Roman Empire Essay
Crafting an essay on the topic of the Roman Empire can be both challenging and fascinating.
The difficulty lies not only in the vast expanse of historical events, figures, and cultural nuances
that one must navigate but also in the need to synthesize this information into a coherent and
engaging narrative. The Roman Empire, spanning centuries and encompassing a multitude of
regions, presents a rich tapestry of political, social, and economic complexities.
Researching this topic requires delving into a wide array of primary and secondary sources,
ranging from ancient texts and inscriptions to modern historical analyses. The challenge is to sift
through this wealth of information, discerning relevant details, and identifying overarching
themes that contribute to a comprehensive understanding of the subject.
Moreover, constructing a compelling essay involves not only presenting factual information but
also weaving a narrative that captures the reader's attention. Conveying the significance of key
events, personalities, and societal shifts requires a delicate balance between providing sufficient
detail and maintaining a cohesive structure. One must grapple with the task of bringing historical
characters to life, exploring their motivations, and analyzing the consequences of their actions.
The essay should also address the historiographical debates surrounding the Roman Empire,
reflecting an awareness of differing interpretations among scholars. This demands critical
thinking and the ability to evaluate conflicting perspectives, adding another layer of complexity
to the writing process.
In conclusion, tackling an essay on the Roman Empire necessitates a nuanced understanding of
history, a keen analytical mindset, and adept writing skills. However, for those seeking assistance
or looking to explore similar topics in greater depth, various resources are available, including
online platforms like HelpWriting.net, where one can find expertly crafted essays and a range

A Report On Telus Corporation
This first work term was done at Telus Corporation (also known as TELUS), one of
the three major telecommunications companies operating in Canada. The duration of
the work term was spent working in the Enterprise Architecture department as a
Technology Architecture Assistant, and working with the Wireless Development
team as a temporary Software Tester. Working as a Technology Architecture Assistant,
main responsibilities included the managing of the content within an internal
department SharePoint site, aiding with the relaunching of a database
synchronization process, and the updating of charts report documents for the end of
the first quarter. First, the co op student was required to familiarize themselves with
all the documents and lists present on the internal department SharePoint site, and
propose content which should be deleted or archived due to no longer being
relevant. By the end of the term, a means of identifying content to clean up was
derived, and the actual action of deletion and archiving was carried out. Secondly,
the student was required to studying a pre existing synchronization process that
previously took place in Microsoft Access which synchronized the contents of an
external database with a list in SharePoint. Since the synchronization process had
stopped working prior to the arrival of the co op student, the student was required to
find a means to reproduce a working version of the process. The third major task, the
updating of charts and reports,
The First Amendment Essay
The First Amendment
The 1st Amendment forbids Congress from enacting laws that would regulate
speech or press before publication or punish after publication. At various times
many states passed laws in contradiction to the freedoms guaranteed in the 1st
Amendment. However broadcast has always been considered a special exemption
to free speech laws for two reasons. 1) the most important reasons is the scarcity of
spectrum and the 2) is the persuasiveness of the medium. Because radio and TV
come into the house, and may be heard or seen by unsupervised children, the
government feels a special responsibility to protect the American people. As Herbert
Hoover said to, doublegaurd them.
This is the main reason why the Federal ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

The FCCC generally do not require stations to keep the material they broadcast
except on the policy for personal attacks and political editorials. Personal attacks
occur when, during broadcast on a controversial issue, when someone attacks the
honesty, character, or integrity of a person or group. The rule states that no more
than a week after the personal attack. The station must send out the following three
things to the person or group attacked: (1) notification of the date, time, and
identification of the broadcast; (2) a tape, script or accurate summary of the attack;
and (3) an offer of a reasonable opportunity to respond on the air.
Station Identification
Stations must make identification announcements when they sign on and off for the
day. They must also make the announcements hourly, as close to the hour as possible,

