In 1938, LEE BYUNG CHULL (1910–1987) of
a large landowning family in the ujrveong
county founded Samsung Sanghoe, a small
trading company with forty employees located
in Su-dong It dealt in groceries. The company
prospered and Lee moved its head office to
Seoul in 1947. When the korean war broke
out, however, he was forced to leave Seoul
and started a sugar refinery in Busan. After
the war, in 1954, Lee built the wollen mill plant
in Daegu. It was the largest woolen mill ever
in the country and the company took on an
aspect of a major company.
Samsung diversified into many areas and
sought to establish Samsung as an industry
leader in a wide range of enterprises, moving
into businesses such as
insurance, securities, and retail. Lee placed
great importance on industrialization, and
focused his economic development strategy
on a handful of large domestic
conglomerates, protecting them from
competition and assisting them financially. He
later banned several foreign companies from
selling consumer electronics in South Korea in
order to protect Samsung from foreign

competition
Objective
The major objective of the company is
to become globally number one in electronics'
industry.
 Their objective is to make sure that all their
products are available with latest technology
and all their products have quality.
 And their objectives also includes to make
user friendly products i.e.. They want to
create products which will help the users in
easy use of products like the SMART
PHONES and SMART TV which is a very
innovative idea this TV along with television
has browser facilities.


Samsung Electronics needed to establish a differential
strategy to position itself as the highest order of
electronics company in the forthcoming decade. As a
result it entered into a business management system
with scenarios that can variously and instantly
recognize signs of environmental changes and
counteract accordingly. In order to support this new
strategic change, Samsung Electronics turned to IT for
a solution and implemented an IT project to provide
insight into its SCM. The company selected Microsoft’s
BI Platform as the instrument for realizing this.
Organizing
The company’s has three main
departments
1) sales department
2) marketing department
3)human resource department .
The BANGLORE branch comes under
sales department. But the DELHI and
MUMBAI branch include of marketing
and HR management.


The sales department focuses only on
sale of products.
 The main aim of the sales department is
to make sure that the products are safely
packed and reached the destination.
 As it is an MNC company the company
has its business all over the world so in
one country the product is made in
another it is packaged so the packaging
is the main objective of this department

Marketing department








The marketing department’s main objective is
to promote the products of the company
Most of the marketing is done by visual
media .
The company even uses various advertising
strategies so as to promote the product.
As the company keeps on manufacturing
quality and even technologically advanced
products marketing department does not face
any much problem
But it does face competition from other
companies so the company spends a lot on
advertising its products.
Human Resource
department
The company focus on HR as the
important factor of the organization
 The branch in Bangalore is more
oriented towards sales department
where as in DELHI and other states
the main focus is human resource.
 The skills required by the employees
are proper communication skills.
