Battle Of Trenton Quote Analysis
Giant waves crash around you, threatening to overturn your boat. The frigid air nips at your exposed
skin. Shouts from army members fill your ears, barking out orders. But you won t listen to those
orders. The only orders you will listen to and act on come from the leader of this army because
without him, this whole plan would not even have the slightest chance of working. The year was 1776.
Christmas Eve. The crossing of the Delaware to the Battle of Trenton was taking place. The
Continental Army would not have been able to win this battle had it not been for George Washington,
the Commander in Chief of the Continental Army. His effective leadership has been so crucial to the
creation of this country and without it, we would probably be somewhere ... Show more content on

Washington wasn t always such a great leader. During the French and Indian War, Washington made a
lot of mistakes such as his horrible embarrassment in result of the assassination of French Diplomat
Jumonville. When the musket smoke cleared, Ensign Joseph Coulon de Jumonville lay wounded,
trying to explain to Washington that he was on a diplomatic mission. Before surrender was declared,
Tanaghrisson struck the ambassador dead with a tomahawk to the head. Anticipating French
retaliation, the young Virginian withdrew a few miles to a large meadow, where he hastily built a
small, crude stockade and named it Fort Necessity. Here, Washington suffered his first and most
humiliating defeat by French reinforcements on July 3, 1754. Washington signed the surrender
document, which was written in French, and unknowingly accepted responsibility for the ambassador
s death. The French published the document in major European capitals. (Clash of Empires) (Q.
Should I explain more about the quote before I go into the Battle of Trenton?) Even though
Washington started out as not a very good leader, the Battle of Trenton during the American
Revolution shows how Washington was able to learn from the Battle of Great Meadows and use his
former mistakes to be victorious. This helped him to become a much better leader.

Love, Murder, and Jealousy in Shakespeare s Macbeth and...
How do Shakespeare and Browning present ideas about love, murder and jealousy in Macbeth, My
Last Duchess and The Laboratory?
This essay will look at ways William Shakespeare (1564 1616, English actor and playwright) and
Robert Browning (1812 1889, English poet and playwright) consider love, murder and jealousy in the
play Macbeth and the poems, My Last Duchess and The Laboratory. When comparing these themes it
is of interest to consider their historical context and setting. Macbeth was first performed in 1611 and
is considered to be one of Shakespeare s darkest and powerful tragedies. Browning s poem The
Laboratory was also based in the seventeenth century and My Last Duchess in the sixteenth century.
Love as depicted in Macbeth and My Last Duchess is not about a conventional sense of love where,
for example, boy meets girl but other forms of love. In Macbeth love is described between Macbeth
and his wife in terms of dearest love and dearest chuck . Macbeth s devotion and love for his country
finds expression in, the service and loyalty I owe . In My Last Duchess, however, love appears to be
concerned with the extent to which the Duke loves himself, I choose/never stoop . This infers that the
Duke views himself in a superior way and would not lower himself to intervene in small annoyances.
This is an indication that the Duke is also a selfish man lacking in humility, who puts his own needs
and desire for happiness above that of others, including those closest

When You’Re At A Family Gathering, Do You Sometimes Feel
When you re at a family gathering, do you sometimes feel like you are disconnected or uncomfortable
because you don t get along with your family? Think of a time in your life where you had a good
relaxing day with your family. If you couldn t think of anything, that is okay because you are not
alone. According to a poll of 2,000 parents conducted by Virgin Holidays and Universal Orlando
Resort, they found that families spend about 36 minutes per weekday together (Denee, realtruth.org).

so, there has been a decrease in the amount of children going into foster care, but sadly enough only a
few are adopted. According to a study conducted by the U.S. Department of Human and Health

around 617,000 children were served, but only 53,000 were adopted. In some cases, families have
been devastatingly broken up from incarceration of a family member or the aftermath of a divorce
between two parents, which was how my biological family ended up.
Before my parents got divorced, everyone in my household was connected with each other but also

Womens Choir Performance Essay
The Women s Choir Festival included many different singing groups from Baylor and the community.
The women s choir and Bella Voce each performed two songs. The third part of the concert consisted
of 4 soloists singing in opera style. The final performance was a large group of singers from 9 high
school and the Baylor Choirs. Everyone got on stage for the final performance and sang 3 songs
together. All the songs that were performed varied in qualities. Some had a very fast tempo while
others were very slow and sorrowful. Most of the music was under four minutes in length, except for
the final composition which was a blend of songs and therefore went on longer. After each section,
had performed they would either sit on stage and watch the other groups go, or they would move into
the first few rows of seating for the crowd and wait for their turn again to go. All of the soloists came