Profile of Rorschach in Alan Moore s Watchmen
Who chooses our heroes? Who watches our heroes? Who watches the Watchmen?
Over the course of history, many public figures have been scrutinized for heroic
actions that some have deemed controversial. Charles Darwin dismantled theories of
Creationism with his discoveries in evolutionary biology. President Harry Truman
single handedly ended World War
II by authorizing the nuclear bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Japan, killing
thousands upon thousands of civilians. Gangster John Dillinger stole from banks all
across the U.S. Midwest in the midst of the Great Depression and was heralded by
some as a modern day Robin Hood. All of these figures share a common
characteristic concerning their heroic lore: the controversy ... Show more content on

Even after the public saw them as disturbances to the peace of the city and the
government had banned them, Rorschach continued to serve justice. Heroes will
work tirelessly to improve the greater good even when it comes at a deadly cost to
those that stand in their way. To eradicate the world of evil and corruption is heroic,
even when it jeopardizes one s well being and legacy. It is his moral absolutism that
makes Rorschach the purest hero of all the Watchmen.
To fully understand Rorschach, it is imperative to analyze the event that turned him
into the fighting vigilante that he became. During the early hours of March 13,
1964, Kitty Genovese was returning from her job at a bar when she ran into a killer
on the street a mere 100 feet from her apartment. She was repeatedly stabbed as she
yelled out to her neighbors for help; but among the thirty eight witnesses that heard
the commotion and watched the scene from their windows, not one called the police.
Kitty Genovese died from her injuries and the murder has since been thoroughly
studied in social psychology. Her extraordinary case forced the bystander effect into
the academic journals and studies of psychologists. How could there be thirty eight
witnesses to this brutal murder and not one of them informed the police? The
bystander effect states that, in stressful situations, individuals are less likely to offer
aid when there are other
Improving Gun Safety
Improving Gun Safety There has been a sizeable debate on gun control and whether
or not important political figures or public safety should address the issue. Public
safety and political figures should address this issue because the two leading causes
of death are from gun wounds and car accidents. There should be tougher gun
restrictions in the United Statesbecause guns are bought with the intent on killing
another human being, which can be justified in self defense. However, there should
be requirements that the gun owner should be licensed, trained, and have lock boxes
for their guns because children can get to them, misuse them, and actually hurt or kill
themselves and someone with them. Restricting them doesn t necessarily mean

The Casual Relationship Between Mental Health And Crime
Mental Health and Crime
It is a common misconception that there is a causal relationship between mental
illness and committing a crime. This myth is nothing more than a myth presumably
stemmed from media misrepresentation and sensationalising the rare few cases where
a criminal suffers from a severe mental illness. Mental illness is defined as a health
condition involving changes in thinking, emotion and behaviour. Mental illnesses
are linked with distress and/or problems in work or social functioning. Criminal
behaviour is any social act violating socially defined laws. Predominantly in the
case of youths, it is often done in groups. Social psychologists have come to the
conclusion that it is more than one variable that contributes to the act of committing
crimes. It takes an integrated approach to be able to begin to understand the
offender s motivation for breaking the law. Mental health issues are not a strong
factor with regards to criminal behaviour, however children who have been
diagnosed with conduct behaviour are more likely to have crime involved in their
life than children who do not have conduct disorder. In this essay I will examine the
history of mental health and crime in Ireland, the ... Show more content on

