Permit Me To Introduce Myself As An American Citizen
Permit me to introduce myself. I am an American citizen, a retired military member with twenty
three years honorable service to this country. I am a patriot, a husband, a father, and a grandfather.
I have no political aspirations nor do I want any notoriety. I just want to get America back. I want
her to be strong and healthy. I want her to resume her leadership role in the world. Every day when
I put on my uniform, I put my life on the line. I swore an oath to support and defend the
Constitution of the United Statesagainst all enemies foreign and domestic. I have never broken that
oath nor will I ever. I have kept the faith with my brother Marines and sister services to defend this
country at all costs.
I am writing this because I am fearful about the future of our country. The path the current
administration has chosen. Yet my fears go much farther back in 20th century history. The lack of
attention being paid to our Constitution, and the Bill of Rights. I am very concerned about the
corruption in Washington D.C. from our elected officials who are supposed to represent US not
himself or herself or a party.
Let me get to the subject.

Our parents as I have said many times were the nation s greatest generation. They worked hard,
sacrificed and built the good life for them and for us. I know my mother and dad did. So what
went wrong? How did this generation lose its way? Suffice it to say many books have been
written on the subject. For the sake of brevity, I will summarize what is common knowledge.
Over indulgence, permissiveness, failure to make our children accountable for their own actions
and humanism are all big factors. A falling away from God, lack of discipline and the attitude of If

1. Explain the difference between a protective environment and a nurturing environment. a
protective environment is one where the child is protected from violence and abuse. A nurturing
environment must first meet all the requirements of a protective environment. 2.What are
characteristics of a nurturing parent? What factors, which may be out of a parent s control, impede
a nurturing environment? What types of physical care must a parent provide for an infant child?
Nurturing parents typically spend a lot of time with their child and know their personality. some
children must deal with not having their parents around as much as they d like too because their

Chinese Imagined Community Essay
The Chinese Canadian experience during the 19th and 20th centuries provides a classic example of
history s role in the nation making process, the creation of an imagined community (Stanley 477).
The anti Asian exclusion era (1880s to 1940s) in Canada played a pivotal role in the emergence of
the Chinese identity. Benedict Anderson describes the imagined community as a community that is
built through emotional ties with one another. Anderson states that the community is imagined
because the members of even the smallest nation will never know most of their fellow members,
meet them, or even hear of them, yet in the minds of each lives the image of their communion,
(Anderson 1991). With this said, Chinese Canadians felt a strong... Show more content on

This labour was in high demand because Canadian and American capitalists were eager to find the
most inexpensive solution (Spencer 21). However, things changed when the white European
population of Canada heard rumours that Chinese immigrants were taking over whole industries in
California, such as the shoe making industry and cigar manufacturing industries (Spencer 22). Fear
of continuous growth in Chinese labourers, the Canadian government implemented several anti
Asian laws including the Chinese Head Tax of 1885 and the Chinese Exclusion Act of 1923. First
these laws were intended to restrict the amount of Chinese immigrants coming into Canada,
however eventually the laws were changed to stop Chinese immigration in its entirety. Laws that
openly discriminated against Chinese immigrants led public opinion to see Chinese immigrants as
an alien race that did not belong within Canada(Stanley 486). The Canadian press also played a
huge role in marking Chinese immigrants as alien. In 1882, the Toronto based journal the Trades
Union Advocate/Wage Worker noted, the Chinese are a vile race. It is recorded in one locality in
China they recently destroyed 80 percent of their children...merely because they were girls,
(Spencer 23). By depicting the Chinese as a vile race the Canadian population became disillusioned
towards Chinese immigrants. These strong feelings of explicit racism and discrimination

Analysis Of Mackintosh s Approach Of Treating Cognitive...
Since radical behaviourists first described learning theory, it has undergone a significant change of
approach. In the paper Has the Wheel Turned Full Circle? Fifty Years of Learning Theory, 1946
1996 , Mackintosh (1997) summarises what has been done in the field of learning theory since
1946. His main argument relates to the importance of the associative learningtheory. He claims that
with appropriate modifications, it is the most powerful approach that science has.
In the presented review, I aim to critically discuss this paper. I start with criticising Mackintosh s
approach of treating cognitive and associative processes as two distinct. Then, I examine
Mackintosh s point of view on animal learning. I conclude that Machintosh s (1997) main claim
about the importance of the associative learning is supported by subsequent research. Nevertheless,
it is important not to neglect either associative, or cognitive approach, because they are not
fundamentally different, and, at least in humans, both of them play a significant role.
Cognitive versus associative approaches to learning
Mackintosh (1997) starts his paper with a critique of radical behaviourism. In the 1960s, Pavlovian
and Instrumental conditionings were main theories to explain animal and human behaviour.
However, with cognitivism coming into the picture, learning theory has dramatically improved.
Animal theorists started paying more attention to animal cognition, and nothing but well came from
it, as researchers

