O This is a pressure group campaign
 about the Gurkha Regiment which
 is a British army. They are trying
 to raise awareness to the British
 public as the government wants to
 make a cut to them. They are also,
 trying to persuade
 everyone to sign up
 to a petition to put
 a stop to the cut.
 The main message is to get
 people to sign up to the
 campaign petition to protest
 against the potential closure
 of the Brigade of Gurkha’s in
 Folkestone for the sake of
 saving defence costs.

 They want British Citizens to
 act against what’s happening
 as the army have fought for
 the British for over 200
 years.
 Save the Gurkhas Campaign was released in
 January 2012 as many cuts were being made due
 to the rise in recession, so this website was
 therefore made to put a stop to these cuts.

 One of there campaign techniques that have
 been used is the website that has been made in
 order to promote this campaign. They have also
 made a Facebook page and a twitter page to
 people can keep up to date with their campaign
 as anyone can access these sites. They have also
 done radio interviews, news articles and news
 interviews to get them heard broadly by the
 public.

  lot more and become more passionate towards this
  topic. We can see this through the writing used as
  there’s a lot more writing than pictures and the
  content of the writing is aimed for adults to
  understand what’s going on a lot better.
Success of the Campaign

 They will measure their success of their
  campaign through many ways such as by keeping
  track of their online visitors. They will also be
  able to see how well their campaign is going
  through the amount of people signing up to their
  petition.
 Also, if the government takes any actions, then
  they will be able to see how well their voices
  have been herd.