It was a very upbeat song with an Allegro tempo. The piece was polyphonic with multiple changes in
dynamics. There were crescendos and decrescendos throughout; especially when it was transitioning
between rhythms. The song had its own melody and rhythm that was intertwined with the lyrics and
rhythm of When the Saint Go Marching In . It went back and forth between the two melodies which
caused the song to last longer than the other 4 minutes songs in the concert. The only timbres that
were present were once associated with voice and piano; no other instruments were used. The complex
texture of this song may have arisen from the canonic imitation that was used throughout. One half of
the choir would sing one part, followed by the other half repeating it. Performing this song was the
large group of all 9 high schools and Baylor choir student; there had to be over 150 people singing all

Our True Nationality Is Mankind
Our true nationality is mankind. ― H.G. Wells
Today, the scourge of nationalism continues to infect humanity. Without doubt, in some circles,
nationalism is hotly debated. For most people, however, the concept of nationalism is rarely
questioned. In fact, it s a foregone conclusion that people should love the nation in which they reside.
Some people even take great pride in the fact that they were arbitrarily born in a specific geographical
location. Unfortunately, like religion or capitalism, nationalism is alive and well in the 21st century.
Throughout the history of human civilization, people have been creating, critiquing and altering
institutions. For instance, people have been condemning religion for centuries, indeed millennia. Yet
the institution of religion still remains a dominant force in modern society. Without question, religious
institutions and practices have morphed, dare I say, evolved, over the centuries. But the fundamental
concept that human beings exist within an abstract framework of Gods, mythologies, symbols, and so
forth, still remains.
In short, it takes an extremely long time to change ideologies and practices. On the other hand, that
doesn t mean conversations about such topics should be off limits or discouraged. Quite the contrary:
such conversations are essential, especially today. As the legendary science fiction writer Ursula K. Le
Guin recently said, We live in capitalism. Its power seems inescapable. So did the divine right of

Sympathy And Sympathy In Frankenstein
To be able to feel sympathy, humans first must be able to read into and understand another s emotions.
Mary Shelley uses this human aspect in her novel Frankenstein, as readers emotions are played. Set in
the early 1900s, the novel is a recount of Victor Frankenstein s life as he tells it to Robert Walter, a
man leading an exploration to the North Pole. Frankenstein starts his narrative explaining how he was
a very curious child, and eventually went off to college and conducted an experiment on his own.
Frankenstein ended up creating a monster, which changed Frankenstein s life for the worse. In Mary
Shelley s novel, Frankenstein s monster earns the reader s sympathy and pity because after being

The monster is in need of help from his creator, for he is new to the world and does not know anything
about living yet, but instead, he has nobody and is forced to figure life out by himself. Readers
understand the monster s emotion because he says I sat down and wept . By understanding his
emotion, it will cause readers to feel sympathy for him. This also proves one of the larger themes of
the novel, that people should treat others with empathy, because as his creator, Frankenstein should
have been able to understand and share his feelings, for he was often alone and left to teach and fend
for himself during his studies. Frankenstein s reject to his creation is what caused the monster to feel
so alone, and ultimately, what led to both of their destructions. In addition to being rejected by his
creator, Frankenstein s monster is also treated very violently by humans, leaving him alone and feeling
like he did something wrong, even though their reactions are based solely on his appearance. The
monster does not want to be thought of as a monster at first, but as he comes to realize from human
interactions, no matter what his actions are, people will always judge him by what he cannot control.

Comparing Story Of An Hour And The Interlopers
You might be wondering why exactly I chose to compare The Story of an Hour by Kate Chopin and
The Interlopers by Saki. Although when you first look at them both, you could hardly say they have
any comparisons. After all, they re both about completely different subjects! But when you go a bit
deeper, you ll realize that there actually are a few.
The first similarity that I found was that both short stories have two main characters that are both
struggling with each other. In The Interlopers, it s Georg and Ulrich. Their two families are struggling
together in a rather violent way, but this will be explained a bit later. In The Story of an Hour, Mrs.
Mallard is the main character, and her sister, Josephine. This is a bit more difficult to determine the
main characters, as her husband is not mentioned frequently in the story, but he is a main problem. ...

the times before he left to join the war, Mrs. Mallard felt a captive. Yes, she loved her husband, but he

news of Mr. Mallard s death, a weight felt as if it were lifted. Now she must be free. In the end,

