Vitiligo Research Paper
Melanin is an important part of the body that is produced by melanocytes. Melanin gives the hair,
skin, and eyes color as well as protects the body from the ultra violet rays that radiate from the sun.
The amount of melanin in the body determines the complexion of the skin. Vitiligo occurs when these
important melanocytes die in patches around the body. This differs from the aging process, when
melanocytes stop producing melanin which results in white or gray hair. Vitiligo is a non contagious,
non life threatening condition which causes a discoloration of the skin that appears over time, but does
not go away. Most people say this condition is painless, but some report itching, and pain. This
condition affects millions of people around the world, proportionately between men and women, and
can be present in any given race, although it is more apparent in darker skin ... Show more content on

Vitiligo does not happen over night, the skin discoloration whitens over time with cycles of cessation
and progressive whitening. Early precursors to vitiligo include premature whitening of the hair on the
scalp , loss of color in the mucosa, loss of color or change in the retina. According to the American
Academy of Dermatology, generalized vitiligo often begins on hands, fingertips, wrists, around the
eyes or mouth, or on the feet.
The diagnosis of this condition is usually achieved with a complete family history and a physical
examination of the skin. A complete family history can rule out causes of skin discoloration such as
psoriasis. Upon physical examination the doctor may use a lamp called Wood s lamp, which shines
ultra violet light to see any discoloration that may be occurring that is not yet apparent to the naked
eye. Topical creams, medicines, lotions, or sunblock should not be applied prior to the examination as
it could distort any

Persuasive Speech For The Iphone
Android is a platform that any company can use. As their slogan says Be Together, Not The Same
meaning even though everyone is different everyone can work together as one. You may say that
Android is not as good as IPhone but it matters of which company Android phone you are talking
about. The real Android phones are Nexus. They are the hain pure Android phones. So that s why
Android should Be the platform that everyone uses in the world and Never get fooled by Apples great
marketing. My first reason, Nexus has some of the best priced phone. For a Nexus 6P 128GB version
cost the same as a Iphone 6s 16GB version. As you can see Apple has the worst priced phones. Apple

This is my opinion but it s a lot of other Pc user opinion of Apple. Buzzfeed did a video where they

Buzzfeed did a video on Mac users trying a Windows computer. The Mac users were surprised on all
the functions that you could do. Adding on, Relating to the table if you look at the prices you can get a

on both sides of the debate of Apple vs. Windows computer said that Apple is not as Customizable

Windows computer would not be too different to Android. So if you want to feel like it is your phone

Telecommuting Suggestions for Organizations
Before recommending a course of action, it is useful to identify an underlying principle that is of
unequivocal importance to the success of this organization. A massive portion of the organization s
value lies within its members, or employees. Decisions regarding how this organization should
continue forward, regarding their policies on telework, will have a major impact on many of the
employees. Thus, it is crucial that whatever decision is made, the employees must feel like they have
been treated fairly. If the employees perceive that their employer is treating them unfairly, they will
likely engage in unproductive or even destructive, behaviors. I would like to continue deviating from
the recommendation, to identify some information that one would need to collect before forming a
recommendation in a real world scenario. The fact is that the organization currently has some workers
teleworking and some reporting physically. One must analyze how the current business practices have
affected organizational success, before worrying about what direction is best for the future. Of course,
the current business practice in question, is whether employees perform better working from home or
reporting to the office everyday. The answer to this question is both objective and subjective. When
considering the performance of sales personnel, this is a reasonably objective question. One could
simply compare the average sales between the two groups or workers. This would

Comparing Plato s Allegory Of The Cave And The Matrix
In Plato s Allegory of the Cave and the Wachowskis The Matrix, the ideas of truth are that it can only
be defined by how far one is willing to think outside of their own reality. Both the allegory and the
film depict truth as a key of sorts for individuals to break free from their imprisonment. This can be
seen by Neo s physical escape from the pod, which he had been unknowingly trapped in his whole life
and his ascension to light after being swept down the pod s tube. The tube which swept Neo away is
alike to the freed prisoner being dragged...into the sunlight by force in Plato s allegory; the two
characters are being forced to have their senses enlightened once they ve been freed from the chains
on their bodies (but their minds still need to get adjusted to seeing the world in a new way). However,
the allegory and the film differ in that Plato s prison is a physical cave which houses it s prisoners,
while the matrix is a program that confines people s minds, thus is limitless while inside. With ...

In the end, it all comes down to perception, whether or not if that perception of ours is skewed. This is
why Plato stresses the importance of the upward journey which the freed prisoner takes, how it is
reached only with difficulty because of the external factors which can alter our minds. It shows how
the intelligible realm of our minds/ why we must constantly reflect upon and question what we think,
even if it s hard to do, because we as humans constantly strive to better ourselves. Otherwise, on the
most basic level of life, what else would be our purpose? The Matrix film demonstrates this purpose in
Neo s search for an answer to the question he had been subconsciously asking, as he had always felt
like something was wrong during his ignorance in the false

How Muscular Forces Exerted By The Masticatory Muscles
Muscular forces exerted by the masticatory muscles can influence the success of prosthetic
rehabilitation. Maximum voluntary bite force is an indicator of the functional state of the masticatory
system. The measurement of bite force can provide useful data for the evaluation of jaw muscle
function and activity. Aim: the aim of this study was to find out whether there was a correlation
between Electromyographic activity EMG and bite force in extracoronal attachment retained distal
extension partial dentures or not and is this correlation directly or inversely proportional. materials and
methods: Fourteen patients with mandibular class I Kennedy s classification were selected Patients
received lower skeleton partial dentures designed with a lingual bar major connector and a resilient
extracoronal attachment incorporated between the abutment and the denture base. EMG recording and
biting force of the participants was measured immediately, after one week, and after one month of
denture insertion. Results: revealed a statistically significant increase in biting force and EMG activity
throughout the one month follow up period Conclusion: A linear positive relation between
Electromyographic activity and bite force measurements was observed in case of extracoronal
attachment retained distal extension partial denture.

