Writing assessments at the school will change in the following ways:
1. Writing will no longer be externally marked at the end of Key Stage 2.
2. The school will be moderated by OFSTED at least every 4 years to check the internal marking.
3. There is more emphasis on comparing writing performance between years.
4. The criteria for levels 3 and 4 will be less harsh based on the Ros Wilson scale.
5. Teachers will level writing using 3 or 4 pieces of work based on new assessment strands focusing on sentence structure, text organization, and composition.