Cloud Gate Visual Analysis
Art can speak to people in many different ways. Art stimulates viewers visual senses, and allows them
to express themselves in ways they could have never thought possible. Cloud Gate, commonly
referred to as The Bean , is an intriguing art piece. Kapoor s Cloud Gate sculpture challenges viewers
to contemplate self image, three dimensional life, and religion through its structure and appearance.
Cloud Gate reaches a wide range of people because of its popularity. It has become Chicago s second
largest tourist attraction. The sculpture was constructed in 2004, but its official dedication to Chicago s
Millennium Park took place in 2006. Since then, it has been featured in the press quite a bit. Many
movies, including The Break Up, have given this marvelous art piece a cameo. The Bean can also be

society, today. It seems to be hard for men and women to relate to one another. Friendships between
the opposite genders are becoming less common. This may be because people fear expressing
themselves in front of the opposite gender. Men might feel as if they look less masculine when doing
things such as shopping or buying flowers. Similarly, women may feel that they are coming off as less
feminine when they go to the gym or change a tire. Kapoor s Cloud Gate sculpture is a reminder that
we are all equal. We should not separate ourselves according to gender, in fact, we should unify.

Some people need cold, hard facts and statistics in order to be persuaded. Others find the testimony of

Techniques Used to Direct Two Film Versions of William Shakespeare s Romeo and Juliet Having
watched two different film adaptations of Romeo and Juliet , it is clear to see that the two directors,
Baz Luhrmann and Franco Zeffirelli, have used a number of different techniques, quite differently at
times, to put across their particular interpretations of the play. These methods and different
interpretations are very obvious if you should study the same scene as portrayed in each film. We

them and found that the differences, though some were more subtle than others, were obvious. Whilst

In the opening scene of the films, both versions use extremely different techniques to portray the
introduction of the play. Luhrmann, again, uses modernisation and starts the film with a news reporter
on a television slowly moving closer to the viewer. Along with the plain black background and no
music, this gives a very dramatic effect to the start of the film which will get the viewer instantly
interested in the rest of the film. Once the television has reached the front of the screen and the news
reporter has finished the introduction, the scene immediately changes to a fast and furious collection
of clips from modern USA. These clips of chaos, terror and destruction can be used to hint the coming
emotions of the film but also to draw the viewer s attention to the film. In my opinion it is Luhrmann s
way of showing that if Shakespeare had written Romeo and Juliet in the present day, this is the type of
chaos that the Capulet and Montague families could cause, a modern twist to the play. As well as the
images filmed, the camera effects, editing and dramatic music also add up to make the scene as
chaotic as possible. The fast zooming, panning and freeze frames give the effect of a disordered scene
which also makes the viewer feel as though they are a part

Common Core State Standards Initiative
Common Core: To Be or Not to Be Politics and education have been intertwined since the
establishment of public education in the United States. In other words, it is a well known fact that
public education is an extension of our political system. This has never been more apparent to the
public than over the last three decades, beginning in 1983 with A Nation at Risk which is considered a
significant event in modern American educational history. For the last few years, it has been the
controversial topic of the Common Core State Standards Initiative in the headlines. One can hardly
turn on the news or read a newspaper or web site without hearing something about Common Core
State Standards (CCCS). People either seem to be adamantly for or against the standards. Educational
reform and educational standards are not new and date back much further than many people realize.
Furthermore, if the public understood what the standards actually encompass, there may be more
support for Common Core State Standards. However, the public is being inundated with a multitude of
reasons why states should not adopt Common Core by making it a political issue in order to gain
votes. Regardless of what standards are adopted, common standards in education should be
implemented in the United States to prepare students for college and career in order to compete and
succeed in a global economy.
Since its inception, public education has continually focused on improving schooling in the United

The Ones Who Walked Away from Omelas
The Ones Who Walked Away from Omelas Samantha Clements ENG 125 February 18, 2013 The
Ones Who Walked Away from Omelas is to some people, a very disturbing story; but, it is nothing
short of the truth when speaking of today s society. Can a city really exist where there is nothing but
happiness forevermore? No, it cannot, not without consequences; as shown in Le Guin s story. Good
vs. Evil is a definite underlying theme in The Ones Who Walked Away from Omelas. The goodness
and happiness in the city of Omelas comes only by the misery and sacrifice of an innocent child. Good
cannot exist without evil. In this story, the child helps the people of Omelas measure their own
happiness; because if the child in the cellar was not so ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Madness and Insanity in Shakespeare s Hamlet Essay
Hamlet and Insanity
William Shakespeare s creation of the character of Hamlet within the tragedy of that name left open
the question of whether the madness of the protagonist is entirely feigned or not. This essay will treat
this aspect of the drama.
George Lyman Kittredge in the Introduction to The Tragedy of Hamlet, Prince of Denmark, explains
the lack of success with Hamlet s pretended insanity, and in so doing he implies that the madness is
entirely feigned and not real:
The necessity for some device like the play within the play is due to the failure of Hamlet s assumed
madness to achieve its purpose. [. . .] In Shakespeare s drama, however, Hamlet s motive for acting the
madman is obvious. We speak ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Hamlet feigns madness but also shows signs of true madness) after his father s death and his mother s
overhasty remarriage; Ophelia actually does go mad after her father s death at the hands of Hamlet.
For both, madness is a kind of freedom a license to speak truth. Those who hear them listen carefully,
expecting to find something of substance in their speech. Is it they, the audience, who make something
out of nothing, or is it the mad who make something out of the nothing of ordinary experience? (90)
Hamlet s first words in the play say that Claudius is A little more than kin and less than kind,
indicating a dissimilarity in values between the new king and himself introducing into the story a
psychological problem, a refusal to conform, which lays the groundwork for, or previews, the
upcoming pretended madness. As the future king of Denmark, the hero is expected to maintain a good
working relationship with the present king, Claudius. But this is not so. Even before the apparition of
the ghost, Hamlet has a very sour relationship with his uncle and stepfather, Claudius.
Hamlet s first soliloquy deepens the psychological rift between the prince and the world at large, but
especially women; it emphasizes the frailty of women an obvious reference to his

