Coq10 Side Effects Of Ubiquinone
CoQ10 Side Effects Be on the Guard CoQ10 also referred to as ubiquinone is a naturally
produced enzyme inside the human body. This is found in each cell and tissue and is involved
in many biological functions such as the production of energy, neutralization of free radicals
and also keeping cells healthy. Young bodies are capable of producing ample amounts of
CoQ10, however, aging as well as stress tend to lower the levels of ubiquinone inside the body.
With its effects in the aging process, this is an enzyme which accurately marks the end of youth.
While it is known to have benefits, do you ever wonder if there are also CoQ10 side effects? Not
all CoQ10 side effects should be reported. It is best to consult a health care expert or a doctor

Essay on Montana Mountain Biking Case
The Montana Mountain Biking Case Montana Mountain Biking Company has been in business for
16 years providing guided mountain biking trips at four locations in Montana. The success of the
company is linked to retaining its customers. Eighty percent of the customers who sign up for the
one week guided mountain biking expedition are repeat customers (University Of Phoenix, 2007).
An important part of any marketingplan is to understand the customer relationship because
ultimately, all profits come from the customers. The challenges facing the Montana Mountain
Biking company is not only retaining customers but to attract new customers. The advances in e
marketing have given Montana Mountain Biking some alternatives to traditional marketing... Show

This person is in essence, a part of the marketing and sales team. The fifth and final stage is the
one that all businesses try to avoid, the separation stage (UOP, 2007). This happens when the
customer has filled their needs or when the company fails to provide continuous value to the
customer. The customer moves on to a new product or service.
The five Stages of MMB Customers
The success of the Montana Mountain Biking (MMB) Company is based on repeat business
from current customers (UOP, 2007). Increasing awareness and moving more customers into the
committed stage can only be achieved by understanding where the customers are today.
Awareness is the first of the five stages. One could estimate the size of the customers in the
awareness stage is relatively small in comparison to the market size. It could be estimated that
five percent of potential customers are aware of the business. This is based on the fact that
MMB logo is recognized in the mountain biking industry but the company is not actively
marking the company outside of operating a web site. The number of customer in the familiar
stage could be estimated to be between 5 and 10 %. This is base on the number of e mails
received by the company from customers requesting additional information about the services
provided by MMB. As mentioned earlier, 80% of all the customers are repeat customers (UOP,
2007). These customers would fall in the familiar or committed stage. The final stage is the

Eye Contact Is Big Business
Eye Contact is Big Business
The next time you go down to your neighborhood supermarket take a stroll down the cereal aisle
and you ll find something quite interesting.
You ll notice that the characters on some of our favorite cereal boxes that many of us have grown
up with such as Fred Flintstone s Fruity pebbles, Tony the Tiger (Kelloggs Frosted Flakes) and the
Trix Rabbit all have one thing in common. They re all looking straight at us.
You ll also find this common phenomenon with other popular products like Aunt Jemima s maple
syrup, Quaker oats and the Sun maid raisin girl. And there s a very good reason for this, which
may have more do with our subconscious craving for eye contact than with the actual taste of the
products themselves. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Whether it s with our kids, our co workers, our friends, or our lovers, we make eye contact and
we do it well. It s because our humanness has made us that way and we ve become experts at it.
We crave connection and we do it with our eyes.
However, the problem for many speakers begins as soon as they take the stage, and the great eye
contact that they were able to convey just minutes before getting up to the podium gets thrown out
the window along with the connection with their audience. For most, this happens because when
they take the stage their confidence suddenly shifts and they begin to lose their sense of self and
their personality isn t the same anymore.
A number of years ago, I had created a term for this phenomenon, and I called it Stage Personality
Disorder. This happens when your offstage personality doesn t match your on stage personality.
My creation of this term came from years of observing many speaker over the years. I would see
speakers whom had vibrant personalities while socializing during breakfast, luncheons, or during
the cocktail hour just minutes prior to taking the stage, and whom suddenly became stiff and
monotonous as soon as they uttered the first words of their

Summary Of Climate Change And Moral Judgement By Ezra...
After reading Ezra M. Markowitz Climate Change and moral Judgement I was able to look at the
issue of why most people don t understand why global warming is happening differently. I think the
mane point or question that the author Ezra M. Markowitz is trying to answer in his essay titled
Climate Change and moral Judgement is how some many people cant see the dangers of climate
changeeven though it is happening right in front of them. Ezra M. Markowitz makes this statement
at the beginning of his essay Converging evidence from the behavioral and brain sciences suggests
that the human moral judgement system is not well equipped to identify climatechange a complex,
large scale and unintentionally caused phenomenon as an important moral... Show more content on

Although climate change is the direct result of intentional, goal directed behavior some example
of the goal based behavior is driving everywhere when you could possibly walk to the place that
you are trying to go, another example of this kind of behavior is the amount energy that the
normal person use in order to live a modern life when they could simply cut back on this energy
usage and change up their life style but most people don t want to do that. After reading this essay
couple of question come to mind the first question that I would want to ask the author Ezra M.
Markowitz is how does he think we need to go about changing how people feel about climate
change/global warming? I think Ezra M. Markowitz would answer my question by saying that we
must teach people about what happens every time that they decide to do something that can be
harmful for the environment we have to come up with a way to educate people to make smarter
decision when it comes to climate change and there day to day activities. Another question that I
would want to Ezra M. Markowitz is does he ever see a time in the future where all humans see
climate change as a problem and decided that its time to fix it before it is to late? I think Ezra M.
Markowitz would answer this question by saying no I think humans are going to always deal with
these issue because they don t want to give up some of the things that they consider to allow them

Gender Socialization In Toy Store Toys R Us
Gender, as a social construct has constantly intrigued me, particularly since our culture, society and
who we are is formed by it. The thought that we can make something that runs our lives so
tremendously is fascinating. Gender is imbued within each one of us from the beginning of our
lives and is enforced in all most everything, from toys to clothes.
The process of learning the social desires and expectations as well as attitudes associated with one s
sex is called as Gender Socialization. Starting from an early age, girls and boys are advised on
how to act and behave to societal standards of gender roles and behaviors. Gender socialization
occurs in numerous consumer items and even behavior. One method of doing this is through
children toys, and the gender socialization that occurs between girls and boys in the toys that are
showcased to them. There is a remarkable difference between the two kinds of gender biased toys,
and certainly it shapes how girls and boys are in this social world. ... Show more content on

