Jon, a troubled teen, is experiencing disturbing dreams about a pale girl who tells him to commit violent acts. At a therapy session, Jon reveals he burned a table at the girl's urging in a dream. The dreams escalate, with the girl demanding Jon sacrifice his classmates. Jon reluctantly brings a weapon to school but resists harming others. It's revealed the girl did not truly control Jon. In the end, Jon stares down the girl, saying she never had power over him.

2. FADE IN:
EXT. STREET CORNER - EARLY MORNING
We see two young boys in school uniform talking,
twiddling their thumbs and looking tired. They seem bored
and as if they are waiting for something.
BOY 1
…Yeah man she left mine at like 7.
BOY 2
I can’t believe you didn’t-
BOY 1
(interrupting)
I just don’t wanna rush anything,
man she’s alright.
BOY 2
Ok, mate but just know if you
don’t pull the trigger now-
BOY 1
It’ll be fine man just leave it…
Anyways did you hear about that
kid down the road at St. Peters
BOY 2
Nah what happened?
CUT TO BLACK
We hear the sound of a gun shot.
Title sequence - DJ Shadow “Rabbit in your headlights”
FADE TO:
INT. LARGE ROOM GROUP THERAPY SESSION - DAY
We dolly zoom towards 4 teens, all slouched in chairs in
a circle and a therapist heading the circle looking
obnoxiously and condescendingly over enthusiastic. Jon
our protagonist is in one chair, slightly further away
from the centre of the circle from everyone else.
THERAPIST
Hello everyone! You’re all looking
Happy.

3. 2.
The teens all grunt, and roll their eyes in response.
This doesn’t seem to alter the therapist glowing smile,
despite it being obviously fabricated.
THERAPIST
Now everybody, you are all here
today because your parents and the
school feel it could benefit you.
We all know what it’s like to be a
teen, and know that even though
you’ve been acting up, it’s not
your fault.
One of the teens scoffs at this knowing he did what he
did deliberately.
THERAPIST
Now we’re going to give everyone a
chance to say what they did and
then we will say “It’s not your
fault”
The therapist raises their hands as trying to usher the
students into repeating what she said. They look around
as if they cannot see her doing this.
THERAPIST
Look. You are all in great
positions. You all have university
next year, you don’t want to mess
that up. Just let me in.
Jon seems bothered by this, as he sits up and turns his
head side to side, slow enough that this doesn’t alarm
anyone.
THERAPIST
Alright Ben why don’t you start.
BEN
We just thought it’d be funny.
There’s nothing wrong with us. We
found some spray paint in James’
garage.
James glares at him for outing him.
THERAPIST
Alright what happened from there…
Aiden?
AIDEN
Like ‘e said we got the paint, and
next thing you know were at
school.

4. 3.
JAMES
Yeah and then we painted “Mr
Ferdinand is a paedo”
BEN
Look we ain’t weirdos alright.
Well I mean we’re not I dunno
about this guy.
THERAPIST
No-one in here is a “weirdo” ok.
Anyway that does nicely Segway
into you Jon. Why are you here?
JON
I burned it.
THERAPIST
Burned what?
JAMES
He burned a table cos it said
“Jon’s fancies Niamh”
JON
No. I burned it because she said I
should.
THERAPIST
Niamh told you to burn the table.
JON
No this girl in a dream. She said
to just trust her. I dunno I just
didn’t wanna disappoint her.
THERAPIST
Alright I think we are finished
here.
BEN
Nah miss c’mon help the weirdo.
JAMES
Yeah c’mon Miss help ‘im!
AIDEN
Yeah ‘elp the weirdo!
We circle round the 3 boys as they keep repeating “help
their weirdo” leading to an outburst by Jon -
JON
SHUT UP, JUST SHUT UP OK! I’m not
a weirdo, just have weirdo dreams.