Australopithecus Afarensis, and Australopithecus Africanus...
The phylogeny started off with Proconsul heseloni as the common ancestor to Sivapithecus indicus,
Australopithecus afarensis, and Australopithecus Africanus. The reasoning for this was from the
approximated age of Proconsul heseloni of 23 million years ago. This places Sivapithecus indicus
roughly 15 million years after, suggesting that Sivapithecus indicus directly evolved from Proconsul
heseloni.
From Proconsul heseloni, it was decided that three species evolved from it. These species included A.
A. afarensis, A. africanus and Sivapithecus indicus. Sivapithecus indicus was branched off the early
human evolutionary line as the characteristics from the dentation and skull characteristics differed
from that of A. afarensis and A. africanus ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This difference can be used to infer that they lived in different areas of the world as it can be assumed
that the diets of the two were unalike, explaining the dissimilarity of the canine size. As it is inferred
that the two species lived in different regions of the world, it can be assumed that they co existed at
the same time period.
Homo habilis followed A. africanus indicating that A. africanus was a direct ancestor of H. habilis.
The reasoning for this included the brain weight and body weight of the H. habilis slightly increased
from that of A. africanus. As there was a general increase the overall brain to body weight ratio,
indicating that there was an increase in the overall body weight of the two.
Homo erectus was branched off after H. habilis as the justification for this was from the muzzle angles
of the different species. As H. erectus had a muzzle angle of 107° it was decided that it was reasonable
to assume that H. erectus evolved from H. habilis. However, in the overall positioning of the
phylogeny, it was placed on a side branch off H. habilis. This reasoning for this was that if H. erectus
was placed on the main evolutionary line to evolve from H. ergaster, the muzzle angles from H.
ergaster, H. erectus, and Homo neaderthalensis would increase then decrease. It would not be logical
to place H. erectus on the main evolutionary line. Further justification that H. erectus was not a direct

Reflection Of Education In High School
It s 1994 in Long Beach, California. Erin Gruwell is just starting her first teaching job, as freshman
and sophomore English teacher at Woodrow Wilson High School, which, two years earlier,
implemented a voluntary integration program. For many of the existing teachers, the integration has
ruined the school, whose previously stellar academic standing has been replaced with many students
who will be lucky to graduate or even be literate. Despite choosing the school on purpose because of
its integration program, Erin is unprepared for the nature of her classroom, whose students live by
generations of strict moral codes of protecting their own at all cost. Many are in gangs and almost all
know somebody that has been killed by gang violence. The Latinos hate the Cambodians who hate the
blacks and so on. The only person the students hate more is Ms. Gruwell. It isn t until Erin holds an
illegal discussion about a recent drive by shooting death that she fully begins to understand what she s
up against. And it isn t until she provides an assignment of writing a daily journal which will be not
graded, and will remain unread by her unless they so choose that the students begin to open up to her.
I like this movie and the way it transitions from bad to good in the way that Erin Gruwell faces a hard
time up against these students with harsh realities who don t give a damn about anyone but their own
kind. However, as time passes Erin starts to realise these students backgrounds and

your writing technique showed how classy and intelligent your story is. Considering that education
was not in your reach, you made your story sound educated and significant among other stories. I

otherwise known as rootwork or conjuring, is a manner of folk magic and spiritual practice that

Tesco We make what matters better, together
Here are 5 of their main stakeholders:
Customers
Employees
Suppliers
Investors

