In strengthening the capacities of the school community we can not do away with DRR in Education which is again Pillar No.2 Preparation for Response is also included in this area.
Once we have awaken their awareness, we will also awaken their enthusiasm. By then we can create and effective and efficient DRRM Team.
Before we prepare, we should have a plan….. The SDRRMP or …….
These will guide you on how to implement RA 10121 and DepEd Order No. 50 s. 2011. What activities you should do, who are the people in-charge or involved, when, where, how much will be the expenses and where will you get the fund?
This is very important
When we allow someone to do something that he or she is not familiar of…….. This is probably what will happen.
So do not skip no. 1 which is disas
Here’s an additional info…… there are only four things you do every time…..
Aside from that, we should be both effective and efficient.
During our 33rd Founding Anniversary, we had a field demonstration with students wearing DRR-related costumes or props. We were able to raise hundreds of hard hats, flashlights, umbrella, rain coats and gloves.
We also borrowed the MMDA earthquake simulator for the community to experience a 7.2 magnitude earthquake.
Let us participate in the NSED regularly and actively. Do different scenarios. Improve continuously. Involve more people.
Use the red and green card.
Ito po ang sinasabi ko.
Ask the schools who are evacuating on the streets.
That’s DRRM for teachers. Next is CCA or Climate Change Adaptation.
