 A partly enclosed coastal body of water
with one or more rivers or streams
flowing into it, and with a free
connection to the open sea
 Where freshwater mixes with salt water

living and interacting with one another
in a particular environment.
Habitat
 The area or natural environment in
which an organism or population
normally lives.
Habitat
 A habitat is made up biotic factors such
as the availability of food and the
presence of predators.

 The protection, preservation,

 The process by which soil and rock are
removed from the Earth's surface by
natural processes such as wind or
water flow

 The accumulation or laying down of
matter by a natural process, as the
laying down of sediments in a river or
the accumulation of minerals

– The amount of surface area per unit
volume of an object or collection of
objects.
– The surface-area-to-volume ratio is
measured in units of inverse distance

surface to volume ratio for a cube is thus
shown as.

  • 7. Estuary/ies  A partly enclosed coastal body of water with one or more rivers or streams flowing into it, and with a free connection to the open sea  Where freshwater mixes with salt water
  • 8. Community  A group of organisms or populations living and interacting with one another in a particular environment.
  • 9. Habitat  The area or natural environment in which an organism or population normally lives.
  • 10. Habitat  A habitat is made up biotic factors such as the availability of food and the presence of predators.  A habitat is not necessarily a geographic area—for a parasitic organism it is the body of its host or even a cell within the host's body
  • 11. Conservation  The protection, preservation, management, or restoration of natural environments and the ecological communities that inhabit them
  • 12. Ecosystem  A community of organisms together with their physical environment, viewed as a system of interacting and interdependent relationships