Individualism In Brave New World
COMMUNITY, IDENTITY, STABILITY is the motto the citizens of the World State adhere to. The
motto stresses the need for everyone to work together, and discourages individualism. Their society
believes that when an individual feels, the community reels , meaning when an individual begins to
feel real emotion, society behaves in a disorderly manner. When one longs to achieve happiness and
meaningfulness, they may abandon everything they know in the pursuit of discovering their
passion. In this pursuit one may encounter a cultural conflict that is hazardous to themselves and
society, thus creating disorder in the world in which they call their home. In Brave New World,

Essay On Concealed Carry Permits
Concealed Carry Permits in The United States
In most recent years one of the biggest political arguments has been about firearms. When talking
about firearms, both sides can get very into the disagreement and emotional on the subject. With the
increasing amounts of mass shootings, this topic has been in mainstream media and talked about
largely for the better half of the last six years. When it comes to the argument the Democratic party
stands on stronger gun laws that will lead to more regulations and less gun sales, while the
Republican party leans the other way with less regulation and more legal gun owners. The
democrats say that the less guns on the street, the less gun violent related crimes. On the other hand

Many feared the laws that could have been put in place. In eleven states at least 10 percent of the
adults possess carry permits (French). The total in the last two years has also taken a large jump
from 12.8 million to 16.36 million Americans with carry permits. This number is also not 100%
accurate considering the fact that 14 states have passed laws stating that you do not need a permit
to carry a firearm. This will increase the total number of Americans carrying firearms, but there is
no way of telling because there is not an official listing. With the increase in concealed carry
permits, there has also been a large increase in firearm sales. From 2008 to 2011, there were
about 14 million firearms sold in the United States, while over 20 million were sold between
2012 and 2013, and about a quarter were sold to first time buyers (Howell). With the number of
first time buyers on the rise it shows that the United States is leaning towards a more right look at
firearms. A 2000 Gallup Poll found that 35 percent of Americans thought that owning a gun made
their home safer. By 2014 that number soared to 63 percent (Howell). This goes hand and hand
with the increase of firearm sales and concealed carry permits. The change when a person starts
carrying a gun is they, No longer are they a protectee. They re suddenly and substantially less
dependent (French) and start to lean towards the protector role. The rise in

Louise Erdrich The Leap
The short story The Leap by Louise Erdrich implies that sometimes leaps and risks need to be
taken. The narrator starts off the story focusing on her blind mother, who was a circus
performer, and then begins to realize how her mother had always taken risks in her life. The
narrator recalls stories of her mother taking leaps and risks. For example, one day when her
mother was working as part of a trapeze act in a circus show, a freak lightning bolt struck the tent
pole during a performance. Unfortunately, her mother s hands did not meet her husband s, so she
took off her blindfold and, instead of latching on to her husband and leading herself to her death,
she changed direction, twisted towards a heavy wire and . . . managed to hang on

All good things must come to an end , said Tara, those were the last words of the book she just

mysterious adventures in the Great Pyramid of Giza, on the banks of Nile River. Tara was just
about to close the book and go to bed, for it was almost midnight, but at the very moment when the
girl touched the cover of the book the most unpredictable thing happened. Weird, greenish mist

head to feet hovering over Tara. A mummy , Tara murmured as silently as possible, but that s
impossible to happen . But the thing was it was possible. She was just staring at the four
thousand years old dead body of a pharaoh, the representer of God on earth. Then, the mummy
started to outstretch its arms, trying to grab her. Tara did not scream, nor she stepped aside she
was as if in a kind of a trance. And suddenly, Awake you, silly girl! Do whatever is possible to

Essay On Death Of Iran
The first 24 hours in Iran are crucial when a person dies In Iran. It is believed that a person
should be buried within the first 24 hours if the family does not want to be cursed. If the person
dies during the days they are taken to special places where the body is washed and wrapped in
white cloth. The white cloth should be of kafan, which is a special cloth but due to its high
price, now its only white cloth. Before they are warped with the kafan they warp the legs from
belly button down, cover the eyes, and breasts if female. After the body is wrapped they should

In ancient times there was segregation in funerals where females could not attend the funerals of
their male relatives, but modern Iranians don t do this unless extremely traditional. Dressing in
black for the funeral is important for close relatives, and they should wear black for at least 40
days some last even a year. To stop wearing black an elderly in the family must change colors
signaling the end of the mourn. The time of day is important for someone who died if the person
dies during the day they are taken to the local mosque to be cleaned and prepared for burial but if
the person dies during the night lights and candles are placed around the deceased because they
believe that the body should not be left in darkness for evil spirits to attack it. Burial sites cannot
be shared with non Muslim cemeteries. The excessive cost of grave sites has forced family
members to be buried on top of each other. Before pacing the body into the grave, the coffin is
placed on the ground three times and lifted their times and on the fourth attempt is finally placed
on the grave. A gravedigger or a member of the family is on the pit positioned to place the body
according to religious prescriptions, the deceased is placed on the right side facing Mecca, the
face should be exposed and part of the kafan placed under the head where a brick is placed. The
gravestones most often contain verses from the Quran. If there is no gravestone, the grave top

