The Routes app allows users to view bus schedules, purchase tickets on their mobile device, and activate tickets offline by boarding buses even in areas without internet connectivity. This simplifies the ticket buying process and eliminates the need to carry cash or search for change. The app aims to improve the commuting experience by providing schedule and routing information. It also plans to generate revenue by handling 5% of fees from digital ticket sales to public transport operators like BMTC, replacing outdated smart card systems. The company has developed app prototypes demonstrating features like schedules, routing maps, and mobile tickets.

Taxi Booking App Development_ a comprehensive guide.pdfJPLoft Solutions
According to a study by Statista, Asia Pacific is the biggest market for taxi booking apps, with more than half of the world market by 2021. Uber is the globe's most famous Taxi Booking App Development Company, with a market share of more than 30 percent.
Through this app, commuters will now be able to see the location of the autos nearest to them and call the auto drivers directly on their personal mobile nos. and book their trip. Commuters can now be free from looking out and shouting for autos on the streets and instead have the autos provide a pick-up and drop service.
Apart from this, the application will also provide information on the estimated fare, trip distance, travel time as well as the traffic condition on the route. Getting autos will now no longer be a worry with the new OAB app.
Train tickets can now be bought anywhere, not just on the IRCTC website and app. These days, you may easily and quickly purchase train tickets using a variety of apps. This covers travel companies, apps for organizing trips, and more. The top railway ticket booking apps are listed below, so give them a look.

Epistemic Interaction - tuning interfaces to provide information for AI supportAlan Dix
Paper presented at SYNERGY workshop at AVI 2024, Genoa, Italy. 3rd June 2024
https://alandix.com/academic/papers/synergy2024-epistemic/
As machine learning integrates deeper into human-computer interactions, the concept of epistemic interaction emerges, aiming to refine these interactions to enhance system adaptability. This approach encourages minor, intentional adjustments in user behaviour to enrich the data available for system learning. This paper introduces epistemic interaction within the context of human-system communication, illustrating how deliberate interaction design can improve system understanding and adaptation. Through concrete examples, we demonstrate the potential of epistemic interaction to significantly advance human-computer interaction by leveraging intuitive human communication strategies to inform system design and functionality, offering a novel pathway for enriching user-system engagements.

It takes vision, leadership and willingness to take risks in the right proportion. Sachin Dev Duggal, co-founder of Builder.ai, has perfected the art of this balance, creating a company culture where creativity and growth are nurtured at each stage.
Neuro-symbolic is not enough, we need neuro-*semantic*Frank van Harmelen
Neuro-symbolic (NeSy) AI is on the rise. However, simply machine learning on just any symbolic structure is not sufficient to really harvest the gains of NeSy. These will only be gained when the symbolic structures have an actual semantics. I give an operational definition of semantics as “predictable inference”.
All of this illustrated with link prediction over knowledge graphs, but the argument is general.
Kubernetes & AI - Beauty and the Beast !?! @KCD Istanbul 2024Tobias Schneck
As AI technology is pushing into IT I was wondering myself, as an “infrastructure container kubernetes guy”, how get this fancy AI technology get managed from an infrastructure operational view? Is it possible to apply our lovely cloud native principals as well? What benefit’s both technologies could bring to each other?
Let me take this questions and provide you a short journey through existing deployment models and use cases for AI software. On practical examples, we discuss what cloud/on-premise strategy we may need for applying it to our own infrastructure to get it to work from an enterprise perspective. I want to give an overview about infrastructure requirements and technologies, what could be beneficial or limiting your AI use cases in an enterprise environment. An interactive Demo will give you some insides, what approaches I got already working for real.

2. Routes
• With the Routes app you can view all the information regarding the
departure and arrival time of buses in your city. You can buy the
ticket on your mobile device and activate it just before you board
your bus. Once the tickets are purchased you can use them at your
convenience and since activation does not require internet you can
use the ticket to board a bus even in places without internet
connectivity. With the Routes app we hope to change the way people
travel within cities and purchase tickets. Gone are the days of
searching for your wallet and the wasted moments finding the right
change. So you can use your smartphone to pay in a simple, secure,
and private way.
3. Our Customers
• Standing at a bus stop, waiting for the next bus to arrive can be a gruelling
experience. Commuters trying not to lose their cool and their balance while fishing in
their wallets for “exact change” in crowded city buses or ending up arguing with the
conductor is something we see on a daily basis. With Routes we hope to change all
that by providing customers with all the information they need regarding the bus
schedules and making their ticketing experience a lot better. A lot of companies have
tried to solve this problem in the past by introducing “smart cards” but have failed to
make an impact. We feel that “smart cards” are not really smart and that the solution
to the problem we are facing is not to create a new platform but to place ourselves on
a platform that has been growing exponentially. iOS and Android have created an
ecosystem that is thriving and it is very clear that the only way to solve a problem of
this magnitude is by starting on a foundation that is at least 50 times stronger than
any other platform and with Routes we want to establish that.
6. Revenue Model
• BMTC like many other public transport corporations carry over 5 million
passengers everyday. The revenue generated is approximately 4 crore
rupees/day. The operational costs have been increasing every year with an
all time high of 1.7 lakh crore rupees in the period between April - June
2014. Like other corporations BMTC have tried to use technology to solve
some of their biggest challenges like handling notes and coins and
providing bus schedules to daily commuters. They have tried to implement
smart cards like all other corporations but smart cards have failed to make
an impact. We feel smart cards (our would be competitors) are not solving
this monster of a problem and their technology is outdated. We believe
technology must always follow a curve that is steep and up towards the right
as we see in the graph in the following slide.
10. • We believe our mobile application Routes can solve this problem and since we are
placing ourselves in an ecosystem that is thriving, our timing could not have been
better.
• Our revenue model is quite simple. We provide the technology to these corporations
and handle operations such as providing live information of the arrival and departure
timings of buses to users and making mobile ticketing as the primary medium for
passengers to buy tickets, passes etc. We charge upto 5% of the revenue that we
generate through our application via mobile ticketing. Passengers will use digital
currency as a mode of payment and will make their payments without paying anything
extra. We only charge the transport corporations for the technology that we provide.
• With the data that we collect regarding passenger travelling details corporations can
benefit immensely and plan their operations and future implementations with a lot of
information and statistics.
11. Product Development
• We have developed a prototype for our application that features
various functionalities like bus schedules and path finder and have
successfully tested the live ticket format that we feel will form the
core of our project.
• We have screenshots of some of the features that we have
developed in the prototype and we can’t wait to show a demo of our
application
• A few screenshots of what we hope to showcase through this
presentation have been attached in the following slides
