The document presents TRIDNT, a trust-based routing protocol designed for mobile ad-hoc networks (MANETs) that addresses node misbehavior due to selfish or malicious intentions. TRIDNT establishes two node-disjoint routes based on trust values and allows controlled degrees of node selfishness to incentivize cooperation while isolating misbehaving nodes when detected. The proposed protocol aims to enhance overall network throughput by efficiently managing node behaviors and reducing the detection time of malicious activities.