The War Of The American Civil War
When the American Civil War began in the spring of 1861, those flocking to enlistment stations
in states both north and south chiefly defined their cause as one of preservation. From Maine to
Minnesota, young men joined up to preserve the Union. From Virginia to Texas, their future foes
on the battlefield enlisted to preserve a social order, a social order at its core built on the
institution of slavery and racial superiority . Secession had not been framed by prominent
Southerners like Robert Toombs as a defensive measure to retain the fruits of the revolution
against King George, a fight against those who sought to intrique insurrection with all its nameless
horrors. (Toombs Speech) On January 1, 1863, when Lincoln s Emancipation Proclamation went
into effect the war became a revolution. The Union, the soldiers in blue fought to preserve could
no longer exist. On every mile of soil, they would return to the Stars and Stripes from that moment
on, the fabric of society would be irrevocably changed. In May of 1865, with the abolition of
slavery engrained into the Constitution with the passage of the 13th Amendment, the Confederate
armies of Lee and Johnston disbanded, and Lincoln dead of an assassin s bullet; this change was
the only certainty the torn fabric of the newly reunited states was left to be resown. Andrew
Johnson and Southern Democrats believed the revolution of 1863 had gone far enough. Radical

Lord Raglan s Influence On The Battle Of Balaclava
Not though the soldier knew, someone had blundered. Thiers not to make reply, thiers not to
reason why, thiers but to do and die. Lord Tennyson wrote the last sentence as part of a larger
poetic tribute to the courage of those who made a particular charge during the battle of Balaclava.
This essay is to address the Mission Command principles of Lord Raglan, and how as commander
he influenced the Battle of Balaclava. Lord Raglan s most notable impacts on the Battle of
Balaclava was not building subordinate commanders into a cohesive team, oversimplification of
using mission orders, failure to provide a clear commander s intent, and not creating a shared
understanding. The Battle of Balaclava itself was part of the Crimean Warwith the allied nations of
Britain, France, and the Ottoman Empire fighting the Russian Empire. The Battle of Balaclava
took place on 25 October, 1854 and was part of a larger operation to seize the Port of Sevastopol.
Lord Raglan, who was born Fitzroy Sunrierset, was the commander of all British forces, and
General Liprandi commanded the Russian army. The battle took place on the far, fight flank of the

Geochemical Tracers Essay
4.2 Geochemical tracers
Due to recent advances in both quick analytical techniques for large numbers of samples and
numerical source apportioning models that allow a more detailed and quantitative understanding of
the uncertainty associated with estimated results, the geochemical tracers are extensively used in
recent sediment fingerprinting studies (Franz et al. 2013; Grimes et al. 2007). Such as rare earth
elements (REE; e.g., La, Ce, Pr, Nd, Sm, Eu, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb and Lu), major
elements (e.g., Fe, K, Na, Al, Ca and Mg) and trace elements (e.g., As, Ba, Co, Cr, Cs, Hf, Sc, Ta,
Ti, Th and Zr), in both source soil and sediment samples, have been used in sediment fingerprinting
studies (Horowitz et al. 2012; Hughes et al. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Natural geogenic REE signatures sometimes may be a potential proxy for identifying lacustrine
sediment sources and soil erosion rates (Wen et al. 2014). Though REEs has many advantages,
owning its relatively high cost, REEs have not been extensively used.
There are three approaches that can account for potential differences in sediment geochemistry
relating to particle size and mineralogy. One commonly used way of normalization is to use
measured bulk concentrations in the total sediment sample to account for differences in sediment
geochemistry. The diluting effects of non reactive constitutes (e.g., coarse sediment, quartz and
feldspar grains) can be removed. The second way of normalization is to divide the concentration of
the potential tracer by the concentration of the conservative element (e.g., Al, Ti and Li). The third
method is to incorporate a correction factor into the mixing model (Collins et al. 1998). Moreover,
the geochemical tracer method can also be applied to contemporary and historic sedimentary
deposits for reconstructing temporal changes in sediment provenance at the catchment scale
(Thevenon et al. 2013).
4.3 Radionuclides
Atmospheric fallout radionuclides(FRN), such as 7Be, 10Be, 137Cs, 210Pb, 239Pu and 240Pu,
effectively tag surface sediments and the concentration declines markedly with depth and are
preferentially absorbed to clay minerals and organic matter due to their high specific surface area
which renders them chemically

