A Novel Approach To Detect Trustworthy Nodes Using Audit Based Scheme For WSNIJERDJOURNAL
ABSTRACT: In multi-hop ad hoc networks there exists a problem of identifying and isolating misbehaving nodes which refuses to forward packets. Audit-based Misbehavior Detection (AMD) is a comprehensive system that effectively and efficiently isolates both continuous and selective packet droppers. The AMD system integrates reputation management, trustworthy route discovery, and identification of misbehaving nodes based on behavioral audits. Compared to previous methods, AMD evaluates node behavior on a per-packet basis, without employing energy-expensive overhearing techniques or intensive acknowledgment schemes. Moreover, AMD can detect selective dropping attacks even if end-to-end traffic is encrypted and can be applied to multichannel networks or networks consisting of nodes with directional antennas. This work implements the AMD approach by considering the rushing attack. The analysis of the results confirms that AMD based method with rushing attack performs better as compared to the non rushing attack.

In MANET communication between two mobile nodes are carried out by routing protocol. In MANET each mobile node can directly communicate with other mobile node if both mobile nodes are within transmission range. Otherwise the nodes present in between have to forward the packets for them on network. dynamic and cooperative nature of ad hoc networks presents substantial challenges in securing and detecting attacks in these networks. In this paper we proposed a novel Intrusion Detection and Prevention Scheme (IDPS) for protecting network against Blackhole attack. During the attack, a malicious node captures the data after the positive reply of route existence. Routing in Ad hoc networks has been a challenging task ever since the wireless networks came into existence. In multicasting the sender and communicated with multiple receivers. The routing misbehavior in multicast ODMRP is secured by proposed scheme. The proposed IDPS scheme first to detect the malicious nodes and after that block the activities of malicious nodes. The performance of proposed scheme is evaluated through performance metrics that shows the attacker routing misbehavior and proposed security scheme is provides secure and

The exponential rise in wireless communication systems and allied applications has revitalized academiaindustries to achieve more efficient data transmission system to meet Quality-of-Service (QoS) demands. Amongst major wireless communication techniques, Mobile Ad-hoc Network (MANET) is found potential to provide decentralized and infrastructure less communication among multiple distributed nodes across network region. However, dynamic network conditions such as changing topology, congestion, packet drop, intrusion possibilities etc often make MANET’s routing a tedious task. On the other hand, mobile network feature broadens the horizon for intruders to penetrate the network and causes performance degradation. Unlike classical MANET protocols where major efforts have been made on single network parameter based routing decision, this research paper proposes a novel Elitist Genetic Algorithm (EGA) Multi-Objective Optimization assisted Network Condition Aware QoS-Routing Protocol for Mobile Ad-hoc Networks (MNCQM). Our proposed MNCQM protocol exhibits two phase implementation where at first it performs node-profiling under dynamic network topology for which three factors; irregular MAC information exchange, queuing overflow and topological variations have been considered. Towards this objective node features like Packet Forwarding Probability (PFP) at the MAC layer, Success Probability of Data Transmission (SPDT) of a neighboring node, and Probability of Successful Data Delivery (PSDD) have been obtained to estimate Node-Trustworthiness Index (NTI), which is further used to eliminate untrustworthy nodes. In the second phase of implementation, a novel Evolutionary Computing assisted nondisjoint best forwarding path selection model is developed that exploits node’s and allied link’s connectivity and availability features to identify the quasi-sub-optimal forwarding paths. EGA algorithm intends to reduce hop-counts, connectivity-loss and node or link unavailability to estimate best forwarding node. One key feature of the proposed model is dual-supplementary forwarding path selection that enables alternate path formation in case of link outage and thus avoids any iterative network discovery phase.