Dallas Cowboys organization happy but most importantly make Dez feel like he is wanted and

Back in May of 2014, Dez called him self one of the best receivers in the NFL, and he is ready to get
paid like one. Everyone had something to say about that at the time as well. Calling him cocky and
arrogant He answered his haters by catching 88 balls for 1320 yards and 16 touchdowns this last
season. He not only lead the NFL with receiving touchdowns last year. but his remarkable 56
touchdowns in the last five season is the best and leads all the receivers currently in the league. Dez
Bryant is arguably the best wide receiver in the league. Although only ignorant people would argue
with that statement. Probably the same ignorant people that placed him at number 15 in the leagues
Top 100 . Anyways besides the point. Bryant has played his heart out he doesn t just bring record

Las Vegas Movie Analysis
Before watching this movie, I thought Las Vegas is a place that shapes many people s life and decides
their destinies. And the only determine factor of winning money is luck. For example, when two
people bring the same amount of money to Las Vegas, one of them may become a millionaire and
another person may lose everything during one night. However, after watching this movie, my
impression to statistics has totally changed. It seems that people can use statistics to help gain the
greatest advantages in many circumstances. Also, I saw the dark side in human nature. Teacher
Mickey is a main character in the movie. He is a greedy, ambitious person who uses his students to
earn money. Obviously, he is not a qualified teacher. Therefore, I think society should pay more
attention to select teacher, because teacher can directly influence the next generation.
In this movie, the main character Ben is a college student who is good at math. He receives Harford
Medical School s offer, however, he doesn t have enough money to pay the tuition. At this time, his
calculus professor notices his talent on calculating. Then the professor invites him to become a
member of a math group and uses his talent to earn money in Las Vegas. The professor finds that Ben
has a gifted brain is because he successfully solves a famous statistic question which is Monty Hall

Introduction
The purpose of this recommendation report is to recommend the best practice for voter identification
and consistent voting laws in the United States. The audience for this report includes United States
citizens, US Congress, those aspiring to become US Citizens. Based on my research, I recommend
that the officials of this country come together to create equal and strict voting laws to ensure the
integrity of Presidential Elections.
Background
Throughout US History, voting laws and methods has evolved tremendously. Laws governing the US
elections date back to Article 1 of the Constitution, which gave the states the responsibility of
overseeing federal elections. In order to win the presidency, as it is today, the candidate needs a
majority of 270 electoral votes out of a possible 538 (Staff). You may be asking yourself why the US
determines who wins the Presidential election based off of electoral votes rather than the winner of the
overall popular vote. The reason being, our Founders rejected a direct vote for president; they needed

Utopian Society In The Giver, Directed By Phillip Noyce
Everyone is the same. Everything is the same. The Giver, directed by Phillip Noyce, is set in a utopian
society. This community was created to bring sameness to people and leave out pain, emotion, and
differentness. Ruled by The Elders , the members of the community are assigned to a specific job,
which dwelling you live in and who you live in it with. The Elders also decide all of the rules
including a ban on lying, a community curfew, and the words you use. When the leading role, Jonas
(Brenton Thwaites), is assigned to be the next Receiver of Memories, he begins to learn things no one
else in the communities knows. After he sees enough of the past, he realizes that he must leave his
perfect community in order to bring the memories back ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I think that is was a great effect on the cinematography side and a great way to set the mood for the
movie. At one point, the camera moved from the viewpoint of in front of a building in the center of the
communities out to a view of all the communities as a whole. By doing this, the viewer saw that all
the building and all the dwellings , or houses, were like a mirror image of each other. Everything
seemed to be symmetrical. And this just goes along with the theme of the movie perfectly. Everyone is
the same. Everything is the same. The color palette that is used also ties into the theme very well. The
beginning of the movie is in all black and white. This is what the members of the community see. The
Elders have not only taken away freedom, they have also taken away color. Once Jonas learns about
each color, it is brought back to the movie. I think this idea was brilliant. It puts the view in the eyes of
Jonas and his transition to being an ordinary human . Coincidentally, the phrase ordinary human is
also the name of the featured song in the movie. This brings me to the score of the overall movie. I
really enjoyed each piece of music that was used for this movie. Each and every time there was music,
it really set the mood for the setting. The time the music really stuck out to me was during the
Ceremony of the Graduates . While Jonas is standing on the stage waiting for his name to be called,
the music made me feel the anticipation. It was upbeat, then slow, then upbeat again and I feel like I
was going through the ceremony right there next to

Masculinity In The Film The Mask You Live In
Usually when I think about a mask, I think about scary halloweens and fake goblins, but people have
been wearing invisible mask for their whole lives without knowing. There is nothing fake about the
invisible mask that men have to wear, but it is indeed scary. In the film, The Mask You Live In,
directed by Jennifer Siebel Newsom, explores how our culture s narrow definition of masculinity is
harming our boys and men. The film educates the viewers about the emotional expression, suicide
rates, and sexuality of men. MAN UP! Men don t cry are words that sound all too familiar to me; I

