Our primary interest is to identify how congestion growth affects income growth in a metropolitan
region. In Table 2 and 3, the results of the simultaneous equation models show that the coefficient
estimates for congestion growth are negative and significant at the 10% level. That is, congestion
growth has a negative effect on income growth in both 2000s and 1990s. Specifically, every one
percentage increase in congestion growth leads to a 0.07% and a 0.19% decrease in income growth

This semester I visited the Reach Academy in West Harrison, New York. My experience observing
gave me incredible insight into the world of special education. The Reach Academy is a residential
treatment facility. Many of these students did not work well in the inclusive classroom setting. The

The people involved were terrified. They did not know Mr. Neumann planned to do what he did. He

A security manager should have prepared their employers regarding the incident. The security
manager should have had an alarm that would have prevented Mr. Neumann from entering the
building. Security measures that should have been required to protect the employees, should have
been a security alarm in which only the managers and supervisors should know the passcode to get in
the building. There also should have been secured locks to secure the building. Most importantly, the
company should have had video surveillance to see who enters and exits the building and to see what s
going on in and out the building.
Mr. Neumann possibly had a motive to take out who he disliked while working there. He probably did
not like how he was being treated when he came to work. John Neuman did not have to take his anger
out on the employees. They were innocent people who did not have to die the way they did. Before

People, Places, and Events Reflection
I attended a student organization and development workshop series which was held on February 4,
2014 at Russell union. The topic for the workshop series was Building an Exclusive Campus and the
speaker was Paul Bradley, a worker at the student activities office. This series scheduled to start at
7:00p.m. but it was started some minutes after seven due the lateness of the attendees. I attended this
program because I thought it would help me learn about the different organizations on campus, and
how to network through socialization which would help me to easily transition from college into
medical school and blend with the others without feeling any different. Thus, to be able to make new
friends, get to know people first before judging them, and last but not the least, learn of the many
organizations and the important role I can play in them if I become a member to promote the
organizations purpose existence. The speaker talked about how to promote an organization by making
it open to everyone and not limiting it to a certain group of race, color, religion, gender and so on. By
attending this sold series, I learned about how we easily stereotype a person or a group of individuals
whom we have never spoken to but easily judge them because of their color, race, or background. The
knowledge that I acquired at this event will help me to understand people and their actions especially
my patients five years from now when I get into medical school and start working with a

Theory: John Dillinger Introduction: Throughout history there have always been many different
theories of crime and why people commit crimes. In the late 1930s a new theory rose to the forefront;
this theory was called the anomie theory. Anomie means a lack of ethical standards. The anomie
theory was proposed by Roberton Merton. It stated that society, as a whole, generally shares the same
goals relating to having success in life; whether that is having a family, wealth, power, or just
happiness. Society generally agrees that these are things that are to be sought after. Furthermore,
Merton proposed that society, as a whole, also has a list of generally accepted ways to achieve such
goals (Merton, 1938). Criminal activity, such as robbery, murder, and corruption, are among the things
that are not accepted by society as appropriate means to achieve these goals. Merton s anomie theory
was built upon in 1992 by Robert Agnew who developed the general strain theory. General strain

What we believe to be impossible to be achieved through reality is often projected in the unconscious.
Freud theorized that our minds repressed desires that could summon emotions such as guilt or shame,
which could lead to what is called wish fulfillment through dreams, hallucinations, or phases of
neurosis. Experiences of intense dream sequences that involve sexual relations with family members,
or homicide carried out by the individual or others, are examples of wish fulfillment dreams. Said
dreams represent taboos or actions that could result in extreme consequences in reality, so instead, the
impulses or yearnings are satisfied within the unconscious where only the individual can truly gain