Customers
The customer s interest within Tesco would be that they would want to buy a range of products that
are of a high quality or receive or a good service from Tesco. If the customers do not receive the
products/services they have paid for they would be unhappy with Tesco, which could mean that they
may move to a competitor, causing Tesco to be losing customers and could also mean that, Tesco
would get a negative reputation from this and can further reduce the amount of customers that go
there. This shows that customers have a big influence for Tesco, as Tesco would need them as a source
of income. Tesco wouldn t be meeting their aims if they didn t have customers because they wouldn t
be making a profit and wouldn t be making what matters better, together (which is their purpose).
Employees
The employees are related to Tesco as they work for them and they are a part of their team, who try to
provide a good level of service for customers. The employees represent Tesco as they are the first
point of contact for customers to use (when they are in a Tesco store) which means that the employees

The Soviet Revolution Of Russia
Like the swing of a pendulum, the Tsars of Russia would fluctuate between reforming the government
and becoming reactionary to the situations in the land. The Russian Tsars/Tsarinas, considered
themselves the father or mother of the entire land and it was a very big land. Russian history had been
prone to revolutions. Many a Tsar found himself on the short end of a sword or just the right amount
of poison in his drink. All of the monarchs of Russia had this history in their minds when they began
to rule but as the parent of their nation, they had no choice but to rule and do the best they could.
Revolution was part of Russian life. There had been uprisings and revolutions throughout its history.
The 18th and 19th centuries saw a big push toward Westernizing the country but as long as there were
serfs; Russia could never truly be Western. The serfs were the biggest dilemma that the Tsars faced.
The happiness of a people can gauge whether a ruler stays in power or not. The majority of Russians
were serf peasants, dependent on their overlords for their bread and board. Their overlord was
dependent on the serfs, the Tsar dependent on the nobles for their devotion and taxes. Catherine the
Great, the Tsarina of Russia from 1762 to 1796 was considered an enlightened despot . She was a
student of the Enlightenment and ruled Russia with absolute devotion. Catherine was a patron of the

status; 17% aged under 16 (unable to work full time), 65% aged 16 64 (potentially full time workers)
and 18% aged 65 and over (retirees). Furthermore, the end tail of the retiree column has been growing
in recent times as the number of males over 100 years of age has more than doubled between the years
of 2003 and 2013. Formerly only 60 persons reached this age in a generation have now escalated to
130 males. The females, starting off substantially higher than the males, have risen as well. In 2003,
there were 470 females over the age of 100 in a single generation. That number is now 720 during the
same period as the 130 males. Obviously on a global scale, developed nations are living longer due to

disappointed by this, and they campaigned heavily against this tariff. There was defiantly a conflict of
interest in South Carolina because there was a group of people who actually supported the

the South Carolina state legislature. However, unionist stood up against the nullies because they felt
that the states didn t hold nullification rights. Nullies felt that the tariff acts of 1828 and 1832 favored

Baroque period but are not widely recognized today. Carlo Maria Michelangelo Nicola Broschi, who

in great poverty. In order to maintain economic security and to become the greatest singer of all time,
Fairnelli decided to castrate. As a result, Farinelli was able to keep his powerful male voice that
allowed him to sing any range of voice parts in opera, including high pitched soprano parts. Shortly
after Farinelli s first few public performances, he became popular in many cities as a young talented
singer. In addition to singing, Farinelli was a harpsichordist and a composer. He composed several
cantatas and arias, including the famous piece, Ossequiosissimo ringraziamento, which he also wrote
the lyrics. Therefore, even though Farinelli focused on his vocal the most, he was a gifted musician in

Just like most of the talented musicians who begin their careers at young age, Farinelli participated in

The Effects Of Psoriasis On The Development And...
Stress as an Influencing Factor in Psoriasis,
Psoriasis is a chronic, inflammatory skin disease with an approximate 2 3% prevalence in the general
population. The etiology of psoriasis is not fully understood, but it appears to be multifactorial,
involving both genetic and environmental influences. Among these factors, emotional stress is
considered to play an important role in the onset and exacerbation of psoriasis.
Emotional stress may influence the development and exacerbation of psoriasis. The proportion of
psoriasis patients who believe stress affects their skin condition (i.e., stress responders ) is
considerably high, ranging from 37% to 78%. Stress may worsen psoriasis severity and may even
lengthen the time to disease clearance. Dysregulation of the hypothalamus pituitary adrenal and
sympathetic adreno medullary systems has been proposed as one possible underlying cause of stress
induced flares of psoriasis. While stress may be an exacerbating factor, psoriasis itself may contribute
to significant adverse psychological sequelae. Breaking this stress cycle may be an important part of
any therapeutic approach. Thus, stress reduction through psychotherapy and pharmacotherapy may be
useful in treating psoriasis patients who are stress responders.
Significance of Stress in psoriasis,
Researchers examined 132 psoriasis patients whose psoriasis had completely cleared with anthralin
therapy and were followed over 3 years. Fifty one patients (39%) recalled specific