Airbus was the world s leading aircraft manufacturer in 2009 going by the number of aircraft
delivered during the year. The company had been using RFID in its operations since 1997 but on a
lower scale and targeted at improving its internal processes. In mid 2000s, Airbus started using RFID
technology more widely, starting with its spare parts supply chain. After sucessful pilot tests, Airbus

Bealtaine Research Paper
The Festival of Bealtaine, also known as May Day, marks the beginning of the summer. It
encompasses the sunset of April 30th, which is May Eve, to the sunset of May 1st, which is the actual
May Day. The most significant time of this festival is between dawn and sunrise. It is a key element of
the annual cycle and is one of four of the True Quarters, which also includes Samhain, Saint Brigid s

which highlights how cycles are central elements in one s life. The daily cycle of waking up and

the cycle of life and death. Bealtaine is a crucial marker in the year that serves as the start of not only

Internal Struggles Of The Bread Giver
Internal Struggles of the Bread Giver
The Bread Giver is about an internal struggle that went on within a recently immigrated Jewish family.
Not only were they coping with the changes of coming to America, but gender roles within the larger
community were also shifting. The turn of the century was ripe to explore areas of tradition that many
racial groups considered revered, and traditionally held beliefs would be called into question when
likened to issues of practicality and basic survival needs. The evolutionary process from old to new
had begun and there was no way to stop its forward movement. Sara was soon to become a pioneer in
her own right.
Reb Smolinsky, the forbearer of the family, spent his life on a quest for enriched learning and
understanding of the Holy Torah. His Talmudic study and religious discussions were an honored
occupation in the eyes of the Jewish community, but provided little in support for his family;
therefore, the family was forced to accept community donations of charity for their basic needs. While
the pursuit of religious focus was considered a respectable profession among the males, females of the
household were only educated in the essentials and expected to work and sacrifice for the males.
While Mr. Smolinsky saw the badge of poverty as an honor and responsibility, the females in the
family were embarrassed and humiliated amongst their neighbors and always worried about what the
next day would bring. This is hard for some of

Thirty Meter Telescope Controversy
Research and observation in astronomy has discovered exciting details about our place in the
Universe. However, later discoveries have been made because of the innovation of telescope designs
which have astronomers focusing their ideas on more challenging questions and bigger ideas. To
continue this curiosity, project specialists are continuing to build the Thirty Meter Telescope (TMT)
that seems to be the next big step in the astronomical community.
The Thirty Meter Telescope (TMT) is being worked on to become the most advance and powerful

planned location will be in Mauna Kea, Hawaii. The TMT is a reflecting telescope because it uses a

light gathering power of today s best telescopes (Gateway, 2010). TMT s smaller parts, which are less

We live in a universe that is about 46 billion light years old. In a world, as massive as ours there must
be some form of extraterrestrial life out in the galaxy. For thousands of years ancient peoples, such as
the Greeks, have wondered the same question. Are we alone? As our technology advances, things such
as videos and photographs are surfacing of people claiming to see such alien life. Whether it is an
unidentified flying object, or if it s from someone claiming to see an actual alien, there are thousands
of people that believe they have seen proof. Some also claim that the government is hiding things
behind our backs, like the Roswell UFO incident for example. Though many people refuse to believe
in the existence of alien life forms until they see evidence, the fact that multitudes of people have eye
witness accounts, the improbability that we are alone, and the idea that we have thought of aliens so
long, bring forth the evidence that proves something is out there.
First and foremost, over many years there have been plenty of eyewitness reports of things such as
UFO sightings and even some claim to have seen aliens. There are some that claim they ve been
abducted by aliens such as in Travis Walton s case, which is one of the more well known stories. Of
course, many people claim such abductions are simply hoaxes, but other accounts like videos and
photographs are unexplainable. Just going on to Youtube and searching for UFO and alien sightings
can bring up millions of

Dylan Roof Bible Study
Shooting in South Carolina, Crisis in America
How America s Leaders Communicated during the Crisis
On June 17th of 2015, Dylann Roof attended a bible study session at Emanuel African Methodist
Episcopal Church in Charleston, South Carolina. The twenty one year old Roof participated
throughout the bible study, listening to others and even vocally disagreeing with part of the study
involving the scripture. Finally, after roughly an hour since the commencement of the bible study,
Dylann Roof displayed a Glock 41 .45 caliber and aimed it at a fellow study participant. After a brief
interaction with another churchgoer, Roof began opening fire on the thirteen people attending.
Ultimately, Roof would murder nine innocent lives. All of Roof s victims ... Show more content on

In order to recover from this crisis, and to better resolve the overall crisis haunting America, the top
influential leaders in America need to discuss openly and honestly what their goals are and find
commonality. Another important duty the leaders need to achieve is creating a more positive
relationships with all of their stakeholders, not just one s they deem important for their position.
Another suggestion would be to use a more culture centered approach when communicating,
especially due to the racial aspect along with the controversy regarding guns. A culture centered
approach focuses on appropriately communicating with audiences that are often underrepresented
during a crisis (Follman, p.

