Year 2

The assessments evaluate skills such as vocabulary understanding, identifying fiction/non-fiction text features, sequencing events, and making inferences. Teacher assessments will also evaluate writing skills based on an interim framework.
Phonics
The phonics screening check tests Year 1 and some Year 2 students on their ability to read 40 words, including real words and nonsense words.