However, it was not until this century that nuclear age technology was developed that uses
measurements of radioactivity in certain types of rocks to give us ages in numbers of years.
These ages, usually called radiometric ages, are used in conjunction with relative dating principles
to determine at least an approximate age for most of the world s major rock formations (USGS).
Radiometric dating is the determination of age by using radioactivity, has become geology s best
tool for establishing absolute geologic time (Shipman, Todd, Wilson 704). The atomic nuclei that
decay of their own accord are said to be radioactive. The decay product or daughter nucleus, as it is
commonly called may be stable. If so, the transformation reaches completion in a single step.
However, the daughter nuclei of many naturally occurring isotopes are themselves radioactive and

Tourette Syndrome Analysis
Tourette Syndrome (TS) is a neurological disorder that involves uncontrollable, repetitive
movements and/or sounds. Tourette s is extremely common, having over 200,000 cases every
year in America alone. TS is usually found in children between ages six and eighteen and can last
a life time. Tourette s is a devastating disorder that can lead to other disorders if not treated
properly. Tourette s is usually associated with foul language, random aggression and harsh blinking.
Since Tourette s is usually found in children and teenagers, many people with TS experience
bullyingand isolation. Because of this, some type of therapy is encouraged. There are several
clinics and camps for children to help them cope with the disorder.

Simple vocal tics are sounds that do not form words. Examples of this are throat clearing, or
grunting. Complex vocal tics include shouting, cursing, and repeating words. Over time, these tics
are known to get more and more complex. Grunts turn into words, and words turn into phrases
(Gallant, 2013).
Associated Disorders
Tourette Syndrome is usually paired with a number of other medical disorders. Many people
diagnosed with TS also suffer from Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and
Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD). Features of Tourette s include problems with attention,
behavior, sleeping and learning. Sometimes it is hard for a person with Tourette s to focus on what
is going on around them because they are more focused with their tic. Tourette s forces unwanted
attention that a person may not know how or want to deal with. Both of these features can cause
problems in school and a work environment (Gallant, 2013).
Camps and Clinics
Tourette Syndrome Association is a voluntary, nonprofit organization. It was founded for the
purpose of assisting individuals with TS. The association raises funds to encourage and support
scientific research about the disorder. The association promotes understanding of Tourette s and
publicizes the disorder in newspapers, magazines, radio and television (Dornbush,

My favorite influential female figure is Jane Austen. Jane Austin is one my favorite authors that

books, the female character are strong and smart and have a mind of their own. Jane Austin books
were written 1811 to 1818, where women had no voice in society and only were accepted only to

were married to the person that has more money and not for love. Her books show how the main
female characters don t look at marriage this way (money) but focus on finding a person who

Drone Warfare Argumentative Analysis
When discussing the potentiality of robot weapons it is imperative to critically assess the use of
drone warfare as its natural predecessor. According to a 2013 Gallup Poll, 65% support drone
attacks on terrorist abroad , in the United States. Drone warfare is attractive because it claims to
keep soldiers safe from on the ground dangers. However, drone pilots, on average, have much
higher levels of PTSD than their counterparts in the field. Which is one of the main arguments as
to why robot weapons should be implemented in their place. Of course, in 2015, The Intercept
published The Drone Papers, which posited that only 35 of 219 people killed in drone strikes
perpetuated by the US were the intended targets. There is absolutely no guarantee that automated
drones would be more accurate in its killing, precisely because the identification of the target has
become increasingly difficult. In Pakistan, where the United State s drone presence is largest, there
are no uniforms and so the line between civilian and combatants has become almost impossible to

Although more themes may be able to be studied deeper in Roth s works, the expression of
Judaism through his characters is the most prominent theme demonstrated in his stories: For so
much of the commentary on his fiction has continued to be preoccupied with determining the
nature and extent of his relationship to Jewish American religious and literary traditions...
(Rogers). His writing about the Jewish faith is clear and the main theme that he wishes to express
in all his writings, but it is apparent he has placed his faith in Realism, not Judaism (Rogers). In
Defender of the Faith, Sergeant Marx expresses Roth s views of the religion through his unbiased
and clear cut views. Although they are not religious men, they stand up when the time comes to
protect their religion and beliefs of their morals: ...and a real defender of faith in moral and

explores the sometimes anguished quest for Jewish Identity in ways that anticipate and may have
helped to shape the psychological concerns and narrator strategies of Roth s Defender of the Faith

Piaget And Piaget Similarities
The human brain has always been a subject of great interest to psychologists and researches. Over
the years, many theorists have developed different models and approaches on how the mind works
and what happens behind the scene when learning occurs. Scientifically speaking, learning theorists
have been concerned about areas of psychologyof learning which emphasizes human cognition or
intelligenceas a special endowment enabling man to form hypotheses and develop intellectually in
other words cognitivism which is also known as cognitive development
(Teachinglearningresources.pbworks.com, 2011). Therefore, cognitive development is concerned
about how learning, problem solving and memory works along with how cultural differences affect
the way we view our own academic achievements, language development, and much more
(Feldman, 2010). Two famous influential theorists of cognitivism are Jean Piaget(1896 1980) and

Copland was one of the most well known American composers of the 20th century if not the most

Juvenile Delinquents
Negative effects of juvenile delinquency and juvenile incarceration, includes mental health, social
relationships, and education of the individual, which impacts on families, school, and wider
community (Lambie Randell, 2013). These factors can have damaging effects that contribute to
recidivism and other unfavourable outcomes. Development/Learning There is New Zealand
evidence which show that juvenile delinquents are a vulnerable population that are likely to
experience long term maladaptive outcomes, for instance, poor self regulation and self control
(Sutherland, 2011). Research shows that having the ability to delay gratification and to regulate
emotions are linked to positive developmental success (Sutherland, 2011). This includes children s
learning and education. Young delinquents are likely to experience academic failure, have low
intelligence, lack student interest, and have behavioural problems (Macfarlane, 2004, cited in
Sutherland, 2011). Lambie and Randell (2013) explains that incarceration impairs positive