Rhetorical Analysis Of 1800 Tequila
Essay 1 Rhetorical Analysis
A 1800 Tequila television advertisement from June 1, 2014 titled, Perfect Match , demonstrates a
handsome caucasian man walking into a boxing match after the main audience has taken their seats.
After sitting in a front row seat, a waitress with a bottle that says 1800 serves him a glass of tequila.
He stands for a few seconds while holding his drink in his hand, while he and a attractive female
create an instant attraction towards one another. The boxing match is completely ignored while the
two gaze upon one another. He sits down, still having a complete sense of awareness of the female.
She beams at him and rubs her legs with her hands slowly as if to show him. Raising his glass as if to
cheer, the glass of tequila is fully visible to her specifically. With the boxing match in the camera
angle, the female promptly vanishes. The man is in disarray and wonders where she has gone, but
swiftly she appears to be sitting right next to him. In one hand she has the same glass of tequila the
man has. The two raise their glass to toast as he stares into her eyes. The camera then focuses on the

The man walks into the boxing venue nicely dressed in a suite, but most noticeably after the audience
has already taken their seat. This is a powerful statement to logos. 1800 Tequila suddenly redirects the
main attention away from the boxing match towards the man s arrival making him look important. A
handsome caucasian male who is well dressed is not only a desired figure, but a symbol as well. In
this case he is a symbol of success. The ethos appeal is successfully exercised in this advertisement
because the male seems to be well put together. In other words he is a quintessential figure of this
specific society. By using a handsome male, the audience is led to believe that successful people

How Partitioning Clustering Technique For Implementing...
ABSTRACT : Due to the huge growth and expansion of the World Wide Web, a large amount of
information is available online. Through Search engines we can easily access this information with the
help of Search engine indexing. To facilitate fast and accurate information retrieval search engine
indexing collects, parses, and store data. This paper explains partitioning clustering technique for
implementing indexing phase of search engine. Clustering techniques are widely used for grouping a
set of objects in such a way that objects in the same group are more to each other than to those in other
groups in Web Usage Mining . Clustering methods are largely divided into two groups: hierarchical
and partitioning methods. This paper proposes the k mean partitioning method of clustering and also
provide a comparison of k mean clustering and Single link HAC . Performance of these clustering
techniques are compared according to the execution time based on no of clusters and no of data items
being entered. Keyword:Indexing,Data mining, clustering k Means Clustering, Single Link HAC I.
INTRODUCTION Keeping in mind the end goal to encourage quick and precise data recovery, Search
engine indexing gathers, parses, and stores information. As the Web continues growing, the quantity of
pages filed in a web crawler increments correspondingly. With such a substantial volume of
information, finding applicable data fulfilling client needs in light of basic inquiry questions turns into

The Work Of Henry Ford Made A Lasting Impact On America Essay
When Americans get into their vehicles every day to go to work or school, they do not normally think
about how much transportation has evolved over the years. People started out walking and then later
moved to horse and buggies. During the early 1800 s, railroads were being built from east to west in
this country and trains began to take over. As cities grew, people looked for ways to travel more
efficiently. The work of Henry Ford made a lasting impact on America in regards to both
transportation and manufacturing. Henry Ford was much like other children growing up. Ford was
born on July 30, 1863 in Dearborn, Michigan. He was raised on a farm and others could tell he would
be extremely successful in his future. In order to learn more about the engines and be more successful,
Henry Ford built friendships with the men who ran the full sized steam engines. He learned how to fix
watches in order to understand how machines worked. Ford was intrigued by machines and went the
extra mile to learn more about them. He was willing to risk it all just to pursue his dream and would
not let a bump in the road stop him. Henry Ford decided to take the risk of pursuing his dream of
machines when he left the family farm in 1879 to work at a car company in Michigan. He believed he
had more of an interest in machines than he did in farming, but his father thought differently. Ford s
father wanted him to follow his footsteps on the farm, but unfortunately, it did not turn out in his

Immigration As An Ethical Issue
IMMIGRATION AS AN ETHICAL ISSUE
2
Immigration as an ethical dilemma has attracted decades of debate. It is an ethical issue that has not
found a solution, and it does not appear that it will find one soon. Immigration debates may look
interesting but the two antagonistic groups: those who support immigrant and those who oppose them
seem to score equally with no solution (Kourtsounis, 2014). The groups that oppose immigration have
strongly accused the government for allowing its borders to remain porous to illegal guests. These
groups have strongly indicated that, both legal and illegal immigrants are a threat to American
citizens. On the other hand, even though there is no one who is advocating for immigration directly,
the groups that support immigration urge the Federal and local governments to develop policies that
will legalize refugees who are already seeking
American residents. These groups dwell on the fact that immigrants are also human beings and that
they are possibly looking to the Unites States in search for a safe haven. They also emphasize that
Americans have a sense of obligation through their humanitarian philosophy, and so they cannot
afford to lock them out, nor can they afford to send back illegal children who are looking for safer
place to live. Debaters in this ethical dilemma both have genuine reasons why they support or oppose
immigration.
At the heart of immigration debate are the groups that oppose legal and illegal migration
(Kourtsounis, 2014).