The Medical Promise Of Embryonic Stem Cells
The Medical Promise of Embryonic Stem Cells
Why should people suffer from diabetes, Alzheimer s, sickle cell anemia, leukemia, and plenty of
other degenerative diseases while the cure lies in our hands? After James Thompson, a
developmental biologist, reported that he had derived the first human embryonic stem cell line
(Thomson), the potential of curing degenerative diseases was revealed. Ph.D. holder and deputy
director of FDA s office of Cellular, Tissue and Gene Therapies, Stephanie Simek, explains that
stem cells are unspecialized cells (qtd. in FDA Warns About Stem Cell Claims ). In other words,
since they are unspecialized cells, they can ...generate lots of cells and, under the right conditions,

The process when stem cells give rise to blood cells, or any other specialized cells, is called
differentiation ( Stem Cell Basics ). Stem Cells ability of differentiation can be targeted and
directed to generate tissue and therefore to cure degenerative diseases (Panno 24 28). However,
such medical promise faces the doubts and gives rise to disputes. In fact, federal funds for stem cell
research were banned under President Bush s administration, but the ban was then lifted by
President Obama s administration (Obama). Despite the different arguments, more medical trials
should be conducted with embryonic stem cells in order to determine whether the medical promise
is applicable or far fetched.
Richard Doeflinger, an official with the National Conference of Catholic Bishops, argues that we
must not sacrifice one class of human being to benefit another (qtd. in Stem Cells ). However,
ignoring the medical promise of embryonic stem cells would end up sacrificing real, living
human beings for microscopic cells. Jean Peduzzi Nelson, the author of Adult Stem Cells Are
Already Curing Diseases , argues that unlike embryonic stem cells, adult stem cells have already
cured diseases. To support his argument, Nelson narrates the story of Joe Davis Jr. who suffered
from a severe sickle cell anemia since birth. According to Nelson, At the age of two, Joe received
an adult stem cell transplant; the adult stem

Brief Summary Of The Novel The Wars By Robert Ross
Generally it is noticed or said that innocent or hurt people can feel the pain of everyone even
animals and/plants. Likewise this novel revolves around Robert Ross; a protagonist in the novel
the wars , who is innocent and cares for animals. He joins the Canadian army at the age of
nineteen to avoid the guilt of his sister Rowena s tragic death following the slaughter of her
beloved rabbits.
When we talk about wars we mean it as a conflict between two forces, states or nations. Similarly,
this novel also holds the theme of World WarI (fight between French/English with Germans
/Italians) where Robert as an army officer fights the war. Simultaneously, in the morphological way
he is fighting the battle of his own moralities (fighting his inner conflicts; doing the right or ... Show

The war does not only leaves physical lifetime scars on a soldier but also mental scars which
could remain with him for lifetime. We can say that the person who suffers the most is the
soldier because he is the one who goes through continuous pain. After seeing so much destruction
the soldiers go insane, they go through mental illness and psychological trauma, they try to
attempt suicide, they get flashbacks of those disastrous events that stops them to live a normal
life after. We re all strange, Robert thought. Everyone is strange in a war I guess. Ordinary is a
myth (Findley 101). As the wars are so anxious soldiers fight for days, weeks and months
without sleeping, eating, bathing; they lack basic nessecties of life. As Robert states, All he
[Robert] wanted was a dream. Escape. But nobody dreams on a battlefield. There isn t any sleep
that long. Dreams and distances are the same ( Findley 102) a soldier cannot fall asleep because
of the terror and stressful conditions but if he does he could get killed. they do not live a regular

Christmas in Spain
In America during the month of December, most people will go and pick out a Christmas tree,
string lights on its branches, listen to music about the holidays, and decorate their houses with little
toys and ceramics representing Saint Nicholas. A fictional character that as children we are told
will bring presents the night of Christmas if we behave throughout the year. But what about in other
countries? What sort of holidays do they rejoice at when the thought of the birth Christ passes their
mind? In Spain during the evening of December 24th, commonly known as Christmas Eve, many
citizens go to Midnight Mass. Bells are rung at midnight to signal to families that it is time to
attend La Misa Del Gallo , which translates to The Mass of the Rooster. The name originates from
the thought that the only night a rooster crowed at midnight was the night that Jesus was born.
Going to this Mass is a tradition for most families living in Spain. Prior to this, most families eat
their Christmas dinner. A traditional dinner would be Pavo Trufado de Navidad . This is a

Reflection On The Team Process
Through reflection on the team process I have become aware of useful strategies to deal with

Introduction Within the telecommunications industry, everything ranging from television to
internet services continues to face evolving and transformational changes more often than other
industries such as services. It should come to no surprise given the advances in technologies across
the globe, that an industry that is heavily technological based should also follow suit. This allows
for both old and new organizations to tap in the growth of both the human and technological capital
to bring about revolutionary changes in the telecommunicationsworld. For example, the introduction