Reach The Bag Game Analysis
My group has decided to create a low organization game. This game is called Reach the Bag . In
this game there will be 4 teams and 2 teams will be playing on the court at once. The gym will be
divided in half and both teams will have their own side. Both teams will have flags around their
waist. At the back of each side there will be 4 bean bags that will be spread out in a designated
spot which will be shown by a few pylons. This area will be called the Safety Zone . These bean
bags are the objects that the opposite team is trying to get to the middle. In order to get these
bean bags, a teammate has to run to the opposite side without getting their flag ripped off. If your
flag is ripped off, the player must get their flag and go back to

1984 Commentary
The second half of 1984 was good but not what I imagined. Winston meets Julia, a girl that he
works with. He thinks she work for ВЁbig brotherВЁ but when they get to know each other they
both dislike big brother. They start to do illegal things and disobey big brother without telling
anyone. Another one of their co workers named O brien invites them over. He tells them that he is
against big brother and Winston and Julia tells him that they are too. Later that night the police
come and take Winston and Julia away, O brien lied to Winston and Julia and is actually part of
big brother. They get tortured until they become under full control of big brother. Once they are
under big brothers control they are put back into the world to do nothing. I thought the end would
be more exciting, I thought Winston and Julia would actually put up a fight against big brother. The
big word I chose for the second half of 1984 is innumerable. I believe that innumerable means thin
or weak. The context clues that led me to believe that are ВЁThey were standing in the shade of
hazel bushes. The sunlight, filtering through the innumerable leaves, was still hot on their faces.ВЁ

I chose this because in the second half of this book Winston truly changes as a character. He
starts out not trusting anyone or anything afraid of big brother. Then he meets a girl that works
at the same place as Winston, her name Julia. Winston and Julia start to disobey big brother by
doing illegal things. A co worker of Julia and Winston named O Brien is working for big brother.

they are released back into the world. Winston is not normal anymore, he went from being afraid

Room Vision Board Analysis
I have come up with quite a few money saving options to transform your nursery, playroom, child
s bedroom or ever you teenagers lair into a wonderful, custom space that they ll never want to
leave! To get started you must know what your budget is; with some of these tips no budget it
too small. Next, have a feel for what your child likes or what kind of space you want to create ;
have an idea going into it. If you don t, then start digging for new fresh ideas. Pick a theme if you
want. Themes can be anything, a print( Chevron, paisley, Moroccan) , one or more of your
favorite colors, a Disney character, the sea, dinosaurs, construction... The ideas are endless. You
just have to choose something that fits your child s likes needs! I recommend starting a room
vision board; your child can help! Go through old magazines, paint swatches, images on the
internet looking for things they like. Cut them out or print out the images glue them done on a
paper This could be anything a specific color , storage ideas, a theme, a pattern... anything that
stands out to the person whom the room is for. Then, cut them out or print out the images glue
them down on a paper or pin it to a board. This creation of a visual idea collage will become the
blueprint that the room is based on. Once this is done decide what things to can repurpose or
make yourself. Even if it s a few things, making it yourself from the heart is ALWAYS better than
buying. If you do need to buys some item always shop around! If you find something you like
somewhere, there s usually a good chance that... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Clean out the room, declutter, look at the room for what it could be, not what it was and to do

The Causes And Consequences Of The Media
Catalonia was an interesting news story to cover, particularly because of its European
implications. The Guardian newspaper, Sky News channel and Aljazeera.com are three distinct
platforms I selected to monitor. This is mainly because of their reputation and political
dissimilarities. These UK based media platforms were expected, in such a case of Catalonia, to
report this story in depth. My analysis of the coverage will follow the chronological order of these
platforms, which is the same historical appearance of newspapers, television and Internet. This may
also facilitate how we understand the strengths and weaknesses of each medium in covering this
Spanish crisis. The Guardian is centre left and favoured among Labour Party... Show more content

Even the space for his speech was very short (4th October). On the other hand, the Guardian
included a picture of a pro Spain rally in Barcelona and quoted from Spanish leaders. Bias, if it
was so, can be also seen in attributing ordinary Catalan people, which were divided over
independence. Even when the correspondents quoted what a pro Spain thinks in page 4 (2nd
October), it was a woman that changed her position to support the independence because she
was pulled out by the police. Sky News , which is described as a pro conservative according to
the media blog (2010), treated the event quite differently. For instance, the report in Sky News at
10 (2nd October) included a sound bite of a pro Spain Catalan to balance the news story. This may
reflect impartiality in this outlet coverage, but it is not easy to say so. In this report and others, the
correspondents insisted on the division of Catalans, which The Guardian ignored in the
background. The report reminded the viewers that although the Catalan authorities declared that
90% of voters supported the independence, only 40% voted in that referendum. This statement of
an interesting fact can communicate the story clearly to the audience. The focus of reports was on
protests and police violence; however, the Correspondent s report from Barcelona in Sky News at

Vocational Education’s Image for the 21st Century Essay
Vocational Education s Image for the 21st Century
These are hard times for secondary vocational education. Leaders of the new school reform
movement do not give it high priority. They assume that it is separate from general education, has
little educational value, and should be replaced by a predominantly academic curriculum. At best
vocational courses are expected to provide students who are not college bound with minimal
training for low status jobs at entry level (Silberman 1986). Ask a vocational educator to name the
most serious issues facing the field today, and most will rank our image problem high on the list (
What Do People Think of Us? 1997, p. 14)
The image problem has been pervasive over the past 10 years as ... Show more content on