Soy Essay
Soy sauce is used as an important flavouring in cooking and has been integrated into the traditional
cuisines of many East and Southeast Asian cultures. Despite their rather similar appearance, soy sauce
made in different cultures and regions are different in taste, consistency, saltiness and fragrance.
Soy sauce is generally a salty, brown liquid made from fermented soybeans mixed with roasted grain
such as wheat, barley and rice, added with a mold called Aspergillus oryzae and salt. Its consistency
can range from very thin to very thick. Flavours too can vary by types and have very subtle

These amino acids and peptides contribute a full, robust flavour and act as a flavour potentiator. The
moromi enzymes also convert the wheat starch into sugars which is important to the finished soy
sauce because it subdues the saltiness. Yeasts act upon a portion of these sugars to form alcohols.
Ethanol is the predominant of these and imparts many flavouring and aromatic characteristics. It also
indicates the presence of other aromatic compounds produced by fermentation. The amount of ethanol
varies depending on the types of soy sauce. For example, the lower level of wheat in tamari soy sauce
do not contribute enough starch to create ethanol so its flavour is entirely different.
Some of the amino acids and sugar undergo Maillard reaction during fermentation to develop a
reddish brown colour. The flavour will be adversely affected if too many of these flavour contributing
components are changed into colouring substances. The colour of finished sauce will darken
undesirably if it is exposed to oxygen. Opened containers of soy sauce should be sealed and
refrigerated to protect both flavour and colour. Finished soy sauce with a pH of about 4.8 and around
1.0% lactic acid is considered as a good soy sauce

Both Greeks and Romans tried to realize some form of democracy. quot;It is to Greece that we
ultimately trace the idea of democracy and all that accompanies it: citizenship, constitutions, equality

human intelligence. quot; (Perry, 52)
Because Rome tried to maintain a republic it had different needs compared to the Greeks. quot; The
Romans, unlike the Greeks, were distinguished by practicality and common sense, not by a love of

Existentialism And The Existentialist Ideas Behind...
Introduction Existentialism is a theory of philosophy that stepped away from ideas that there is any
single unifying reality or reason to existence and that we should approach philosophy from a
perspective of what we can perceive to be true, not what we think is true without being able to
perceive it. In that mind set, it tries to examine what a person s perception of reality can be, their place
is in that reality, how they approach their own existence given that information, and how, based on
those determinations, should they choose to act within that reality. To explore the ideas behind

perceived universal ideal but to act as they choose within their own beliefs. This results in people
living as their true selves. As a result of this idea, people would hold total responsibility for their
actions. The existentialist would reject that a person is chained by their nature or should act to meet
the standards of some outside entity, organization, or belief system. In my opinion, this is one of the
strengths of existentialist ideas in that an individual s decisions are their own in all ways. They cannot,
and should not, shirk responsibility for any actions because they had to act in accordance with a
particular belief system, orders from authority, or because of urges to do so. Assuming the individual
is of sound mind, if following existentialist ideals, they can rest assured that they are where the buck
stops for accountability. However, this results in two issues. The first is that by following this ideal
outlined by existentialists, are you acting freely of your own accord or are you just trying to follow the
ideals of others and only acting in an incorrectly perceived freedom? The second being that if we are
each acting in accordance with our own

How to get away with murder: Heart Attack
It is widely believed that all those who commit murder knowingly are insane. Many would say that
anyone would have to be out of one s mind to kill another human being. However, the main problem
with committing murder is the extreme risk of being caught. When one decides that murder is unjust,
the problem of how to commit it and how to avoid being captured are their first thoughts. Until now,
very few individuals get away with murder. If more people knew how to cause a massive heart attack
without any physical signs of evidence, there would be a lot more unsolved or mysterious deaths in
today s society.
One of the most secretive ways of committing a murder without any foul play would have to be the
heart attack method. This method could be fairly easy and effective if instructions are followed ...

