Reduce Liquid Natural Gas Consumption Rate at Ladle Preheating ProcessDeanMardilan
Statistics:
LNG Consumption target is 50 m3/ton
Business Problems:
Based on monthly performance the consumption always exceeded 50 m3/ton output.
The Players:
Utility Operators and Supervisors, Utility Manager and Assistant manager, Steel Making Operators and Supervisors, Steel Making Manager and Assistant Manager, Technical Advisors from Mitsubishi Steel.
Solution:
1. Identified which process consumed the most which is Ladle Preheating Process
2. Did genba/site visit, I collected all information needed regarding this particular process and i found apparently no SOP to be found as how long this process should take. The existing practice was 24 hour long preheating.
3. By understanding the first law of thermodynamics, i understood after a a targeted temperature reached there should be a time where the whole system has reached equilibrium, so it might not need 24 hour long process
4. Did emphirical analysis using correlation and regression as a mean to help predict the ideal preheating time. Took hundreds of data points to make sure that it would represent the central limit theorem
Result/Outcome:
From 24 hour preheating long we managed to reduce the time to 18 hour long. So 6 hours LNG consumption rate reduction per day per prehater - there are 5 preheaters. Which equivalent to around 600 hours consumption rate per month. We also successfully proved that no negative impact to whole process (the molten steel temperature remain relatively constant/no temperature drop from pouring to the next process).
Benefits:
By reducing the amount of LNG consumption we saved around 1 billion rupiahs annually.

Numerous HR policy and procedure changes were required to support the environment to be more agile, thus triggering changes to, as well as the introduction of, non-conventional HR practices.

Techniques to optimize the pagerank algorithm usually fall in two categories. One is to try reducing the work per iteration, and the other is to try reducing the number of iterations. These goals are often at odds with one another. Skipping computation on vertices which have already converged has the potential to save iteration time. Skipping in-identical vertices, with the same in-links, helps reduce duplicate computations and thus could help reduce iteration time. Road networks often have chains which can be short-circuited before pagerank computation to improve performance. Final ranks of chain nodes can be easily calculated. This could reduce both the iteration time, and the number of iterations. If a graph has no dangling nodes, pagerank of each strongly connected component can be computed in topological order. This could help reduce the iteration time, no. of iterations, and also enable multi-iteration concurrency in pagerank computation. The combination of all of the above methods is the STICD algorithm. [sticd] For dynamic graphs, unchanged components whose ranks are unaffected can be skipped altogether.

Di mulai di tahun 2000 pernah menjadi anggota dan notulen di produksi, 2004 – 2013 pernah menjadi thema leader di mm, kemudian tahun 2014 pindah ke workshop dan di percaya sebagai circle leader. alhamdulilah mendapat peringkat 1 pada konvensi qcc spd kemarin, dan saya siap berlaga di konvensi qcc tam tmmin tahun ini, menurut saya leader yg baik adalah belajar dari seorang leader yang baik
Ini adalah hobi dan aktifitas saya dari kecil sampai sekarang saya senang sekali bermain sepak bola
Ada yg menarik dalam permainan sepak bola pak, punya banyak pemain bintang dan banyak uang dalam sebuah club tidak menjamin jadi juara, Begitupun dengan formasi sepak bola, jika semua pemain nya ingin menjadi penyerang dan bertahan di pastikan tidak akan menang,
bisa di buktikan dengan leicester city sebuah team kecil yang tidak di favoritkan tetapi bisa menjadi juara liga inggris musim ini. Di mana team ini mempunyai spirit yang dapat menginspirasi saya yaitu, membangun team, mengatur strategi, teamwork, dan konsistensi. spirit ini akan saya terapkan di group qcc saya dan menjadikan the best workshop in asia pasific