Essay on Performing Dark Arts
In comparison to text based performances, those of a non text based nature can illustrate the unity
between cultures with less difficulty due to universally understood practices and semiotics in an
increasingly globalised world. Non text based performances provide both beneficial and critical
elements when compared to text based performances and this will be analysed and demonstrated
with the example of performing the dark arts . The will ensue performances of ritualised purposes,

As the performance of illusion and secular magic does so already. Secular magic, being of a non
text based nature does not, as previously mentioned, follow such rigid performance boundaries as
text based performances that stem from plays or scripts, for instance. A dramatic text can often
represent eras, time periods or a social or political message that can be taken in reference to that
era or time. Not to say that non text based performances do not, but somehow non text based
performances can seem a little more lenient when it comes to the recreation of an event. Often
with classic work, such as that of Shakespeare or Ibsen, it is a sensitive area when modernising
such texts or even conveying them in a non westernised setting as contextual elements of the
original work can be lost. Similarly there are linguistic barriers with such texts as different
translations can blur the effect of the original dialogue. Yet, if there is no translation at all then
there is an obvious language barrier for those reading or viewing a performance. Simon During

Decriminalization Of Marijuana Essay
Cannabis or better known as Marijuana, is one of the oldest psychoactive elements used by
man. Marijuana is also known as weed, pot, ganja, Maryjane, and countless other nicknames. A
little history on marijuana is that it is made from the cannabis plant which can grow up to
sixteen feet tall and likely originates in Central Asia. There are hundreds of compounds in
Marijuana but tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC is believed to be the cause of it psychoactive
effects. The high that people get comes from the THC binding to brain regions responsible for
pleasure, time perception and pain. This plant was first brought to America in the 1800s used for
medicinal purposes as an extract and which was popular during that time. But it soon was
discovered by Mexican who began to smoke it and shortly after it fueled the marijuana prohibition
and by the 1930s marijuana was banned in twenty four states. By 1937 congress passed the
Marijuana Tax Act, which effectively banned marijuana except for a few medicinal purposes. Fast
forward to this present day and time and we will see how things have changed with Cannabisand

Analysis Of The Movie Old News By Deborah Miranda Essay
Erasure. Imagine having almost every detail of your life your beliefs, your family, your culture,
and success erased by those only focused on their own personal gain. That is what happened to
Native Americans over the course of American history. Due to the settler colonialism that laid the
foundation of our nation, many Native Americans became the victims of horrific abuse and
discrimination. As whiteness became the ideal in society, Native Americans lost their voices and
the ability to stand up for themselves. Through her memoir, Bad Indians, Deborah Miranda reveals
the truth of the horrific pasts of California Native Americans, and gives her ancestors stories a
chance to finally be heard. In the section Old News , Deborah Miranda writes poems from the
white man s perspective to show the violent racismcommitted against Native Americans, as well as
the indifference of whites to this violence.
The title for this selection of poems, Old News , reflects the theme of racism in this section of
Miranda s memoir. This title is ironic because the problems in these newspaper clips show new acts
of discrimination against Native Americans. However, the violence depicted in these poems has
been recurring for hundreds of years. Since the founding of the American colonies in the 1600s,
Native Americans have had their land, families, and sense of safety stolen from them. These
European settlers did not understand the culture and behaviors of Native Americans, and, as a

This has led us to believe that men s sports deserve more attention and funds. Title IX fixed the
funding issue but made it almost impossible to comply to. The problem with the law was its
proportionality factor. There had to be an equal number of sports and similar spending on
activities for boys and girls. A few sports that are quite expensive are available to both genders
but are dominated by men; such as football and wrestling. The cost of these programs was far
greater than the cost of many of the other sports and many argued that because the same amount
of money wasn t being spent on females sports, it violated Title IX. The rules for this scenario
became lenient because it was impossible to fix the amount of spending that is necessary for
certain sports to operate. This issue makes it almost impossible to be proportional so only 20% of
all high schools and universities are technically in compliance with Title IX requirements (New

Health Belief Model Prostate Cancer
Introduction According to Anderson and Marshall Lucette (2016), prostate cancer is the second
leading cause of deaths in developed countires with the highest incidence in diagnoses for males
worldwide. (p1046) African American men have the highest incidence of prostate cancer, with a 1
in 5 probability of getting prostate cancerwith the lowest rate of participation in prostate cancer
screening. (Sandiford D Errico, 2015, p.86) The HealthBelief Model was constructed to help
understand behavior and reasons for noncompliance with medical care and actions. Nurses and
healthcare professionals can use the information to help develop a model regarding prostate cancer
screening that will educate patients, promote health, help prevent disease... Show more content on

Educating males on the severity of prostate cancer in their culture and the importance in
screening for the condition can save many lives. It is our job, as healthcare professionals, to
provide this patient population with a means and strategy capable of reducing the prevalence of
prostate cancer. Many men are not aware but routine screening should start when one reaches
his 50 s or 40 s if he is from a high risk group or has a family history of the disease. (Sandiford, L.,
D Errico, E. 2016, p86) According to Anderson Mashall Lucette (2016), African American men are
disinclined to participate in screening programs due to fear that the digital rectal exam can lead to
homosexuality or changes in masculinity, a diagnosis may be discovered, lack of knowledge
surrounding the diagnosis and family history, socioeconomic status, changes in one s sex life, and
developing sexual or urinary dysfunction.