The reasons varied, but the one most often cited was public image: negative baggage associated
with the word vocational (Ries 1997).
This ERIC Digest gives a brief overview of strategic marketing and how it can build a stronger
image for vocational education.
Let s Get Serious about Image Building
In recent years, industries such as health care, finance, and law have been aggressively marketing
their services. This departure from tradition is a response to sweeping changes in technology,
demographics, and new customer demands. Vocational education, like other service industries,
must respond to such change. Vocational education has much to gain from capitalizing on the
benefits of a comprehensive marketing approach. For a number of years, marketing professionals
have urged vocational educators to get serious about image building. Some of their more pertinent
advice follows.
Shields (1989) feels that vocational education can weather the assaults on its contributions to school
by aggressively marketing itself. He offers these steps for marketing vocational education:
1. Identify internal (teachers, counselors, students, school board members) and external (parents,
taxpayers, civic groups, and professional organizations) markets you want to sell on vocational
education.
2. Build your network and tap into it. Assign each staff person

Lean Manufacturing Is Not Just A Production Method
Introduction
Lean manufacturing is not just a production method. It is a way of life. One could say that it is
simply a way of providing customers what they want, at a price they can afford, when they want it
(Leaning Forward). However, it is much more than just satisfying the customer s needs.
Lean manufacturing originated after WWII in Japan to help revitalize their manufacturing industry.
The industry was booming in the United States because of the revolutionary invention of Henry
Ford s Model T and the creation of the flow production, but the lack of variety created demand and
Toyota answered that demand (Lean).
Kiichiro Toyoda and his team at Toyota realized by modifying the system they could make the

Pull Flow is the concept of a continuous flow of production and enables operators to identify and
pull defective products from the production line. Kaizen is the approach used by employees to
implement continuous improvements to a manufacturing process (Gembutsu).
Muda is the concept of wasting resources to create something with no value. The types of wasted
include over production time, inventory, transportation, process inefficiency, defects, and
unnecessary motion (Vorne Industries).
Jidoka is the process of identifying a defect before getting to the finished product and is
accomplished by automation. It is carried out by the automation knowing what a product defect is
and alerting an operator (Gembutsu).
Takt is the method used to align the customers demand with the production and is paced by using

Essay about Courtly Love as an Ennobler in Romantic...
Lancelot, the knight of the cart, is in love with Queen Guinevere, who constantly compromises his
reputation by embarrassing him . Chretien de Troyes writes Lancelot in The Knight of the Cart to
be deeply in love, so much so that he constantly sacrifices his reputation for the queen. Classically,
the romantic hero developed from an extravagant to an ideal character (Williams 275) in typical
Romance literature. Although Romance literature has many variations, Lancelot portrays this
transition from the extravagant, noble, knight to an ideal character in the tale. Lancelot depicts
what is ideal for what a woman would want, and this in turn does ennoble him. Lancelot is ennobled
by courtly love, but unintentionally. By placing himself above... Show more content on

He endures the pain without hurting his reputation because no one knows him, which leads to
means in which he ennobles himself. This is set off by his suicidal thoughts, prompting a young
girl to mistake this action as one of embarrassment for his reputation. Won t the news of his
disgrace in the cart be known to all? He certainly should want to be killed, for he s better off dead
than living. Henceforth his life is shamed, scorned, and wretched (de Troyes214). The girl then
feels bad because she mocked him, and gives him horses and equipment with extra care to go
find the queen. Lancelot was never worried about the embarrassment, but rather his love. The
embarrassment, however, led him to both information and equipment to go after her. When he is
offered more information, it s love that makes him strong and bold and he literally offers to do
anything (de Troyes 215). Without the girl s compassion he wouldn t have had the armor or
information to save the queen, which would have made him devastated and humiliated without
any chance at redemption. His cart incident is repealed by his ability to save the queen. Lancelot
also reinforces his ability to overcome the petty gossip that emerges from his time in the cart. He
sees no reason for it to bother him, because he knows why he jumped in, and he doesn t refrain
from expressing this. To spare a man he defeated in battle, he forces the man

Conflict In Frankenstein
The line I will be with you on your wedding night (Shelly 315) is one the most significant lines in
Frankenstein, and has captivated many people of multiple generations. The book Frankenstein by
Mary Shelley takes place in the then present late 1700 s to early 1800 s, and is about the struggle
between man and his creation. The book gives insight on two characters Victor and his creation.
Throughout the story they often suffer alone from society, and criticize each other for it. In the
end after a series of events, Victor tries to avenge his loved one s murders by his creation, but dies
of exhaustion. The creature comes to mourn to accept that he ll die alone too, even though Victor

The creature tried to introduce himself to the family he had spied on by approaching the blind
man first. Author Telgen Diane goes into depth of the situation by pronouncing One day when
only the old man is in the cottage, the monster enters, introducing himself as a weary traveler. He
discovers that because the old man is blind, he is not repulsed by him. The monster then tells his
tale of misery and loneliness; the old man responds sympathetically. When the others return,
horrified at his monstrous appearance, they chase him. From seclusion in the forest, the next night
he emerges to burn down the cottage. He then flees toward Ingolstadt, determined on vengeance
(Telgen 183). The point is that the creature suffers externally when the people around him are
prejudice to him meaning that they do not understand the creature and fear him, so they revolt
back with either fear or violence. Even when the creature had been heroic at times, society still
revolts due to his monstrous appearance. Harold Bloom references this when explaining While
enjoying these feelings of restoration, he came across a young girl who slipped and fell into a
rapid stream, and succeeded in saving her life. But, alas her guardian, terrified to see her with a
hideous creature, shot and wounded the monster. This was then the reward of my benevolence!
(Bloom 49). He suffers this fate whenever he is seen by any human in Frankenstein. This
xenophobia of society will drive the creature into a vengeful blood lust killing all of Victor s
loved ones. Therefore, the ridicule of society is the cause of Victor and his creature s external

