Heavenly Father..... Amen
2. Greetings
Good afternoon class!!!
How are you today?

2) Check your surroundings
3) Kindly mute your microphone. Unmute your
microphone when you say something.
4) Use the chat box to type if you have a
question or something to share
Thank you ma'am!
4. Checking of Attendance
For your attendance, type your full name in the chat
box.
Yes ma'am!
5. Review
Class this afternoon, we will have a game.
This game is called Memory Game.
I will present to you a picture. Then, I will give you
15 seconds- 20 seconds for you to remember of
what you can see in the picture.
Is it clear class?
Your time start now!
So, what living things can you spot on the picture?
How many ducks are in the pond?
Yes ma'am!
Yes ma'am!
(Answers may vary)
3. How many people can you spot on the picture?
Do you see a newspaper?
What non living things can you spot on this picture?
Is there a statue?
Based on the activity, can you remember what our
topic was in the last meeting class?
Very good! You are able to remember our last topic
which is living things and non living things. Living
things refers to things are now or once were alive.
Non living things are anything that was never alive.
Five ma'am
14 ma'am!
Yes ma'am!
(Answers may vary)
Yes ma'am!
Yes ma'am! It is about living and non living
things ma'am.
6. Motivation
Let's have another activity. This activity called four
pics one word.
L
R
Okay ma’am!
EARTH ma’am
LAYER ma’am
5. B. Presentation of the Lesson
What did you observe to our activity class?
What is all about?
Okay very good! Our topic for this afternoon class is
all about the layers of the Earth.
1. Setting Standards
But before that, we have a delivery message today.
Let's open the door. And when you receive the
message, kindly please read what is written in it.
Who would like to welcome the messenger on the
first door?
Oh yes Ms. ____?
Very Good.
Second door...
Oh yes Mr.____?
Very Good.
Third door
Oh yes ____?
Very Good
Last Door…
Oh yes Mr.___?
Okay very good! Can I expect all of that from you
class?
It’s all about the layers of the Earth ma’am
Be Ready ma’am!
Be Respectful ma’am!
Be Attentive ma’am!
Participate Actively ma’am!
Yes ma’am!
6. 2. Lesson Proper
Now let us discuss what are the layers of Earth
The Earth is divided into four main layers.
*Inner Core
*Outer Core
*Mantle
*Crust
3. Analysis/Discussions
Crust - The Earth's outermost surface is called the
crust. The crust is relatively light and brittle. Most
earthquakes occur within the crust.
Lithosphere is made up of the Crust and the Moho.
Two types of Crust
1. Oceanic Crust
2. Continental Crust
Mantle - The mantle is relatively flexible so it flows
instead of fracturing. This is the largest layer of the
Earth.
The mantle is divided into two regions: the upper
and lower sections.
Asthenosphre is the outer layer of the mantle
Outer core – Fluid layer that contains iron. When it
flows it generates the Earth’s magnetic field.
7. Inner core – Solid inner most layer of the Earth.
4. Generalizations
Who can name the four main layers of the Earth that
you have learned today?
Very Good Class!
What do you call the Earth's outermost surface?
Okay, very good!
What are the two kinds of crust that the Earth has?
Very Good Class!
What about the largest layer of the Earth?
Very good class!
What is the liquid layer of the Earth?
Very good class!
Which layer of Earth represents the hard and solid
layer?
Okay very good class!
The four main layer of the Earth are crust,
mantle, inner core and outer core.
Crust ma'am...
Oceanic and Continental Crust
Mantle ma'am!
Outer core ma'am!
Inner core ma'am!
5. Applications
Grade 7 Science -
Chapter 21- Layers of the Earth Activity
In this activity, you will dissect an egg and compare
the layers of the egg to the layers of the Earth.
1. Begin by peeling the shell of the egg off. Answer
the following question before continuing to dissect
the egg.
What is the outer layer of the Earth called?
___________________________________
2. The next layer of the egg is the white of the egg.
It is the middle layer. You will cut through this layer
8. until you reach the yellow portion.
What is the middle layer of the Earth called?
___________________________________
3. The only portion of the egg remaining is the layer
at the center of the egg.
What is this center layer of the Earth called?
______________________________