The Four Principles Of Mission Command
According to Army ADP 6 0, Mission command is the exercise of authority and direction by the
commander using mission orders to enable disciplined initiative within the commander s intent to
empower agile and adaptive leaders in the conduct of unified land operations. Effective mission
command can generally be analyzed according to the six principles outlined in ADRP 6 0. The six
principles of mission command are: build cohesive teams through mutual trust, create shared
understanding, provide a clear commander s intent, exercise disciplined initiative, use mission orders,
and accept prudent risk. This paper provides a brief overview of the Battle of Chickamauga and
examines the performance of Confederate General Braxton Bragg during the ... Show more content on

Bragg was unable to successfully implement the first principle of mission command: build cohesive
teams through mutual trust. He also had a history of not utilizing the sixth principle of mission
command: take prudent risk. Bragg s lack of competence regarding these two mission command
principles ultimately set conditions for a poor mission command climate within General Bragg s unit.
Bragg s sub commanders, Generals Hindman, Buckner, Polk, Longstreet, and Hill were all skeptical
of Bragg s leadership and battle plans from his previous campaign at Chattanooga where he retreated
from the city. Bragg was well known for retreating at the first Battle of Chattanooga, and also for
predictably employing frontal assault offensive tactics. His history of predictable plans, retreats, and
inability to take prudent risk caused his subordinate leaders not lose trust in his ability to plan and lead
his Army. One of Bragg s sub commanders, General Hill, stated about Bragg s confidence and poor
sub commander relationships:
He was silent and reserved and seemed gloomy and despondent. He had grown prematurely old since I
saw him last, and showed much nervousness. His relations with his next in command (General Polk)
and with some others of his subordinates were known not to be pleasant Bragg had built a poor
reputation amongst his

Developing A Healthy Organizational Culture Essay
Human Resources approach performs an extremely essential function in creating and maintaining
competitive advantage; many organizations disregard the importance of HR in creating competitive
advantage. The three priorities will require a major transformation in the organization. HR strategy
should support the conversion, and help the workforces to acclimatize in a different environment. One
major objective of the innovative HR strategy will be to create a healthy organizational culture that
supports innovation, collaboration, and intercontinental operation. Leadership plays an enormously
important role in developing a healthy organizational culture. (Dessler, 2013) Furthermore, the
innovative HR strategy will provide the workforces a platform where they can express their opinion,
thoughts, recommendations, and perspectives for the conception of a more productive workplace. The
workforces can also share their views on how to create a supportive organizational culture. The
personnel will likewise share their ideas and recommendations on improving processes, cutting
expenditure, reducing waste etc. The Availability of such platform will improve employee satisfaction,
create a sense of ownership, involve employees in decision making, and motivate employees to
achieve their individual as well as organizational objectives. (Dessler, 2013) Additionally, the
modernistic HR strategy will develop a workforce preparation procedure that can determine the
critical abilities and skills of

The Problem Of Teen Depression Stigma
Teen Depression Stigma It is proven that one in five teens experience depression. Depression is a
condition where a person feels hopeless, not motivated, or not interested in life, lasting at least 2
weeks or longer. There is an urgency to start talking about dealing with this because suicide is the
third leading cause of death in teens and fifteen percent of teens have actually considered suicide.
According to Amy Sutton 55% of the population without depression don t consider it to be an actual
disease. This stigma is making it close to impossible for teens to say they are going through
depression. Some people say it is just a phase , kids cannot get depression , or people with depression
are crazy . The contributing factors of rational thought, the stigma, judgement, and fear of treatment
make dealing with the depression that much more difficult. In the last few years, studies have proven
that at least one in five teens have had at least one depressive episode before going into college. The
Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) acknowledged, In 2000, around 3.5 million high
school students have suicide ideation, two million have made specific suicide plans, and 1 million
have made suicide attempts. . The CDC mentioned, in the early 2000s depression in teens had been
common, and it has gotten worse yet. Young children and young adults could go without treatment or
diagnoses because they were just being kids or just being a teenager . It is true

Russia and the Underlying Causes of Homophobia
Russia and the Underlying Causes of Homophobia
Although homophobia exists in nearly all societies, Russia has recently gained notoriety for its
intolerance of homosexual behavior. In a world that is becoming more and more accepting and
tolerant of homosexuality, Russia seems to be moving backward when it comes to LGBTQ rights.
Understandably, Russia s tumultuous political past must be a strong contributor to today s attitudes
towards homosexuality. Under the Tsars, homosexuality was a crime punishable by imprisonment or
death, after Lenin came to power after the October Revolution, homosexuality was decriminalized and
homosexuals were allowed to hold office in the newly formed Soviet Union. However, as anti gay
laws were enacted by Stalin, homosexuals were seen as a danger to the state and sent to prisons and
forgot about. After the glasnost, Yeltsin under pressure from the Council of Europe, legalized
homosexuality in 1993. But under Putin, homosexuals have been under fire due to a series of anti gay
propaganda laws and an increasingly homophobic Russia society. This is due to the increase of
influence of the Russian Orthodox Church, the effect the media has on the populace as controlled by
the hegemony, and the use of homosexuality as a scapegoat of Russia s problems. Although the use of
religion as a weapon against LGBTQ people is not uncommon, it is one of the primary reasons for the
current hostile attitudes towards homosexuals. During the Communist Era, the

This chapter includes general information related to the main subject of this project which is a fogging
system. How does the system work?
The working principle of the fog cooling system can be summarized as this system utilizes very high
pressure water about 1000 psi or 70 pars which occurred from a pump with high quality and delivery
lines to create a very fine droplets size nearly 10 micron from specifically designed nozzles. Then,
these fine droplets are quickly evaporated and absorbed the heat found in the air. In order to offer an
excellent cooling; fog cooling systems use something called flash evaporation (Giacomelli, 2003). Fog

