I went to the Marshall M. Fredericks Sculpture Museum for my art experience project. I was
impressed with the amount of statues I was able to see in one place. A majority of them seem to have
been created and donated by the Fredericks family themselves. As I said before the amount of statues
in this little space is impressive, however my first impression is the feeling of claustrophobia.
The statues are packed in fairly tight and the space overall doesn t seem to be well utilized. The room
it was in did however provide an ample amount of natural light from the large windowed wall to the
north. This coupled with the recessed lighting did a good job of lighting the statues facing the northern
wall. Unfortunately though, some of the statues are facing the southern wall and lose a little detail to
not being as well lit from only the recessed lighting. The contrast between well lit and dimly lit does
lend to contrast in light and shadow for the statues facing the east and west walls. The contours of
these statues are much more defined because of the line of contrast so they seem to draw me in the
most. I also get this cold feeling, even though the floors are more of a warm/neutral color. I believe
this is due to the lack of a large amount of the statues not being colored at all. The few that are colored
are just antiqued bronze so they are mostly that powder blue/green color. The lack of color though, I
feel, is intended to make a point.

The marriage was happy, except Mrs. Jefferson s ill health. Of their six children, only two, both of
them girls, lived to maturity. Martha Jefferson died in 1782. The death of his wife had a profound
effect on Jefferson and probably influenced his return to politics, which Thomas Jefferson had
considered leaving.
On June 21, 1775, Jefferson took his seat in Congress. The following summer, Jefferson sat in
Congress as an elected delegate, not as an alternate. It was at this session that Thomas Jefferson wrote
his most famous document, the Declaration of Independence. On July 4, 1776, the Declaration of
Independence was formally adopted. The connections with America with Great Britain were broken.
Within a few days the declaration was being read to people throughout the colonies, and it was
received with great pride.

Sub atomic particles, known as quarks, electrons, photons, and neutrinos were strewn across
expanding space. Equal amounts of matter and antimatter particles began to collide and annihilate
each other. Gravity, strong and weak nuclear forces, and electromagnetic forces soon came into play.

Strings would also give rise to the forces of nature: gravity, strong and weak nuclear forces, and
electromagnetism. Atoms contain protons that produce a positive charge, neutrons that produce a
neutral charge, and electrons that produce a negative charge. According to the theory, electrons and
quarks, which make up protons and neutrons, were produced by minuscule, one dimensional,
randomly behaving, vibrating strings of energy. A property of matter or force of nature would be the
result when the strings vibrate and interact with each other.

modified theory had to include quantum gravity, a high frequency, string vibration that would produce
a graviton. A graviton is responsible for curving surrounding space. The Super String Theory soon
replaced the Not so super String Theory. Particle/wave duality of matter and energy on the quantum
level joined the mix, boson/fermion partnerships known as supersymmetry brought the wine, quantum

Blink is great book about leadership and making decisions which was published on Jan 11th , 2005 by
the great journalist, Malcolm Gladwell who is an expert of talking and leadership. He was born on
September 3rd 1936. He has been a staff writer for the New Yorker since 1996. His books are: Blink,
The Tipping Point, Out Lier.
In Blink, writer Malcolm Gladwell explores the psychology of snap decisions and quick thinking. He
illuminates how our subconscious biases affect the way we think and behave. He concludes that we
shouldn t always rely on our snap judgments.

proves that people don t always know what they want; they have to be told. In the case of margarine,
for instance, people weren t consciously aware that they would respond to margarine wrapped in
attractive gold foil it wasn t until Cheskin released margarine of this kind that people discovered their
attraction to such a product. It s also important to notice that Cheskin didn t change the taste of
margarine; rather, he only altered the product s presentation. Good packaging can be very important

Lactase Intolerance
Only one third of the human population is capable of digesting lactose, which is the sugar found in
milk. This is most likely because only certain societies amongst the globe domesticated cows for a
food and income source around ten thousand years ago. People who had ancestors that were apart of
these communities are more likely to be lactase persistent than those who do not. Communities such
as these were often seen in places such as Europe and Africa, which can likely be an explanation for
why lactase persistence is often found in those with European and African ancestry, while those with
Asian backgrounds are often lactase intolerant.
Lactose, which is the main sugar in milk, is very difficult for the small intestine to process. Because of
this, cells are required to make an enzyme referred to as lactase, which is only found in newly born
mammals, along with lactase persistent adult mammals. Lactase then breaks lactose into glucose and
galactose, possibly through the process of hydrolysis, and then the two sugars are entered into the

They compared the lactase gene on chromosome two between those who were lactase persistent and
those who were lactase intolerant and found that there was a one base difference, being a T instead of
a C. This can be considered a mutation found in European countries.