In Mobile ad hoc networks, due to the high packet loss rates
and frequent topological changes, the unbalanced transport
layer and reserved amount of traffic is carried out by the
network. In a QoS based routing metric for MANETs, it is
necessary to combine the minimum available bandwidth and
end-to-end delay along with the congestion around a link. In
this paper, a cross layer based multipath routing (CBMR)
protocol to improve QoS in mobile ad hoc networks to allot
weights to individual links, depending on the metrics link
quality, channel quality and end-to-end delay is developed. In
order to validate load balancing and interference between the
links using the same channel, the individual link weights are
integrated into a routing metric. Therefore, the weight value
helps the routing protocol to avoid the routing traffic through
the congested area hence the traffic is balanced and the
network capacity is improved. Then the proportion of traffic
to be routed to each neighbor is selected to execute routing
such that the weight of the node is a minimum. We also
propose an enhanced TCP congestion control mechanism for
wireless networks, based on a cross-layer scheme. By our
simulation results, the robustness of our protocol achieves
increased packet delivery ratio with reduced latency was
demonstrated.

In Mobile ad-hoc network, nodes must cooperate to achieve the routing purposes. Node misbehaviour due to selfish or malicious intention could significantly degrade the performance of MANET because most existing routing protocols in MANET are aiming at finding most efficiency path. In this paper, we propose a Two node-disjoint Routes protocol for Isolating Dropper Node in MANET (TRIDNT) to deal with misbehaviour in MANET. TRIDNT allows some degree of selfishness to give an incentive to the selfish nodes to declare itself to its neighbours, which reduce the misbehaving nodes searching time. In TRIDNT two node-disjoint routes between the source and destination are selected based on their trust values. We use both DLL-ACK and end-to-end TCP-ACK to monitor the behaviour of routing path nodes: if a malicious behaviour is detected then the path searching tool starts to identify the malicious nodes and isolate them. Finally by using a mathematical analysis we find that our proposed protocol reduces the searching time of malicious nodes comparing to the route expected life time, and avoids the isolated misbehaving node from sharing in all future routes, which improve the overall network throughput.

Abstract
The paper discusses the voltage control of a critical load bus using dynamic voltage restorer (DVR) in a distribution system. The critical load requires a balanced sinusoidal waveform across its terminals preferably at system nominal frequency of 50Hz .It is assumed that the frequency of the supply voltage can be varied and it is different from the system nominal frequency. The DVR is operated such that it holds the voltage across critical load bus terminals constant at system nominal frequency irrespective of the frequency of the source voltage. In case of a frequency mismatch, the total real power requirement of the critical load bus has to be supplied by the DVR. Proposed method used to compensate for frequency variation, the DC link of the DVR is supplied through an uncontrolled rectifier that provides a path for the real power required by the critical load to flow .A simple frequency estimation technique is discussed which are Discrete Fourier transform (DFT), ANN controller. The present work study the compensation principle and different control strategies of DVR used here are based on DFT, and ANN Controller .Through detailed analysis and simulation studies using MATLAB. It is shown that the voltage is completely controlled across the critical load.

Abstract Physical layer security can be considered to solve the security problem from the point of view of information theory in wireless networks. The combination of cryptographic schemes with channel coding techniques is called for in the basic principle of information-theoretic security. Due to the presence of one or more eavesdropper in wireless relay networks, secrecy of communication is in jeopardy. For such a scenario secrecy rate of the network provide a good measure of performance of the system. In this paper our focus is on secrecy capacity and its optimization with appropriate weight designs of relays taking into consideration the channels through which the eavesdroppers are connected to the relays. We propose the AF and DF based optimal beam forming scheme to improve the wireless security against eavesdropping attack by detecting and removing the eavesdroppers from the wireless relay networks and thus finding measures to maximize the efficiency, response time and the throughput of the system It includes an auto-regression technique as first approach and the use of RC6 algorithm for encrypting the confidential messages. The scheme is a two way approach that will not only provides security to the confidential messages, to be communicated within a wireless relay network in presence of multiple relays and eavesdroppers, but also it will deal with the saving the consumed power by detecting and removing the nodes which are malicious or defected which in turn will consume more power in order to perform malicious activity on the messages or may try to create interferences in the network. The eavesdropper nodes in the proposed system are considered to be working as relays so it may either be connected to source or destination directly or in between the relays. Mobile ad hoc network is a reconfigurable network of mobile nodes connected by multi-hop wireless links and capable of operating without any fixed infrastructure support. In order to facilitate communication within such self-creating, self-organizing and self administrating network, a dynamic routing protocol is needed. The primary goal of such an ad hoc network routing protocol is to discover and establish a correct and efficient route between a pair of nodes so that messages may be delivered in a timely manner. Route construction should be done with a minimum of overhead and bandwidth consumption. This paper examines two routing protocols, both on-demand source routing, for mobile ad hoc networks– the Dynamic Source Routing (DSR), an flat architecture based and the Cluster Based Routing Protocol (CBRP), a cluster architecture based and evaluates both routing protocols in terms of packet delivery fraction, normalized routing load, average end to end delay, throughput by varying number of nodes per sq. km, traffic sources and mobility. Simulation results show that in high
mobility (pause time 0s) scenarios, CBRP outperforms DSR. CBRP scales well with increasing number of nodes.