Strengths Of Domino
1.0.1 History of Domino s Pizza
Domino s Pizza is the second largest franchised pizza chain in U.S.A. Domino s Pizza began
from two brothers Tom Monaghan and James Monaghan. Monaghan brothers purchase
DomiNick s pizza store in Ypsilanti, Michigan. Today Domino s Pizza is more than 9000 store
around the world and more than 4500 outside U.S.A. An employee suggested a new name for
DomiNick s Pizza which is Domino s. Therefore, Monaghan renamed the business call Domino s
Pizza. The old logo of Domino s Pizza has 3 dots, a red box, and 2 blue boxes. The dots stand for a

Since many people are using Facebook the news on the latest promotion by Domino s Pizza can
be shared easily to others with just a click of the like or share button. People will be informed on
time about even the latest updates.
Other than that, Domino s Pizza can also get to know the opinion of the society on their product,
easily through Facebook when customers just leave a comment on their page. Feedbacks can be
received easily and widely from customers all over the place by the Facebook page.
Cons
As mentioned earlier, through Facebook the feedbacks can be received easily, but if it is a
negative feedback, it can affect the Domino s Pizza party badly too. Word of mouth carries a lot of
strength among the society, so if even one customer is not satisfied with Domino s Pizza service,
this could tarnish their brand reputation.
Domino s Pizza doesn t have a direct online ordering site linked to the Facebook page, so even if
any customer is interested in purchasing they won t be able to do it directly from links offered in

Ham, the Space Monkey and NASA
The Space Monkey Research Paper The Space Monkey was a good thing because it helped our
space exploration and he was the first to send an animal into space. NASA should keep exploring
space and do whatever it takes to do it even if that means an animal going through harsh training
for preparation to the next mission. The Space Monkey started a fire because it was the first animal
in space for the U.S., the training and preparation, helped NASAs space era, and people were up set
for animal cruelty. The Space Monkey was the first animal into space for the U.S. The Space
Monkey was also known as Ham , by his close friends and trainers. Then came that final day and
that everyone new Ham would make history. Ham woke up on January 31,... Show more content on

NASA failed numerous times at getting monkeys, rockets that would work, and the staff with
the knowledge of doing all of this (Animals in Space). Ham went to training like a mature person
he wouldn t get mad or not do the training he enjoyed it. His trainers said he was very friendly
and nice around people. Ham helped our space era in a big way. He was the first in space for
NASA and he was really smart. NASA knew that if Ham had survived that they would put
mankind on the moon before anyone else. NASA picked Ham because he was the closest to
human form so if something happened to him NASA would know so they could fix it if they
were to send any humans into space (Life). After the mission Ham had survived and then NASA
knew at that moment it would be possible to send humans to the moon at least, and they did.
Before sending ham into space everybody knew that this was NASA s biggest project at the
time. It also put us way ahead of the Soviet Union who at the time was our biggest and most
fierce competition. If NASA had picked a different monkey that wasn t as smart as Ham we
probably wouldn t have won the space race. Ham is the main animal that got our space era going
even better (Life). Without Ham our other smart monkeys, chimps, or even apes we wouldn t be
where we are at today in our space exploration. Ham is the one who got humans to go into space
and even the moon. Ham was the one who got us to moon

Persuasive Essay On Locavorism
Locavorism is the movement of eating locally raised, grown and produced food. Local food is
defined as food that is produced in a 100 mile radius of where it was purchased. This trend has
become a worldwide phenomenon and recognized as a potential solution to modern food production
problems in the United States. Due to the numerous benefits, Locavorism is the best solution to
solving the Unites States food problems. These benefits include increased economic support,
improved environmental care, and promotion of fair food markets.
Today nearly every aspect of society is ran by money. As a result this makes it difficult to not
discuss the economic side of something. Local eating involves essentially buying food directly
from the source. Which in turn provides money almost directly to the farmer and gives them the
ability to further improve the farm. Azeveado (6 7) cites a study done by the New Economics
Foundation within London. The study showed that at a local store the profit returned to the economy
was more than double that which was spent. So an item which cost 10 pounds returned an amount
of 25 pounds to the local economy. While studying a supermarket, the same amount of money
spent only returned 14 pounds. This research shows undeniable proof that buying local helps the
local economy. The economic increase from a large amount of people doing this could greatly
improve money problems within the United States. More money would be available for public

