AUTOMATIC SAND
FILITER MACHINE
ABSTRACT
 Here we use a motorized shaft that is mounted horizontally using mounts
.
 The shaft is connected to a filter frame with mesh below and enclosing the
frames on the sides .
 We have rod connected from the shaft to the filter frame in away such us
to achieve the best horizontal motion.
 Also , we have frame to hold the filter frame in place while ensuring proper
horizontal motion at the same time .
 On switching on the motor using our motor controller circuit , the system
allows to operate the motor
 This allows us to operate the sand filter motion for appropriate sand
filtering need .
INTRODUCTION
 Here we demonstrate the design and fabrication system. Sand is used in
construction, manufacturing and many industries. Sand needs to be
filtered and separated from unneeded particles, stones and other large
particles before it is put to use

 Mesh : used as the filter
 Motor: used for the rotary motion
 motor specification : rated speed=1500rpm,rated voltage=230v
 rated current=15A ,power=3.5kw
 Mount : supports the roller
 Roller : used for the reciprocating motion
 Connecting rod : which connect motor disc and mesh
 Supporting frame: which supports the whole system
and also resist the vibration

 Weight of the sand = 30 kg
 Radius of the disc =0.04 m
 Torque=force x radius of the disc
 input power= (V x I) kw

 power required to run the motor, P=(2πNT)/60
where N is the speed of motor
T is the torque developed

 Power input= 230 X15= 3.450kw
 Torque =30x9.81x .04
 =11.772
 Output Power=2x3.14x1500x11.772/60
 =1.849kw
 Efficiency =power o/p/power i/p
 =1.849/3.450=54%

CONCLUSION
 we have designed this product with the intention of replacing the existing
manual sand filtering with Automated sand filter machine.
 As a result time consumption ,human effort ,labour force ,cost of labour ,
etc Can be reduced.

SEMI AUTOMATIC SAND FILTER MACHINE

  • 3. ABSTRACT  Here we use a motorized shaft that is mounted horizontally using mounts .  The shaft is connected to a filter frame with mesh below and enclosing the frames on the sides .  We have rod connected from the shaft to the filter frame in away such us to achieve the best horizontal motion.  Also , we have frame to hold the filter frame in place while ensuring proper horizontal motion at the same time .  On switching on the motor using our motor controller circuit , the system allows to operate the motor  This allows us to operate the sand filter motion for appropriate sand filtering need .
  • 4. INTRODUCTION  Here we demonstrate the design and fabrication system. Sand is used in construction, manufacturing and many industries. Sand needs to be filtered and separated from unneeded particles, stones and other large particles before it is put to use

COMPONENTS  Mesh : used as the filter  Motor: used for the rotary motion  motor specification : rated speed=1500rpm,rated voltage=230v  rated current=15A ,power=3.5kw  Mount : supports the roller  Roller : used for the reciprocating motion  Connecting rod : which connect motor disc and mesh  Supporting frame: which supports the whole system and also resist the vibration

  • 11. Design calculations  Weight of the sand = 30 kg  Radius of the disc =0.04 m  Torque=force x radius of the disc  input power= (V x I) kw   power required to run the motor, P=(2πNT)/60 where N is the speed of motor T is the torque developed
  • 12. calculations  Power input= 230 X15= 3.450kw  Torque =30x9.81x .04  =11.772  Output Power=2x3.14x1500x11.772/60  =1.849kw  Efficiency =power o/p/power i/p  =1.849/3.450=54%

  • 16. CONCLUSION  we have designed this product with the intention of replacing the existing manual sand filtering with Automated sand filter machine.  As a result time consumption ,human effort ,labour force ,cost of labour , etc Can be reduced.