5. 4.
BEN
Alright keep ya hair on.
Jon seems to all of a sudden become disinterested. His
vision veering off, as he notices an innocent girl
dancing behind him, about his age dressed in white. He
starts to say someth-
AIDEN
Oi… mate what’re you staring at.
Jon looks back, as Aiden is waving his hand in front of
Jon’s face. Jon looks back
JON
Oh, nothing.
The other boys become disinterested in Jon. Jon looks
around (the girl is nowhere to be seen) and we abruptly-
SMASH CUT TO BLACK:
CUT TO:
EXT. OUTSIDE SCHOOL - MID MORNING
The boys are back and they are talking
BOY 1
Wait tell me again he what?
BOY 2
I don’t wanna say it again, man,
it messed up!
BOY 2
C’mon! Tell me!
BOY 1
Look he, I dunno it just was… I
don’t the exact details.
BOY 2
Oh. But why?
FADE OUT

6. 5.
FADE IN
INT. BATHROOM - AFTERNOON
Jon walks into his bathroom, turns on the light and leans
over the sink. He stares into the mirror in front of him
and looks incredibly pale. For a few seconds the girl
appears in the mirror.
JON
What do you want from me?
GIRL
Sacrifice…
JON
What?
The girl disappears and Jon seems incredibly confused. He
splashes water on his face and leaves the bathroom.
INT. BEDROOM - AFTERNOON
Jon walks into his bedroom and collapses into bed.
INT. BEDROOM - NIGHT
Jon is sleeping and is drenched in sweat. He looks around
and seems to realise where he is.
JON
Huh. Oh.
He gets out of bed slowly and as he looks up he sees the
scary figure of the girl, which makes him jump. She
quickly disappears.
JON
Oh, crap
He looks around and takes a bottle of water, he drinks it
half of the bottle and puts it down. He sits in his bed
for a while, looking around. He falls back to sleep
FALL WITH HIM
TRANSITION
INT. CLASSROOM - NIGHT
We arrive in a classroom, which is lit naturally at first
but suddenly starts to glow red.

CUT TO
INT. JON’S BEDROOM - NIGHT
Jon is sleeping quite normally but he has scrunched up is
his face.
CUT TO
INT. CLASSROOM - NIGHT
The girl from earlier is in the middle of the room for a
moment. She is wearing a white dress and she seems very
pale.
CUT TO
INT. JON’S BEDROOM - NIGHT
Jon is squirming in his bead, looking very uncomfortable.
CUT TO
INT. CLASSROOM - NIGHT
The girl is close to the camera now, with a scared
expression.
THE GIRL
Do it.
The girl seemingly teleports to the back of the room.
THE GIRL
Do it.
She teleports to the left side of the room
THE GIRL
Do it-
She teleports to a closeup
THE GIRL
NOW!

INT. JON’S BEDROOM - NIGHT
JON
NO!

INT. CLASSROOM - NIGHT
THE GIRL
Please… you know none of them care
about you.
At this point the girl starts to cry black demonic tears.
THE GIRL
None of them even remember your
name. I’m the only one! PLEASE!
The girls face is covered in the black tears. She
teleports to the back of the room.
THE GIRL
You have to do it. It’ll be easy.
THEY DESERVE IT.
INT. JON’S BEDROOM - NIGHT
JON
WHAT?

INT. CLASSROOM - NIGHT
THE GIRL
SACRIFICE THEM!

Jon gets up, in a robotic manner. Instead of looking
around like before he walks straight out of his door. He
walks back in with a shoe box. He lift’s the lid and
looks inside.
CUT TO
EXT. STREET - DAY
The boy walks to school. He walks in a robotic manner but
his face progressively gets more and more scrunched up.
He is holding the box in his hands. He walks to the song
“Building steam with a grain of salt”. Every now and then
he looks behind himself and sees the girl. He stands
before a school. Lingers for a minute and then enters in
box in hand.
JON
No. I won’t let you do this.
GIRL
You don’t have control you can’t
stop me, NOW DO IT!
We hear the sound of a gun shot.
FADE OUT

10. 9.
FADE IN
EXT. DIFFERENT STREET - MORNING
The boys discuss the events that just take place, just as
they walk into school.
BOY 1
I don’t think he had any control.
people said he completely changed
in the weeks leading up to it,
BOY 2
Nah some part of him must of known
So you blame him?
BOY 1
Nah I mean. I guess it’s not his
fault.
BOY 1
I just can’t get over it.
BOY 2
Yeah we saw him all the time
walking to school.
BOY 1
I could never do that man. Kill
myself.
BOY 2
Yeah and it all happens so
quickly. With a click of your
fingers suddenly -
CUT TO BLACK
We hear the sound of a gun shot.
FADE IN
EXT. STREET - DAY
We see a wide shot of the girl hovering over the boy.
GIRL
How…?
JON
You never had control