For better performance, cooling fans sometimes are added for the purpose of air circulation in closed
areas, where the expected temperature will differ based on the climatic conditions, where cooling to
12°C is possible under the best circumstances (Yuwana et al., 2011). Evaporative Cooling
Fog evaporative cooling system is similar to the conventional misting system in many aspects. But it
works at a much higher pressure reached to (1000 2000 lb in 2; 7000 14000 kPa) and tiny nozzles with
(1.2 gal hr 1; 4.5 L hr 1) volume. The tiny droplets can evaporate more quickly and efficiently, the
evaporation rate is influenced also by the area of the surface, where the relation between them is
proportionally. High quality filtration and water systems are necessary for reducing the clogging
nozzles problem (Giacomelli, 2003).
The evaporative cooling system is usually consisted of two lengths of fog nozzles (0.5 in; 1.3 cm)
PVC pipe diameter. The nozzles may be made of high pressure, stainless steel and it could produce a
water droplets or fog with 0.2 mm diameter at (1.3 ml s 1 ;1.2 gal hr 1) flow rate and (3450 kPa ;500
lb in 2) pressure. The effectiveness of cooling is defined as the ratio of the reduction of the immediate
inner dry bulb air temperature to the depression of the inner wet bulb, before fogging, is determined
and calculated to 50% 70%. thus, if the

The Negative Effects Of Television Violence
Children aged five to sixteen spend an average of six and a half hours a day in front of a screen...
(Wakefield). But unfortunately, much of the television today is full of violence. Scientists believe that
the effects of TV violence can cause children and teenagers to become immune to the consequence of
violence, unable to handle their problems in a healthy form, and cause them to copy the violent
behavior they see on the television. Therefore, there needs to be a removal of violence from cartoons
such as the ones on Boomerang, as it is negatively affecting children.
One cause from the effect of violence from TV is, it can cause children or teenagers to become
immune to the consequence of violence, terror or horror. Children and teenagers can become immune
as a result of violence when they watch violent cartoons.
One opposing this might state that if we have a removal of violent cartoons that takes away the right to
choose what people can watch on television. But, the people against the removal of violence from
cartoons may not understand how much violence children are seeing for every hour they watch
cartoons. Studies by George Gerbner, Ph.D., at the University of Pennsylvania, have shown that
children s TV shows contain about 20 violent acts each our (CMU). Eventually, this could cause them
to be immune to the violence if they are watching it for the average amount per day, six and a half
hours.

He was staring at the snowman, his face almost as white.
D d d did you s s s see THAT? he stammered.
I looked at the snowman but nothing happened. I looked at the snowman again, still nothing happened.
Then Charlie gasped. I saw that the arm was in a different place than before. Then I saw his arm move
again and then his head, then his body. He hopped up from the spot he was put in, to a different spot. I
was just amazed by the thought of a snowman jumping. Then I walked over to it and touched the
snowman. It just looked at me then looked back at Charlie and started laughing. The laugh sounded
familiar, just like my other friend, Brian, he always laughs with a cackle and snorts at the same time.
Stuck my hand in the snowman the snow was cold and hard, it felt like my hand was going to freeze