The Doll House and a Good Man Is Hard to Find...
Delia Tebedo
Dr. Kingsley
Intro Eng Lit
5 March 2009
Narcissistic View of Nora and Grandmother Narcissism is defined as the love of ones self.
Sigmund Freud was the first to use the word to characterize certain character traits. He got the word
from the Greek mythological legend Narcissus who saw his reflection in water and fell in love with
himself. Freud suggests that all of us have a bit of self love, but when self love goes extreme it
can be a problem and is considered a pathological problem. Nora from The Doll House, only
exuded narcissistic behavior because she was treated like a doll. She was spoiled and only thought
that that was how she was supposed to behave in order to get what she wanted or to please the men

The children convince their father to take the turn that supposedly leads to this house.
Unfortunately it ends up being the road to hell.
The long dusty dirt road ends up being the ill fated end to all their lives thanks to the grandmother.
A criminal that is on the loose happens along the dirt road. He has his cronies take each family
member into the forest and kills them. The entire time this is happening, the grandmother is trying
to talk to him out of killing them by being nice to him and trying to convince him that he is really a
good man.
Instead of grieving for the death of her family, she tries to talk him out of killing her. She even
tries to buy her own life. She seemed to care more for herself than her family. If she cared more
for them, she would have offered more for their lives. At the very end of the story it seems the
misfit got to know the grandmother very well in those few moments he spent with her. He said,
She would have been a good woman if it had been somebody there to shoot her every minute of her
life.

I am an American citizen, a retired military member with twenty three years honorable service to this country. I am a patriot, a husband, a father, and a grandfather. I have no political aspirations nor do I want any notoriety. I just want to get America back. I want her to be strong and healthy. I want her to resume her leadership role in the world. Every day when I put on my uniform, I put my life on the line. I swore an oath to support and defend the Constitution of the United Statesagainst all enemies foreign and domestic. I have never broken that oath nor will I ever. I have kept the faith with my brother Marines and sister services to defend this country at all costs. I am writing this because I am fearful about the future of our country. The path the current administration has chosen. Yet my fears go much farther back in 20th century history. The lack of attention being paid to our Constitution, and the Bill of Rights. Chinese Imagined Community Essay The Chinese Canadian experience during the 19th and 20th centuries provides a classic example of history s role in the nation making process, the creation of an imagined community (Stanley 477). The anti Asian exclusion era (1880s to 1940s) in Canada played a pivotal role in the emergence of the Chinese identity. Benedict Anderson describes the imagined community as a community that is built through emotional ties with one another. Anderson states that the community is imagined because the members of even the smallest nation will never know most of their fellow members, meet them, or even hear of them, yet in the minds of each lives the image of their communion, (Anderson 1991). With this said, Chinese Canadians felt a strong... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This labour was in high demand because Canadian and American capitalists were eager to find the most inexpensive solution (Spencer 21). However, things changed when the white European population of Canada heard rumours that Chinese immigrants were taking over whole industries in California, such as the shoe making industry and cigar manufacturing industries (Spencer 22). Fear of continuous growth in Chinese labourers, the Canadian government implemented several anti Asian laws including the Chinese Head Tax of 1885 and the Chinese Exclusion Act of 1923. First these laws were intended to restrict the amount of Chinese immigrants coming into Canada, however eventually the laws were changed to stop Chinese immigration in its entirety. Laws that openly discriminated against Chinese immigrants led public opinion to see Chinese immigrants as an alien race that did not belong within Canada(Stanley 486). The Canadian press also played a huge role in marking Chinese immigrants as alien. In 1882, the Toronto based journal the Trades Union Advocate/Wage Worker noted, the Chinese are a vile race. It is recorded in one locality in China they recently destroyed 80 percent of their children...merely because they were girls, (Spencer 23). • 5. Analysis Of Mackintosh s Approach Of Treating Cognitive... Since radical behaviourists first described learning theory, it has undergone a significant change of approach. In the paper Has the Wheel Turned Full Circle? Fifty Years of Learning Theory, 1946 1996 , Mackintosh (1997) summarises what has been done in the field of learning theory since 1946. His main argument relates to the importance of the associative learningtheory. He claims that with appropriate modifications, it is the most powerful approach that science has. In the presented review, I aim to critically discuss this paper. I start with criticising Mackintosh s approach of treating cognitive and associative processes as two distinct. Then, I examine Mackintosh s point of view on animal learning. I conclude that Machintosh s (1997) main claim about the importance of the associative learning is supported by subsequent research. Nevertheless, it is important not to neglect either associative, or cognitive approach, because they are not fundamentally different, and, at least in humans, both of them play a significant role. Cognitive versus associative approaches to learning Mackintosh (1997) starts his paper with a critique of radical behaviourism. In the 1960s, Pavlovian and Instrumental conditionings were main theories to explain animal and human behaviour. However, with cognitivism coming into the picture, learning theory has dramatically improved. Animal theorists started paying more attention to animal cognition, and nothing but well came from it, as researchers ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

