Jon receives an urgent phone call from his sister Marri informing him that something has happened to their father. He decides to travel to France immediately to be with his family, despite objections from his boss. Upon arriving in Paris, Jon finds a letter from his father asking him to find him. Jon remembers his father's love of nature and goes searching in the forest, eventually finding his father sitting peacefully on a bench overlooking a clearing.

INT. OFFICE.DAY
JON 26 is an underpaid and overworked office worker, he is in
a creased white shirt. He looks stressed at his desk. His
phone vibrates and he picks up. He hears a female voice on
the line. It is Jon's sister MARRI 28.
MARRI
Jon?
JON
Marri is that you?
MARRI
Yes Jon it's me, it's been a while. I
have to tell you something important.
JON
What is it?
MARRI
Something happened to dad you need to
come home.
She hangs up the phone leaving Jon confused and concerned. He
can't sit still, he knows he needs to travel. He picks up the
phone again, this calling manager MIKE 47.
MIKE
Hi Jon, how can I help you?
JON
My apologies Mike I have a family
emergency I have to travel to France
immediately.
MIKE
You can't do this now, we have the
deadline.
Jon pauses for a long time, he is weighing the choice of
decision. Serious expression falls over his face. He decides
to hang up the phone and head home.

INT-PARIS-DAY
Jon travelled to Paris he is exhausted from his journey, he
starts to look around his family home. He picks up an old
ornament from when he was young and he pauses for a moment
remembering his childhood. He smiles and puts it down.
It starts looking around the home and finally comes across a
letter that has been left for Jon by his father. the letter
reads:
"life moves pretty fast stop look around. find me. dad"
Jon pauses for a moment he thinks where his father could be,
he is not sure and then he starts to remember. He starts to
hear the sounds of nature his father loved.
FADE TO
EXT. FORREST NORMANDY. DAY
Jon starts to walk through the forrest and his struggling to
find his father. He takes a moment and realises he is happy
in nature.
FADE TO
Jon is now at the end of a clearing, he can see a bench in
the distance. Someone is sitting on it.
CUT TO
EXT. BENCH CLEARING. DAY
Jon is setting next to his father father on the bench. He is
filled with emotion after finding his father.
FATHER
So how was the journey?
JON
It was interesting, I finally
understand what you meant.