A wireless ad-hoc network is a collection of nodes which are selfconfiguring,
connected by wireless links. The nodes are free to move randomly and
organize themselves arbitrarily; thus, the network's topology may change rapidly and
unpredictably. These kinds of networks are very flexible and they do not require any
existing infrastructure. Therefore, ad-hoc wireless networks are suitable for temporary
communication links. The biggest challenge in these kinds of networks is to find a path
between the communication end points of nodes that are mobile. Due to the limited
transmission range of wireless interfaces, the communication traffic has to be relayed
over several intermediate nodes to enable the communication between two nodes.
Therefore, these kinds of networks are also called multi-hop ad-hoc networks. The
proposed model is designed to improve the problems of real-time event-based
communication. It improves the packet delivery ratio by prior prediction and reduces
end-to-end packet delay. This in turn improves performance of the routing process
significantly and increases the Quality of Service (QoS).

In this paper mainly focused on Mac layer because this layer is most important for the data communication using control the packet loss and we worked on the comparison based performance of wimax802.16 and wireless802.11 networks using Ad hoc on- demand Distance Vector Routing Protocol and Dynamic Source Routing Protocol. In this paper we used the different maximum speed for the network. And this comparison based on unicast On-demand routing procedure and our simulation for mobile ad hoc networks discover and maintain only needed the design and follows the idea that each node by sending routing packets whenever a communication is requested and compared various parameter packet delivery ratio, normalized routing load and e-e delay. These simulations are carried out using the Network simulator version-2. The results presented in this work illustrate the importance in carefully evaluating and implementing routing protocols in an ad hoc environment.

In order to facilitate communication within such self-creating, self-organizing and self administrating network, a dynamic routing protocol is needed. The primary goal of such an ad hoc network routing protocol is to discover and establish a correct and efficient route between a pair of nodes so that messages may be delivered in a timely manner. Route construction should be done with a minimum of overhead and bandwidth consumption. This paper examines two routing protocols, both on-demand source routing, for mobile ad hoc networks– the Dynamic Source Routing (DSR), an flat architecture based and the Cluster Based Routing Protocol (CBRP), a cluster architecture based and evaluates both routing protocols in terms of packet delivery fraction, normalized routing load, average end to end delay, throughput by varying number of nodes per sq. km, traffic sources and mobility. Simulation results show that in high
mobility (pause time 0s) scenarios, CBRP outperforms DSR. CBRP scales well with increasing number of nodes.

EFFICIENT PACKET DELIVERY APPROACH FOR ADHOC WIRELESS NETWORKS cscpconf
A wireless ad-hoc network is a collection of nodes which are selfconfiguring,
connected by wireless links. The nodes are free to move randomly and
organize themselves arbitrarily; thus, the network's topology may change rapidly and
unpredictably. These kinds of networks are very flexible and they do not require any
existing infrastructure. Therefore, ad-hoc wireless networks are suitable for temporary
communication links. The biggest challenge in these kinds of networks is to find a path
between the communication end points of nodes that are mobile. Due to the limited
transmission range of wireless interfaces, the communication traffic has to be relayed
over several intermediate nodes to enable the communication between two nodes.
Therefore, these kinds of networks are also called multi-hop ad-hoc networks. The
proposed model is designed to improve the problems of real-time event-based
communication. It improves the packet delivery ratio by prior prediction and reduces
end-to-end packet delay. This in turn improves performance of the routing process
significantly and increases the Quality of Service (QoS).