When talking about firearms, both sides can get very into the disagreement and emotional on the subject. The total in the last two years has also taken a large jump from 12.8 million to 16.36 million Americans with carry permits. This number is also not 100% accurate considering the fact that 14 states have passed laws stating that you do not need a permit to carry a firearm. This will increase the total number of Americans carrying firearms, but there is no way of telling because there is not an official listing. With the increase in concealed carry permits, there has also been a large increase in firearm sales. From 2008 to 2011, there were about 14 million firearms sold in the United States, while over 20 million were sold between 2012 and 2013, and about a quarter were sold to first time buyers (Howell). With the number of first time buyers on the rise it shows that the United States is leaning towards a more right look at firearms. A 2000 Gallup Poll found that 35 percent of Americans thought that owning a gun made their home safer. By 2014 that number soared to 63 percent (Howell). From Maine to Minnesota, young men joined up to preserve the Union. Secession had not been framed by prominent Southerners like Robert Toombs as a defensive measure to retain the fruits of the revolution against King George, a fight against those who sought to intrique insurrection with all its nameless horrors. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Natural geogenic REE signatures sometimes may be a potential proxy for identifying lacustrine sediment sources and soil erosion rates (Wen et al. 2014). Though REEs has many advantages, owning its relatively high cost, REEs have not been extensively used. There are three approaches that can account for potential differences in sediment geochemistry relating to particle size and mineralogy. One commonly used way of normalization is to use measured bulk concentrations in the total sediment sample to account for differences in sediment geochemistry. The diluting effects of non reactive constitutes (e.g., coarse sediment, quartz and feldspar grains) can be removed. The second way of normalization is to divide the concentration of the potential tracer by the concentration of the conservative element (e.g., Al, Ti and Li). The third method is to incorporate a correction factor into the mixing model (Collins et al. 1998). Moreover, the geochemical tracer method can also be applied to contemporary and historic sedimentary deposits for reconstructing temporal changes in sediment provenance at the catchment scale (Thevenon et al. 2013). 4.3 Radionuclides Atmospheric fallout radionuclides(FRN), such as 7Be, 10Be, 137Cs, 210Pb, 239Pu and 240Pu, effectively tag surface sediments and the concentration declines markedly with depth and are preferentially absorbed to clay minerals and organic matter due to their high specific surface area which renders them chemically ... This allows for both old and new organizations to tap in the growth of both the human and technological capital to bring about revolutionary changes in the telecommunicationsworld. However, given this realization, the shareholder should also be a little cautious, because Comcast still faces a number of obstacles that might impede or compromise the growth of expected return when shareholders invest in their securities. As mentioned before, there s a growing number of competitors that offer different, cheaper telecommunication services that still uphold the consumer s expectations in regards of entertainment, such as streamlining content from the internet and offering the consumer the choice of preferring skinnier packages (cable/TV programming) at cheaper rates. These rising competitors will give Comcast a run for their money as consumers will switch from the traditional cable outlets, such as Comcast and Cox, in favor for a service such as Google or Sling. Another thing to take into account is the uncertainty of the FCC s decisions at imposing stronger regulations in regards to broadband width and internet connections; the Net Neutrality Act might place a hindrance on the performance of Comcast s internet ... Secular magic, being of a non text based nature does not, as previously mentioned, follow such rigid performance boundaries as text based performances that stem from plays or scripts, for instance. A dramatic text can often represent eras, time periods or a social or political message that can be taken in reference to that era or time. Not to say that non text based performances do not, but somehow non text based performances can seem a little more lenient when it comes to the recreation of an event. Often with classic work, such as that of Shakespeare or Ibsen, it is a sensitive area when modernising such texts or even conveying them in a non westernised setting as contextual elements of the original work can be lost. Similarly there are linguistic barriers with such texts as different translations can blur the effect of the original dialogue. Yet, if there is no translation at all then there is an obvious language barrier for those reading or viewing a performance. Simon During ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

There are hundreds of compounds in Marijuana but tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC is believed to be the cause of it psychoactive effects. The high that people get comes from the THC binding to brain regions responsible for pleasure, time perception and pain. Due to the settler colonialism that laid the foundation of our nation, many Native Americans became the victims of horrific abuse and discrimination. As whiteness became the ideal in society, Native Americans lost their voices and the ability to stand up for themselves. Through her memoir, Bad Indians, Deborah Miranda reveals the truth of the horrific pasts of California Native Americans, and gives her ancestors stories a chance to finally be heard.