  • 2. Vitiligo Research Paper Melanin is an important part of the body that is produced by melanocytes. Melanin gives the hair, skin, and eyes color as well as protects the body from the ultra violet rays that radiate from the sun. The amount of melanin in the body determines the complexion of the skin. Vitiligo occurs when these important melanocytes die in patches around the body. This differs from the aging process, when melanocytes stop producing melanin which results in white or gray hair. Vitiligo is a non contagious, non life threatening condition which causes a discoloration of the skin that appears over time, but does not go away. Most people say this condition is painless, but some report itching, and pain. This condition affects millions of people around the world, proportionately between men and women, and can be present in any given race, although it is more apparent in darker skin ... Early precursors to vitiligo include premature whitening of the hair on the scalp , loss of color in the mucosa, loss of color or change in the retina. According to the American Academy of Dermatology, generalized vitiligo often begins on hands, fingertips, wrists, around the eyes or mouth, or on the feet. The diagnosis of this condition is usually achieved with a complete family history and a physical examination of the skin. A complete family history can rule out causes of skin discoloration such as psoriasis. Upon physical examination the doctor may use a lamp called Wood s lamp, which shines ultra violet light to see any discoloration that may be occurring that is not yet apparent to the naked eye. Topical creams, medicines, lotions, or sunblock should not be applied prior to the examination as it could distort any ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 4. Telecommuting Suggestions for Organizations Before recommending a course of action, it is useful to identify an underlying principle that is of unequivocal importance to the success of this organization. A massive portion of the organization s value lies within its members, or employees. Decisions regarding how this organization should continue forward, regarding their policies on telework, will have a major impact on many of the employees. Thus, it is crucial that whatever decision is made, the employees must feel like they have been treated fairly. If the employees perceive that their employer is treating them unfairly, they will likely engage in unproductive or even destructive, behaviors. I would like to continue deviating from the recommendation, to identify some information that one would need to collect before forming a recommendation in a real world scenario. The fact is that the organization currently has some workers teleworking and some reporting physically. One must analyze how the current business practices have affected organizational success, before worrying about what direction is best for the future. Of course, the current business practice in question, is whether employees perform better working from home or reporting to the office everyday. The answer to this question is both objective and subjective. When considering the performance of sales personnel, this is a reasonably objective question. One could simply compare the average sales between the two groups or workers. This would ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. Comparing Plato s Allegory Of The Cave And The Matrix In Plato s Allegory of the Cave and the Wachowskis The Matrix, the ideas of truth are that it can only be defined by how far one is willing to think outside of their own reality. Both the allegory and the film depict truth as a key of sorts for individuals to break free from their imprisonment. This can be seen by Neo s physical escape from the pod, which he had been unknowingly trapped in his whole life and his ascension to light after being swept down the pod s tube. The tube which swept Neo away is alike to the freed prisoner being dragged...into the sunlight by force in Plato s allegory; the two characters are being forced to have their senses enlightened once they ve been freed from the chains on their bodies (but their minds still need to get adjusted to seeing the world in a new way). However, after watching this movie, my impression to statistics has totally changed. It seems that people can use statistics to help gain the greatest advantages in many circumstances. Also, I saw the dark side in human nature. Teacher Mickey is a main character in the movie. He is a greedy, ambitious person who uses his students to earn money. Obviously, he is not a qualified teacher. Therefore, I think society should pay more attention to select teacher, because teacher can directly influence the next generation. The audience for this report includes United States citizens, US Congress, those aspiring to become US Citizens. Based on my research, I recommend that the officials of this country come together to create equal and strict voting laws to ensure the integrity of Presidential Elections. Background Throughout US History, voting laws and methods has evolved tremendously. Laws governing the US elections date back to Article 1 of the Constitution, which gave the states the responsibility of overseeing federal elections. In order to win the presidency, as it is today, the candidate needs a majority of 270 electoral votes out of a possible 538 (Staff). At one point, the camera moved from the viewpoint of in front of a building in the center of the communities out to a view of all the communities as a whole. By doing this, the viewer saw that all the building and all the dwellings , or houses, were like a mirror image of each other. Everything seemed to be symmetrical. And this just goes along with the theme of the movie perfectly. Everyone is the same. Everything is the same. The color palette that is used also ties into the theme very well. The beginning of the movie is in all black and white. This is what the members of the community see. The Elders have not only taken away freedom, they have also taken away color. Once Jonas learns about each color, it is brought back to the movie. I think this idea was brilliant. It puts the view in the eyes of Jonas and his transition to being an ordinary human . Coincidentally, the phrase ordinary human is also the name of the featured song in the movie. This brings me to the score of the overall movie. I really enjoyed each piece of music that was used for this movie. Each and every time there was music, it really set the mood for the setting. The time the music really stuck out to me was during the Ceremony of the Graduates . While Jonas is standing on the stage waiting for his name to be called, the music made me feel the anticipation. She laid the toad in the grass and said You re safe forever. This whole part of the book made me think how she have up the water that would make her live forever on a toad. She probably thought about the circle of life how she wanted to die, not now but someday. I think the author was trying to show that you should think about a decision for a long time before you do something and that how Winnie made her mind to give it to the toad and not just think about ... • 21. Persuasive Essay About Aliens We live in a universe that is about 46 billion light years old. In a world, as massive as ours there must be some form of extraterrestrial life out in the galaxy. For thousands of years ancient peoples, such as the Greeks, have wondered the same question. Are we alone? As our technology advances, things such as videos and photographs are surfacing of people claiming to see such alien life. Whether it is an unidentified flying object, or if it s from someone claiming to see an actual alien, there are thousands of people that believe they have seen proof. Some also claim that the government is hiding things behind our backs, like the Roswell UFO incident for example. Though many people refuse to believe in the existence of alien life forms until they see evidence, the fact that multitudes of people have eye witness accounts, the improbability that we are alone, and the idea that we have thought of aliens so long, bring forth the evidence that proves something is out there. First and foremost, over many years there have been plenty of eyewitness reports of things such as UFO sightings and even some claim to have seen aliens. There are some that claim they ve been abducted by aliens such as in Travis Walton s case, which is one of the more well known stories. Of course, many people claim such abductions are simply hoaxes, but other accounts like videos and photographs are unexplainable. Just going on to Youtube and searching for UFO and alien sightings can bring up millions of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