Always cry, tears will give the impression of deep pain. Try to view this death as if your world is
coming to an end. Cry and yell in great agony for someone to Please help! while they are covering up
your victim. You will want to ride to the hospital in the ambulance with your victim (this will show
extreme concern). Once you are in the hospital, go to the rest room to pull yourself together; this will
be the moment you can dispose of the insulin vial and the syringe if you did not already have. The
police will ask numerous questions; prepare yourself for any possible questions; have your story
straight before you ever start this process. If you have prepared a good story and have great acting
skills, you should be able to fool them.
Follow these steps with great precision and you will easily create a crime and walk away without any
consequences. The steps I have outlined about the heart attack method are very effective in ending one
s life. One more important note, If you get caught, you did not get these instructions from

  • 2. Battle Of Trenton Quote Analysis Giant waves crash around you, threatening to overturn your boat. The frigid air nips at your exposed skin. Shouts from army members fill your ears, barking out orders. But you won t listen to those orders. The only orders you will listen to and act on come from the leader of this army because without him, this whole plan would not even have the slightest chance of working. The year was 1776. Christmas Eve. The crossing of the Delaware to the Battle of Trenton was taking place. The Continental Army would not have been able to win this battle had it not been for George Washington, the Commander in Chief of the Continental Army. His effective leadership has been so crucial to the creation of this country and without it, we would probably be somewhere ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Washington wasn t always such a great leader. During the French and Indian War, Washington made a lot of mistakes such as his horrible embarrassment in result of the assassination of French Diplomat Jumonville. When the musket smoke cleared, Ensign Joseph Coulon de Jumonville lay wounded, trying to explain to Washington that he was on a diplomatic mission. Before surrender was declared, Tanaghrisson struck the ambassador dead with a tomahawk to the head. Anticipating French retaliation, the young Virginian withdrew a few miles to a large meadow, where he hastily built a small, crude stockade and named it Fort Necessity. Here, Washington suffered his first and most humiliating defeat by French reinforcements on July 3, 1754. Washington signed the surrender document, which was written in French, and unknowingly accepted responsibility for the ambassador s death. The French published the document in major European capitals. (Clash of Empires) (Q. Should I explain more about the quote before I go into the Battle of Trenton?) Even though Washington started out as not a very good leader, the Battle of Trenton during the American Revolution shows how Washington was able to learn from the Battle of Great Meadows and use his former mistakes to be victorious. This helped him to become a much better leader. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Love, Murder, and Jealousy in Shakespeare s Macbeth and... How do Shakespeare and Browning present ideas about love, murder and jealousy in Macbeth, My Last Duchess and The Laboratory? This essay will look at ways William Shakespeare (1564 1616, English actor and playwright) and Robert Browning (1812 1889, English poet and playwright) consider love, murder and jealousy in the play Macbeth and the poems, My Last Duchess and The Laboratory. When comparing these themes it is of interest to consider their historical context and setting. Macbeth was first performed in 1611 and is considered to be one of Shakespeare s darkest and powerful tragedies. Browning s poem The Laboratory was also based in the seventeenth century and My Last Duchess in the sixteenth century. Love as depicted in Macbeth and My Last Duchess is not about a conventional sense of love where, for example, boy meets girl but other forms of love. In Macbeth love is described between Macbeth and his wife in terms of dearest love and dearest chuck . Macbeth s devotion and love for his country finds expression in, the service and loyalty I owe . In My Last Duchess, however, love appears to be concerned with the extent to which the Duke loves himself, I choose/never stoop . This infers that the Duke views himself in a superior way and would not lower himself to intervene in small annoyances. This is an indication that the Duke is also a selfish man lacking in humility, who puts his own needs and desire for happiness above that of others, including those closest ... • 8. Our True Nationality Is Mankind Our true nationality is mankind. ― H.G. Wells Today, the scourge of nationalism continues to infect humanity. Without doubt, in some circles, nationalism is hotly debated. For most people, however, the concept of nationalism is rarely questioned. In fact, it s a foregone conclusion that people should love the nation in which they reside. Some people even take great pride in the fact that they were arbitrarily born in a specific geographical location. Unfortunately, like religion or capitalism, nationalism is alive and well in the 21st century. Throughout the history of human civilization, people have been creating, critiquing and altering institutions. For instance, people have been condemning religion for centuries, indeed millennia. Yet the institution of religion still remains a dominant force in modern society. Without question, religious institutions and practices have morphed, dare I say, evolved, over the centuries. But the fundamental concept that human beings exist within an abstract framework of Gods, mythologies, symbols, and so forth, still remains. In short, it takes an extremely long time to change ideologies and practices. On the other hand, that doesn t mean conversations about such topics should be off limits or discouraged. Quite the contrary: such conversations are essential, especially today. As the legendary science fiction writer Ursula K. Le Guin recently said, We live in capitalism. Its power seems inescapable. Luhrmann, again, uses modernisation and starts the film with a news reporter on a television slowly moving closer to the viewer. Once the television has reached the front of the screen