Sexism Research Paper
Sexism Exists
We no longer live in the Mad Men era, but the modern workplace is still responsible for some of the
Mad Men style sexism. Women often times have trouble getting hired for important jobs, obtaining
high level positions, and they commonly face greater harassment threats in the office.
Despite big gains, women only make up slightly more than ten percent of big company chief
financial officers. More than one third of public companies had zero women senior officers,
according to a recent survey from Catalyst, an organization aimed at expanding business
opportunities for women. According to a recent study from the Institute for Women s Policy
Research, a woman gets paid seventy seven cents to every dollar a man makes. That s a
difference of more than $10,000 per year on average. Among recent college graduates, women
make eighty two percent of what men make. In their first year of work after graduation college,
men make $7,6000 more than women on average, this is according to a fact sheet from Congress
joint economic committee. The trend continues even after women began to rise up the corporate

Here are the reasons why I am a part of the 16% of people who do not believe sexism is still an
issue today. Men are statistically more likely to take jobs that women won t. In March of 2016,
80,543 men, six teen years and over were employed. In March of 2016, only 70,777 women, six
teen years and over were employed. This is not because of sexist reasoning, this is because of
women not wanting to do the hard work that a man is willing to do daily. So whenever I am
asked if I think this drastic employment rate is sexism, I will firmly say no. I believe that the
employment rate difference has to do with the fact that many women refuse to work jobs that are
physically more challenging or that require long

Examples Of Reconciliation In Australia
The Freedom Ride and Tent Embassy are both extremely significant events and had long lasting
impacts on reconciliation and the plight of the indigenous. Reconciliation in Australia is the
movement aimed at building unity between Indigenous and non Indigenous Australians. The Tent
Embassy was established on the 26th of January 1972, positioned across from what was then
Parliament House, in Canberra, where Indigenous activists protested for equality and land rights.
For similar reasons, was the Australian Freedom Ride (1965) inspired by the American Civil
Rights movements when a group of students from the University of Sydney travelled around
Western NSW in a bus also aimed to raise awareness and encourage resistance against discrimination
and poor standards of living conditions of Indigenous Australians.
Both examples of political activism through the Tent Embassy and Freedom Ride was significant

Walmart Audit Fees
The audit fees for these three companies can be compared in numerous ways. First, they can be
compared by their size by looking at the total revenue and total assets. From the revenue standpoint,
Walmart had the largest amount of total revenue but paid the median amount of audit fees. On the
other hand, Microsoft had the least amount of total revenue but paid the highest amount in audit
fees. Also, Apple Inc. had the median amount of revenue but paid the least amount in audit fees.
When looking at the total assets, there is an inverse relationship between the amount of assets and
the audit fees paid. Apple Inc. had the largest amount of total assets but paid the least amount in

Hawaii Creole English By Hawaii Pidgin
Hawaii creole english, or in other words pidgin, is based on the english language, but also
containing words from many other languages. Some of those languages include Hawaiian,
Japanese, Portuguese, and more. Hawaii pidgin english is widely used in everyday conversations,
television shows, and advertisements. Hawaiicreole english was created many years ago, but is
used by a large number of people on the Hawaiian islands, as well as on the mainland. Hawai i
creole english was first established around the 1800 s, when Hawaii started recruiting laborers
from all over the globe to work on the sugar plantations. The laborers consisted of people from
China, Portugal, Japan, Korea, Puerto Rico, Russia, Spain, the Philippines, and other countries
(Hargrove, Sakota, and Siegel 1). Since there were such a diverse group of people, they all spoke
different languages. Which made it hard for them to communicate. Thus, Hawai i creole english
was soon developed and became the primary source of communication among all the different
ethnic groups (Thompson 1). During the plantations, the children born during that time period were
starting to attend school. That is when many of them first came into contact with standard english,
since majority of them already spoke hawaii pidgin(Scanlan 1). Ever since the plantations, more
than half of Hawaiis population today speak pidgin. Majority of the Hawaii pidgin comes from the
english language, but are also contained from other languages.

Edgar Allan Poe Symbolizing Baltimore
symbolizing Baltimore. It can be seen as both nostalgic and simplistic. I have heard people say that
Natty Boh was hipster beer before the actual 20th century hipster existed. For those who are literary
experts or philosophical poets, nothing hits hard on symbolism then the man who defined the
mascot for the Baltimore Ravens. Baltimore has some of the countries most intellectual literary
geniuses. Edgar Allan Poe, the man of romanticized gore and darkness, spent majority of his career
in Baltimore until his death. The theater is also a part of Baltimore, The Baltimore Senator Theater.
There is also an extended amount of museums; Visionary Art Museum, Museum of Art, Walters Art
Gallery, African American Wax Museum. In the summer, Baltimore host the largest art festival,
called Artscape, and guess what? Its Free!!... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The separation of east side , west side and the hidden notion of Unjust treatment toward residents
seems to never be mentioned when talking about what it means to be from Baltimore. Within
each one of these microcosms you will find impoverished people. You will find disenfranchised
people. You will find the new ghetto filled with individuals that have been politicized into a
system they will never be able to get out of. The local policies makers, and government officials
play a key part in this oppression of minorities.
The New York Times had an editorial section called How Racism Doomed Baltimore the article
hit hard on how, the riots threw spotlight on the poverty and isolation of the African American
community (The Editorial Board). Over a period of time, we have seen how Baltimore is racially
segregated, placing African Americans in deeply poor (The Editorial Board) communities that
show a long dark road for boys of color. Studies have shown that those who have been living in the
city for the past decade or so when they

Fear of Polio in the 1950s Essay examples
Fear of Polio in the 1950s Paralytic poliomyelitis, polio , held a reign of terror over this nation
for decades. But unless you were born before 1955, polio may seem to be just another ephemeral
disease that has been nonexistent for years. Those born before 1955 remember having a great
fear of this horrible disease which crippled thousands of once active, healthy children. This
disease had no cure and no identified causes, which made it all the more terrifying. People did
everything that they had done in the past to prevent the spread of disease, such as quarantining
areas, but these tactics never seemed to work. Polio could not be contained. Many people did not
have the money to care for a family member with polio. This was one of the... Show more content