Every node operates as an end system and as a router to forward packets. In this paper mainly focused on Mac layer because this layer is most important for the data communication using control the packet loss and we worked on the comparison based performance of wimax802.16 and wireless802.11 networks using Ad hoc on- demand Distance Vector Routing Protocol and Dynamic Source Routing Protocol. In this paper we used the different maximum speed for the network. And this comparison based on unicast On-demand routing procedure and our simulation for mobile ad hoc networks discover and maintain only needed the design and follows the idea that each node by sending routing packets whenever a communication is requested and compared various parameter packet delivery ratio, normalized routing load and e-e delay. These simulations are carried out using the Network simulator version-2. The results presented in this work illustrate the importance in carefully evaluating and implementing routing protocols in an ad hoc environment.

Peer-to-Peer (P2P) overlay networks wide adoption has also created vast dangers due to the millions of users who are not conversant with the potential security risks. Lack of centralized control creates great risks to the P2P systems. This is mainly due to the inability to implement proper authentication approaches for threat management. The best possible solutions, however, include encryption, utilization of administration, implementing cryptographic protocols, avoiding personal file sharing, and unauthorized downloads. Recently a new non-DHT based structured P2P system is very suitable for designing secured communication protocols. This approach is based on Linear Diophantine Equation (LDE) [1]. The P2P architectures based on this protocol offer simplified methods to integrate symmetric and asymmetric cryptographies’ solutions into the P2P architecture with no need of utilizing Transport Layer Security (TLS), and its predecessor, Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocols.

The increasing interest in Peer-to-Peer systems (such as Gnutella) has inspired many research activities
in this area. Although many demonstrations have been performed that show that the performance of a
Peer-to-Peer system is highly dependent on the underlying network characteristics, much of the
evaluation of Peer-to-Peer proposals has used simplified models that fail to include a detailed model of
the underlying network. This can be largely attributed to the complexity in experimenting with a scalable
Peer-to-Peer system simulator built on top of a scalable network simulator. A major problem of
unstructured P2P systems is their heavy network traffic. In Peer-to-Peer context, a challenging problem
is how to find the appropriate peer to deal with a given query without overly consuming bandwidth?
Different methods proposed routing strategies of queries taking into account the P2P network at hand.
This paper considers an unstructured P2P system based on an organization of peers around Super-Peers
that are connected to Super-Super-Peer according to their semantic domains; in addition to integrating
Decision Trees in P2P architectures to produce Query-Suitable Super-Peers, representing a community
of peers where one among them is able to answer the given query. By analyzing the queries log file, a
predictive model that avoids flooding queries in the P2P network is constructed after predicting the
appropriate Super-Peer, and hence the peer to answer the query. A challenging problem in a schemabased Peer-to-Peer (P2P) system is how to locate peers that are relevant to a given query. In this paper,
architecture, based on (Super-)Peers is proposed, focusing on query routing. The approach to be
implemented, groups together (Super-)Peers that have similar interests for an efficient query routing
method. In such groups, called Super-Super-Peers (SSP), Super-Peers submit queries that are often
processed by members of this group. A SSP is a specific Super-Peer which contains knowledge about: 1.
its Super-Peers and 2. The other SSP. Knowledge is extracted by using data mining techniques (e.g.
Decision Tree algorithms) starting from queries of peers that transit on the network. The advantage of
this distributed knowledge is that, it avoids making semantic mapping between heterogeneous data
sources owned by (Super-)Peers, each time the system decides to route query to other (Super-) Peers.
The set of SSP improves the robustness in queries routing mechanism, and the scalability in P2P
Network. Compared with a baseline approach,the proposal architecture shows the effect of the data
mining with better performance in respect to response time and precision.

has been implemented, tested and evaluated through a series of real experiments powered across the
BonFIRE infrastructure

CONCLUSION
Allowing peers of a formless P2P content