and the news reporter has finished the introduction, the scene immediately changes to a fast and furious collection of clips from modern USA. These clips of chaos, terror and destruction can be used to hint the coming emotions of the film but also to draw the viewer s attention to the film. In my opinion it is Luhrmann s way of showing that if Shakespeare had written Romeo and Juliet in the present day, this is the type of chaos that the Capulet and Montague families could cause, a modern twist to the play. This places Sivapithecus indicus roughly 15 million years after, suggesting that Sivapithecus indicus directly evolved from Proconsul heseloni. From Proconsul heseloni, it was decided that three species evolved from it. These species included A. A. afarensis, A. africanus and Sivapithecus indicus. The Russian Tsars/Tsarinas, considered themselves the father or mother of the entire land and it was a very big land. Russian history had been prone to revolutions. Many a Tsar found himself on the short end of a sword or just the right amount of poison in his drink. All of the monarchs of Russia had this history in their minds when they began to rule but as the parent of their nation, they had no choice but to rule and do the best they could. Revolution was part of Russian life. There had been uprisings and revolutions throughout its history. The 18th and 19th centuries saw a big push toward Westernizing the country but as long as there were serfs; Russia could never truly be Western. The serfs were the biggest dilemma that the Tsars faced. The happiness of a people can gauge whether a ruler stays in power or not. • 34. The Effects Of Psoriasis On The Development And... Stress as an Influencing Factor in Psoriasis, Psoriasis is a chronic, inflammatory skin disease with an approximate 2 3% prevalence in the general population. The etiology of psoriasis is not fully understood, but it appears to be multifactorial, involving both genetic and environmental influences. Among these factors, emotional stress is considered to play an important role in the onset and exacerbation of psoriasis. Emotional stress may influence the development and exacerbation of psoriasis. The proportion of psoriasis patients who believe stress affects their skin condition (i.e., stress responders ) is considerably high, ranging from 37% to 78%. Stress may worsen psoriasis severity and may even lengthen the time to disease clearance. Dysregulation of the hypothalamus pituitary adrenal and sympathetic adreno medullary systems has been proposed as one possible underlying cause of stress induced flares of psoriasis. While stress may be an exacerbating factor, psoriasis itself may contribute to significant adverse psychological sequelae. Breaking this stress cycle may be an important part of any therapeutic approach. Thus, stress reduction through psychotherapy and pharmacotherapy may be useful in treating psoriasis patients who are stress responders. Significance of Stress in psoriasis, Researchers examined 132 psoriasis patients whose psoriasis had completely cleared with anthralin therapy and were followed over 3 years. These amino acids and peptides contribute a full, robust flavour and act as a flavour potentiator. The moromi enzymes also convert the wheat starch into sugars which is important to the finished soy sauce because it subdues the saltiness. Yeasts act upon a portion of these sugars to form alcohols. Ethanol is the predominant of these and imparts many flavouring and aromatic characteristics. It also indicates the presence of other aromatic compounds produced by fermentation. The amount of ethanol varies depending on the types of soy sauce. For example, the lower level of wheat in tamari soy sauce do not contribute enough starch to create ethanol so its flavour is entirely different. Some of the amino acids and sugar undergo Maillard reaction during fermentation to develop a reddish brown colour. The flavour will be adversely affected if too many of these flavour contributing components are changed into colouring substances. The colour of finished sauce will darken undesirably if it is exposed to oxygen. Opened containers of soy sauce should be sealed and refrigerated to protect both flavour and colour. Introduction Existentialism is a theory of philosophy that stepped away from ideas that there is any single unifying reality or reason to existence and that we should approach philosophy from a perspective of what we can perceive to be true, not what we think is true without being able to perceive it. In that mind set, it tries to examine what a person s perception of reality can be, their place is in that reality, how they approach their own existence given that information, and how, based on those determinations, should they choose to act within that reality. To explore the ideas behind existentialism I will discuss the strengths and weaknesses of a few main features of existentialism and give particular focus to the existentialist ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Beyond the idea of individual existence, existentialists also embrace individual freedom to self determine and create yourself in the world. People should not be expected to act according to any perceived universal ideal but to act as they choose within their own beliefs. This results in people living as their true selves. As a result of this idea, people would hold total responsibility for their actions. The existentialist would reject that a person is chained by their nature or should act to meet the standards of some outside entity, organization, or belief system. In my opinion, this is one of the strengths of existentialist ideas in that an individual s decisions are their own in all ways. They cannot, and should not, shirk responsibility for any actions because they had to act in accordance with a particular belief system, orders from authority, or because of urges to do so. Assuming the individual is of sound mind, if following existentialist ideals, they can rest assured that they are where the buck stops for accountability. However, this results in two issues. The first is that by following this ideal outlined by existentialists, are you acting freely of your own accord or are you just trying to follow the ideals of others and only acting in an incorrectly perceived freedom? The second being that if we are each acting in accordance with our own ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