In an attempt to control the disease, bewildered health officials reinstituted the usual rules of
sanitation which they would later learn had worsened the threat of polio. They advised against
open drains and unscreened windows. Parents were instructed to keep their children well
bathed, well rested, well fed, and away from crowds. Bathing suits were locked away in closets,
and nobody went to the public pools. When polio struck, movie theaters were shut, camps and
schools were closed, drinking fountains were abandoned, draft inductions suspended, and
nonessential meetings were canceled until the epidemic appeared to be over for the time
being.[1] These precautions were harmless, but not particularly helpful. In the past, these
precautions proved very effective in stopping the spread of diseases such as influenza and
plague. For three decades now, people still did not know why they were getting their disease.
And for three decades now, doctors, epidemiologists, and laboratory researchers were trying to
figure out how the disease was spread.[2] Nobody has ever discovered completely how it is that
polio is spread. The best evidence suggests that the virus is excreted in the stool and passed
through hand to hand or hand to mouth contact by people who do not wash their hands properly or
often enough. It was during the first few years of the fifties and many years before then, that health
department officials

Age Of The Enlightenment
At the start of the eighteenth century intellectual leaders attempted to understand why what had
been done in natural science could not be done in social science. The Enlightenment has been
defined in many different ways, but its broadest was a philosophical, intellectual and cultural
movement of the eighteenth century. The leaders wanted logic to be included in a worldwide since
such as used in history, politics, jurisprudence, and economics. The Enlightenment preferred to see
humanity as capable of creating its own moral code in order to help create a rational mind. The
Enlightenment also pioneered in applying scientific methods to the study of human society,
sketching the modern social sciences. The basic ideals were the rational laws could... Show more

The way the world works now is all based off the Enlightenment. By furthering development in the
arts, philosophy, religion, and politics the Enlightenment has furthered our research and ideals. It
produced a set of basic principles about human affairs. Humans beings are naturally good and can be
educated to be better, (The Age Of The Enlightenment). Enlightenment thinkers attacked the
Catholic church with particular vigor. Progress was possible, even inevitable, if people could be set
free. Society s goals should center on improvements in material and social life. In culture, the
aftermath of the scientific revolution spilled over into a new movement known as the
Enlightenment, centered particularly in France but with adherents throughout the Western world.
Enlightenment thinkers continued to support scientific advance. While there were no Newton like
breakthroughs, chemists gained new understanding of major elements and biologists developed a
vital new classification system for the natural species (The Enlightenment P.1). Enlightenment
thinkers showed great interest in technological change, for greater prosperity was a valid and
achievable goal. Coercion and cruelty could be corrected, for the Enlightenment encouraged a
humanitarian outlook that was applied in condemnations of slavery and war. The Enlightenment,
summing up and extending earlier intellectual changes, became an important force for political and
social reform. It did not rule unchallenged. Important popular religious movements, such as
Methodism in England, showed the continued power of spiritual faith. Many writers, particularly
those experimenting with the novel as a new literary form in the West, rebelled against
Enlightenment rationality to urge the importance of sentimentality and emotion. These approaches,

Defining Virtue In Plato s Meno
Plato s dialogue, titled Meno , began with Meno proposing a question to Socrates on whether
virtue is teachable, can be developed by practice, or something one is born with. Socrates, who is
somewhat humored by the question, wants to first know what the nature of virtue truly is. Meno
offers Socrates multiple examples of virtues based of roles, including the virtueof a man, a woman,
a child, an elder, and a slave. The virtue of a man would be to manage his public affairs, and
bring good on to himself and his friends and harm to his enemies. The virtue of a woman is to
manage the household and to be submissive to her husband (Meno, pg. 60 61). He goes on to say
that there are many other ways of defining virtue that is specific to the actions,

Strive For Progression
Strive for progress, not perfection is one of my favorite inspiring quotes because sometimes we
get so caught up in an unachievable goal because of how society perceives perfection. Toned abs,
strong arms, or overall strength doesn t come overnight (took me looking in the mirror every
morning to figure that one out). Countless times I have fallen into a trap of setting high
expectations to achieve a certain look. I finally learned that good things come in time, and
working hard is most important in order to see progress. This can be related to the fitness world,
education, or life. I ve learned to balance a healthlifestyle, and everything else going on around me
(I d like to think). No one should try and be perfect, we all have different

Salado Indian Animals
When you and I see a bunny or some cute animal we don t think about how it could be useful to
us, we only think about how cute it is when the Salado Indian tribes saw a cute animal they
thought about how it could benefit them. That they could eat the meat and where the fur they did
not have the luxury that we do today, we can go to the store and pick up a blanket or a cute shirt
along with some food we don t have to worry about what is gonna happen if we don t catch that
animal. Have you ever wondered how clothing was made? Well, the Salado Indians had to use a
loom helping make some of their clothing, first they would have to make their one thread out of
cotton and banana yucca plants then they would weave it into an article of clothing.... Show more

Also how they used plants to dye their clothing so it had color. and how they used deer, rabbits,
and quail for their capes and winter clothing. When using the animal hides it would conceal the
heat. The men and women wore different things, like how the men wore a breechcloth around
their waist and then women wore shirts and shorts. Just like us they had special occasions that
meant they had to dress up a little more than usual. In conclusion, they did amazing things with
the material they had and the used their imagination. I highly doubt that you or I would have
thought about using aged urine to color our clothing. Granted, we have so much we would not
need to use it, but it is still a wonderful thing to live in the land they could look at something and
see potential and we lost that I think along the way. They way they lived on and used the land is
something we don t do theses days, and that is ok, we should just know that we have a lot that we

