This document presents a case study analyzing the S-curve of a construction project. The original S-curve planning projected slow initial progress and too steep of a growth stage, leaving no time for commissioning. Three adjustment orders were made over time to extend deadlines and add scope, shifting the S-curve closer to the ideal model. Analysis of monthly progress reports and the actual S-curve showed the need for iterative changes to smoothing the performance path and successfully complete the project. S-curve monitoring is presented as an effective project management tool for evaluating progress, identifying issues, and facilitating decisions to keep projects on track.