After sitting in a front row seat, a waitress with a bottle that says 1800 serves him a glass of tequila. He stands for a few seconds while holding his drink in his hand, while he and a attractive female create an instant attraction towards one another. The boxing match is completely ignored while the two gaze upon one another. He sits down, still having a complete sense of awareness of the female. She beams at him and rubs her legs with her hands slowly as if to show him. Raising his glass as if to cheer, the glass of tequila is fully visible to her specifically. With the boxing match in the camera angle, the female promptly vanishes. The man is in disarray and wonders where she has gone, but swiftly she appears to be sitting right next to him. • 26. The Work Of Henry Ford Made A Lasting Impact On America Essay When Americans get into their vehicles every day to go to work or school, they do not normally think about how much transportation has evolved over the years. People started out walking and then later moved to horse and buggies. During the early 1800 s, railroads were being built from east to west in this country and trains began to take over. As cities grew, people looked for ways to travel more efficiently. The work of Henry Ford made a lasting impact on America in regards to both transportation and manufacturing. Henry Ford was much like other children growing up. Ford was born on July 30, 1863 in Dearborn, Michigan. He was raised on a farm and others could tell he would be extremely successful in his future. In order to learn more about the engines and be more successful, Henry Ford built friendships with the men who ran the full sized steam engines. He learned how to fix watches in order to understand how machines worked. Ford was intrigued by machines and went the extra mile to learn more about them. He was willing to risk it all just to pursue his dream and would not let a bump in the road stop him. Henry Ford decided to take the risk of pursuing his dream of machines when he left the family farm in 1879 to work at a car company in Michigan. He believed he had more of an interest in machines than he did in farming, but his father thought differently. • 27. Immigration As An Ethical Issue IMMIGRATION AS AN ETHICAL ISSUE 2 Immigration as an ethical dilemma has attracted decades of debate. It is an ethical issue that has not found a solution, and it does not appear that it will find one soon. Immigration debates may look interesting but the two antagonistic groups: those who support immigrant and those who oppose them seem to score equally with no solution (Kourtsounis, 2014). The groups that oppose immigration have strongly accused the government for allowing its borders to remain porous to illegal guests. These groups have strongly indicated that, both legal and illegal immigrants are a threat to American citizens. On the other hand, even though there is no one who is advocating for immigration directly, the groups that support immigration urge the Federal and local governments to develop policies that will legalize refugees who are already seeking American residents. These groups dwell on the fact that immigrants are also human beings and that they are possibly looking to the Unites States in search for a safe haven. They also emphasize that Americans have a sense of obligation through their humanitarian philosophy, and so they cannot afford to lock them out, nor can they afford to send back illegal children who are looking for safer place to live. Debaters in this ethical dilemma both have genuine reasons why they support or oppose immigration. At the heart of immigration debate are the groups that oppose legal and illegal migration (Kourtsounis, 2014). ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The six principles of mission command are: build cohesive teams through mutual trust, create shared understanding, provide a clear commander s intent, exercise disciplined initiative, use mission orders, and accept prudent risk. Bragg s sub commanders, Generals Hindman, Buckner, Polk, Longstreet, and Hill were all skeptical of Bragg s leadership and battle plans from his previous campaign at Chattanooga where he retreated from the city. Bragg was well known for retreating at the first Battle of Chattanooga, and also for predictably employing frontal assault offensive tactics. His history of predictable plans, retreats, and inability to take prudent risk caused his subordinate leaders not lose trust in his ability to plan and lead his Army. • 30. The Problem Of Teen Depression Stigma Teen Depression Stigma It is proven that one in five teens experience depression. Depression is a condition where a person feels hopeless, not motivated, or not interested in life, lasting at least 2 weeks or longer. There is an urgency to start talking about dealing with this because suicide is the third leading cause of death in teens and fifteen percent of teens have actually considered suicide. According to Amy Sutton 55% of the population without depression don t consider it to be an actual disease. This stigma is making it close to impossible for teens to say they are going through depression. Some people say it is just a phase , kids cannot get depression , or people with depression are crazy . The contributing factors of rational thought, the stigma, judgement, and fear of treatment make dealing with the depression that much more difficult. In the last few years, studies have proven that at least one in five teens have had at least one depressive episode before going into college. The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) acknowledged, In 2000, around 3.5 million high school students have suicide ideation, two million have made specific suicide plans, and 1 million have made suicide attempts. . • 31. Russia and the Underlying Causes of Homophobia Russia and the Underlying Causes of Homophobia Although homophobia exists in nearly all societies, Russia has recently gained notoriety for its intolerance of homosexual behavior. In a world that is becoming more and more accepting and tolerant of homosexuality, Russia seems to be moving backward when it comes to LGBTQ rights. Understandably, Russia s tumultuous political past must be a strong contributor to today s attitudes towards homosexuality. Under the Tsars, homosexuality was a crime punishable by imprisonment or death, after Lenin came to power after the October Revolution, homosexuality was decriminalized and homosexuals were allowed to hold office in the newly formed Soviet Union. However, as anti gay laws were enacted by Stalin, homosexuals were seen as a danger to the state and sent to prisons and forgot about. After the glasnost, Yeltsin under pressure from the Council of Europe, legalized homosexuality in 1993. But under Putin, homosexuals have been under fire due to a series of anti gay propaganda laws and an increasingly homophobic Russia society. This is due to the increase of influence of the Russian Orthodox Church, the effect the media has on the populace as controlled by the hegemony, and the use of homosexuality as a scapegoat of Russia s problems. Although the use of religion as a weapon against LGBTQ people is not uncommon, it is one of the primary reasons for the current hostile attitudes towards homosexuals. How does the system work? The working principle of the fog cooling system can be summarized as this system utilizes very high pressure water about 1000 psi or 70 pars which occurred from a pump with high quality and delivery lines to create a very fine droplets size nearly 10 micron from specifically designed nozzles. Then, these fine droplets are quickly evaporated and absorbed the heat found in the air. In order to offer an excellent cooling; fog cooling systems use something called flash evaporation (Giacomelli, 2003). For better performance, cooling fans sometimes are added for the purpose of air circulation in closed areas, where the expected temperature will differ based on the climatic conditions, where cooling to 12°C is possible under the best circumstances (Yuwana et al., 2011). Evaporative Cooling Fog evaporative cooling system is similar to the conventional misting system in many aspects. But it works at a much higher pressure reached to (1000 2000 lb in 2; 7000 14000 kPa) and tiny nozzles with (1.2 gal hr 1; 4.5 L hr 1) volume. The tiny droplets can evaporate more quickly and efficiently, the evaporation rate is influenced also by the area of the surface, where the relation between them is proportionally. High quality filtration and water systems are necessary for reducing the clogging nozzles problem (Giacomelli, 2003). The evaporative cooling system is usually consisted of two lengths of fog nozzles (0.5 in; 1.3 cm) PVC pipe diameter. The nozzles may be made of high pressure, stainless steel and it could produce a water droplets or fog with 0.2 mm diameter at (1.3 ml s 1 ;1.2 gal hr 1) flow rate and (3450 kPa ;500 lb in 2) pressure. The effectiveness of cooling is defined as the ratio of the reduction of the immediate inner dry bulb air temperature to the depression of the inner wet bulb, before fogging, is determined and calculated to 50% 70%. thus, if the ...