The five Stages of MMB Customers The success of the Montana Mountain Biking (MMB) Company is based on repeat business from current customers (UOP, 2007). Increasing awareness and moving more customers into the committed stage can only be achieved by understanding where the customers are today. Awareness is the first of the five stages. One could estimate the size of the customers in the awareness stage is relatively small in comparison to the market size. It could be estimated that five percent of potential customers are aware of the business. This is based on the fact that MMB logo is recognized in the mountain biking industry but the company is not actively marking the company outside of operating a web site. The number of customer in the familiar stage could be estimated to be between 5 and 10 %. This is base on the number of e mails received by the company from customers requesting additional information about the services provided by MMB. As mentioned earlier, 80% of all the customers are repeat customers (UOP, 2007). These customers would fall in the familiar or committed stage. The final stage is the separation ... It s because our humanness has made us that way and we ve become experts at it. We crave connection and we do it with our eyes. However, the problem for many speakers begins as soon as they take the stage, and the great eye contact that they were able to convey just minutes before getting up to the podium gets thrown out the window along with the connection with their audience. For most, this happens because when they take the stage their confidence suddenly shifts and they begin to lose their sense of self and their personality isn t the same anymore. A number of years ago, I had created a term for this phenomenon, and I called it Stage Personality Disorder. This happens when your offstage personality doesn t match your on stage personality. After reading this essay couple of question come to mind the first question that I would want to ask the author Ezra M. It was believed that the female mind was inadequately equipped, compared to that of a males, and it was frowned upon for a womanto show that she might be more intelligent than any male. According to Williams and Echols, women physicians were often charged as witches by male physicians or tangled up in legal issues because they competed with the males. Juvenile Delinquents Negative effects of juvenile delinquency and juvenile incarceration, includes mental health, social relationships, and education of the individual, which impacts on families, school, and wider community (Lambie Randell, 2013). These factors can have damaging effects that contribute to recidivism and other unfavourable outcomes. Development/Learning There is New Zealand evidence which show that juvenile delinquents are a vulnerable population that are likely to experience long term maladaptive outcomes, for instance, poor self regulation and self control (Sutherland, 2011). Research shows that having the ability to delay gratification and to regulate emotions are linked to positive developmental success (Sutherland, 2011). This includes children s learning and education. Young delinquents are likely to experience academic failure, have low intelligence, lack student interest, and have behavioural problems (Macfarlane, 2004, cited in Sutherland, 2011). Later that night the police come and take Winston and Julia away, O brien lied to Winston and Julia and is actually part of big brother. They get tortured until they become under full control of big brother. Once they are under big brothers control they are put back into the world to do nothing. Room Vision Board Analysis I have come up with quite a few money saving options to transform your nursery, playroom, child s bedroom or ever you teenagers lair into a wonderful, custom space that they ll never want to leave! To get started you must know what your budget is; with some of these tips no budget it too small. Next, have a feel for what your child likes or what kind of space you want to create ; have an idea going into it. If you don t, then start digging for new fresh ideas. Pick a theme if you want. Themes can be anything, a print( Chevron, paisley, Moroccan) , one or more of your favorite colors, a Disney character, the sea, dinosaurs, construction... The ideas are endless. You just have to choose something that fits your child s likes needs! I recommend starting a room vision board; your child can help! Go through old magazines, paint swatches, images on the internet looking for things they like. Cut them out or print out the images glue them done on a paper This could be anything a specific color , storage ideas, a theme, a pattern... anything that stands out to the person whom the room is for. Then, cut them out or print out the images glue them down on a paper or pin it to a board. This creation of a visual idea collage will become the blueprint that the room is based on. Once this is done decide what things to can repurpose or make yourself. Even if it s a few things, making it yourself from the heart is ALWAYS better than buying. Even when the correspondents quoted what a pro Spain thinks in page 4 (2nd October), it was a woman that changed her position to support the independence because she was pulled out by the police. Sky News , which is described as a pro conservative according to the media blog (2010), treated the event quite differently. For instance, the report in Sky News at 10 (2nd October) included a sound bite of a pro Spain Catalan to balance the news story. This may reflect impartiality in this outlet coverage, but it is not easy to say so. Leaders of the new school reform movement do not give it high priority. They assume that it is separate from general education, has little educational value, and should be replaced by a predominantly academic curriculum. At best vocational courses are expected to provide students who are not college bound with minimal training for low status jobs at entry level (Silberman 1986). This departure from tradition is a response to sweeping changes in technology, demographics, and new customer demands. For a number of years, marketing professionals have urged vocational educators to get serious about image building. Some of their more pertinent advice follows. One could say that it is simply a way of providing customers what they want, at a price they can afford, when they want it (Leaning Forward). However, it is much more than just satisfying the customer s needs. Lean manufacturing originated after WWII in Japan to help revitalize their manufacturing industry. The industry was booming in the United States because of the revolutionary invention of Henry Ford s Model T and the creation of the flow production, but the lack of variety created demand and Toyota answered that demand (Lean). Chretien de Troyes writes Lancelot in The Knight of the Cart to be deeply in love, so much so that he constantly sacrifices his reputation for the queen. Classically, the romantic hero developed from an extravagant to an ideal character (Williams 275) in typical Romance literature. Although Romance literature has many variations, Lancelot portrays this transition from the extravagant, noble, knight to an ideal character in the tale. He certainly should want to be killed, for he s better off dead than living. Henceforth his life is shamed, scorned, and wretched (de Troyes214). The girl then feels bad because she mocked him, and gives him horses and equipment with extra care to go find the queen. Lancelot was never worried about the embarrassment, but rather his love. The embarrassment, however, led him to both information and equipment to go after her. When he is offered more information, it s love that makes him strong and bold and he literally offers to do anything (de Troyes 215). Without the girl s compassion he wouldn t have had the armor or information to save the queen, which would have made him devastated and humiliated without any chance at redemption. His cart incident is repealed by his ability to save the queen. Lancelot also reinforces his ability to overcome the petty gossip that emerges from his time in the cart. The creature tried to introduce himself to the family he had spied on by approaching the blind man first. Author Telgen Diane goes into depth of the situation by pronouncing One day when only the old man is in the cottage, the monster enters, introducing himself as a weary traveler. He discovers that because the old man is blind, he is not repulsed by him. The monster then tells his tale of misery and loneliness; the old man responds sympathetically. When the others return, horrified at his monstrous appearance, they chase him. From seclusion in the forest, the next night he emerges to burn down the cottage. He then flees toward Ingolstadt, determined on vengeance (Telgen 183). The point is that the creature suffers externally when the people around him are prejudice to him meaning that they do not understand the creature and fear him, so they revolt back with either fear or violence. Even when the creature had been heroic at times, society still revolts due to his monstrous appearance. Harold Bloom references this when explaining While enjoying these feelings of restoration, he came across a young girl who slipped and fell into a rapid stream, and succeeded in saving her life. But, alas her guardian, terrified to see her with a hideous creature, shot and wounded the monster. This was then the reward of my benevolence! (Bloom 49). I have heard people say that Natty Boh was hipster beer before the actual 20th century hipster existed. For those who are literary experts or philosophical poets, nothing hits hard on symbolism then the man who defined the mascot for the Baltimore Ravens. Baltimore has some of the countries most intellectual literary geniuses. Edgar Allan Poe, the man of romanticized gore and darkness, spent majority of his career in Baltimore until his death. The local policies makers, and government officials play a key part in this oppression of minorities. • 43. Fear of Polio in the 1950s Essay examples Fear of Polio in the 1950s Paralytic poliomyelitis, polio , held a reign of terror over this nation for decades. But unless you were born before 1955, polio may seem to be just another ephemeral disease that has been nonexistent for years. Those born before 1955 remember having a great fear of this horrible disease which crippled thousands of once active, healthy children. This disease had no cure and no identified causes, which made it all the more terrifying. People did everything that they had done in the past to prevent the spread of disease, such as quarantining areas, but these tactics never seemed to work. Polio could not be contained. Many people did not have the money to care for a family member with polio. This was one of the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In an attempt to control the disease, bewildered health officials reinstituted the usual rules of sanitation which they would later learn had worsened the threat of polio. They advised against open drains and unscreened windows. Parents were instructed to keep their children well bathed, well rested, well fed, and away from crowds. Bathing suits were locked away in closets, and nobody went to the public pools. When polio struck, movie theaters were shut, camps and schools were closed, drinking fountains were abandoned, draft inductions suspended, and nonessential meetings were canceled until the epidemic appeared to be over for the time being.[1] These precautions were harmless, but not particularly helpful. In the past, these precautions proved very effective in stopping the spread of diseases such as influenza and plague. For three decades now, people still did not know why they were getting their disease. And for three decades now, doctors, epidemiologists, and laboratory researchers were trying to figure out how the disease was spread.[2] Nobody has ever discovered completely how it is that polio is spread. The best evidence suggests that the virus is excreted in the stool and passed through hand to hand or hand to mouth contact by people who do not wash their hands properly or often enough. It was during the first few years of the fifties and many years before then, that health department officials ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 44. Age Of The Enlightenment At the start of the eighteenth century intellectual leaders attempted to understand why what had been done in natural science could not be done in social science. The Enlightenment has been defined in many different ways, but its broadest was a philosophical, intellectual and cultural movement of the eighteenth century. The leaders wanted logic to be included in a worldwide since such as used in history, politics, jurisprudence, and economics. The Enlightenment preferred to see humanity as capable of creating its own moral code in order to help create a rational mind. The Enlightenment also pioneered in applying scientific methods to the study of human society, sketching the modern social sciences. The basic ideals were the rational laws could... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The way the world works now is all based off the Enlightenment. By furthering development in the arts, philosophy, religion, and politics the Enlightenment has furthered our research and ideals. It produced a set of basic principles about human affairs. Humans beings are naturally good and can be educated to be better, (The Age Of The Enlightenment). Enlightenment thinkers attacked the Catholic church with particular vigor. Progress was possible, even inevitable, if people could be set free. Society s goals should center on improvements in material and social life. In culture, the aftermath of the scientific revolution spilled over into a new movement known as the Enlightenment, centered particularly in France but with adherents throughout the Western world. Enlightenment thinkers continued to support scientific advance. While there were no Newton like breakthroughs, chemists gained new understanding of major elements and biologists developed a vital new classification system for the natural species (The Enlightenment P.1). Enlightenment thinkers showed great interest in technological change, for greater prosperity was a valid and achievable goal. Coercion and cruelty could be corrected, for the Enlightenment encouraged a humanitarian outlook that was applied in condemnations of slavery and war. The Enlightenment, summing up and extending earlier intellectual changes, became an important force for political and social reform. It did not rule unchallenged. Important popular religious movements, such as Methodism in England, showed the continued power of spiritual faith. Many writers, particularly those experimenting with the novel as a new literary form in the West, rebelled against Enlightenment rationality to urge the importance of sentimentality and emotion. These approaches, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 45. Defining Virtue In Plato s Meno Plato s dialogue, titled Meno , began with Meno proposing a question to Socrates on whether virtue is teachable, can be developed by practice, or something one is born with. Socrates, who is somewhat humored by the question, wants to first know what the nature of virtue truly is. Meno offers Socrates multiple examples of virtues based of roles, including the virtueof a man, a woman, a child, an elder, and a slave. The virtue of a man would be to manage his public affairs, and bring good on to himself and his friends and harm to his enemies. The virtue of a woman is to manage the household and to be submissive to her husband (Meno, pg. 60 61). • 47. Strive For Progression Strive for progress, not perfection is one of my favorite inspiring quotes because sometimes we get so caught up in an unachievable goal because of how society perceives perfection. Toned abs, strong arms, or overall strength doesn t come overnight (took me looking in the mirror every morning to figure that one out). Countless times I have fallen into a trap of setting high expectations to achieve a certain look. I finally learned that good things come in time, and working hard is most important in order to see progress. This can be related to the fitness world, education, or life. Salado Indian Animals When you and I see a bunny or some cute animal we don t think about how it could be useful to us, we only think about how cute it is when the Salado Indian tribes saw a cute animal they thought about how it could benefit them. That they could eat the meat and where the fur they did not have the luxury that we do today, we can go to the store and pick up a blanket or a cute shirt along with some food we don t have to worry about what is gonna happen if we don t catch that animal. Just like us they had special occasions that meant they had to dress up a little more than usual. In conclusion, they did amazing things with the material they had and the used their imagination. I highly doubt that you or I would have thought about using aged urine to color our clothing.