Living with a mental disorder does not make one more likely to be violent towards
others. Major determinants of violence are sociodemographic and economic factors.
Substance abuse however can lead to both violence and the development of a mental
disorder, but the mental disorder in this case is not a causal factor of being violent.
In a study of prisoners in Mountjoy Prison, it was found that eighty three inmates out
of one hundred and eight had had experience of using drugs other than cannabis. Out
of those eighty three, seventy one (77%) had used heroin. Two prisoners had suffered
from mental illnesses which had been brought on by drug use (O Mahony,
Visit At The Beautiful Colosseum
My colleague, Alison Guest, and I were assigned to travel to Rome to visit the
beautiful Colosseum where we needed to record out findings and reveal the history
of the structure. We traveled over eight hours from New York to Piazza del
Colosseo, Rome, Italy to learn about the history behind the Colosseum. Being a new
archeologist, it is mandatory to travel all over the world to cites to get a better
understanding of history. Before traveling to Rome, I knew very little of the
Colosseum. I knew it was made of cement and destroyed but I did not know much
of the history behind its creation and its destruction. Little did I know, I would fall
in love with the history and the beauty of the ancient Colosseum. Once we arrived,
the first thing you noticed was how big the Colosseum was. I never imagined how
big it could actually be. It covered six acres of land and stood at 157 feet tall.
Another leading archeologist who joined us for the trip had mentioned that took
1.1 million tons of concrete, stone and bricks to complete the whole structure. (The
Colosseum, 2002) The Colosseum was a massive structure made of stone. It has
an elliptical shape, allowing a nice view no matter where you are seated. The best
seat belonged to none other than the emperor who sat in the emperors box. The
entrances and staircase were arranged by marble and iron dividers. This was to
keep different social classes apart. ( The Colosseum:Emblem of Rome , 2011) While
taking in the the view, I was amazed
Voting Rights Act Of 1965
States have utilized their discretion over the time, place, and manner to alienate large
segments of the voting population in the pass. From the Jim Crow era literacy tests
and poll taxes, to modern day voter ID laws, representatives have attempted to
disenfranchise voters at every turn. Thought the VotingRights Act of 1965 would
have ideally rid America of these obstacles by this point, vestiges of the manipulation
remain. The passage of years has brought a large degree of uniformity to election
laws. For example, all states except Louisiana permit election by plurality in general
elections. But several key distinctions prevail, and the desire for federalism here has
created issues with suffrage. Voter ID laws are perhaps the most visible... Show more

Now, congressional districts follow no reasonable pattern or logic; districts within
states vary drastically in terms of size, shape, and similarity of socio economic
diversity. Parties controlling state legislatures have the most say in the mapping of
Congressional districts, and consequently try to draw districts up in ways that
insulate incumbents. They draw district lines to maximize the number of seats
they can win, usually by concentrating opposition voters into the same districts.
This leads to a guaranteed loss in those districts, but allows the ruling party to win
the vast majority of other districts by tight, but secure margins. The wider the
margin of victory at the national level, the more dangerous gerrymandering
becomes to Congressional districts. This was true of the elections of 1974
(Democrats picked up 49 House seats and 4 in the Senate in the wake of
Watergate), 1994 (When Republicans gained 54 House and 10 Senate seats during
the Gingrich Revolution ), and 2006 (When Democrats won 31 House and six
Senate seats). For example, in 2010, Republicans scored a sweeping victory in the
House. They ended up controlling redistricting procedures for eighteen states,
compared to Democrats six. Republicans then exploited this opportunity to shore up
some of their marginal districts by adding in favorable voters to weakening districts.
The effects shine clearly: in 2012, only
A Very Old Man With Enormous Wings Theme
A Very Old Man with Enormous Wings The story of A Very Old Man with
Enormous Wings shows that no matter how hard you try to do your best and bring
positive deeds to human life, you will always have to face the negative effects and
backlash of society. The theme is cruelty toward an angle who has fallen from the
sky and landed upon shore. The Angle showed strength in this story by staying
clam in the worst situations and taking the torcher as it came, knowing he was
their to do a good deed. It shows that even when you have nothing but good energy
inside you will always have to face the darkness at times. Would you harm a
spiritual being for your own entertainment or selfish reason, knowing they were
their to make a positive impact? The story of A Very Old Man with Enormous
Wings shows great comparison to the good an evil we all experience in this world.

angel saw that they were only trying to do for themselves and not what was ethical
in that time. When the angel landed at first his wings were dirty and he was just
bare in general but yet they seemed so magical to attract a crowd of townspeople.
The problem in this story is that people will do anything to bring on their own
selfish reason and be able to use something that should not be treated badly. The
author also quoted from the Hebrew bible to show faith in the angel and the
compassion at the end of the story when he sticks around even though he is free to

Superheroes In Fantastic Four
In Stan Lee and Jack Kirby s Fantastic Four issue one, the comic emphasizes the
significance of working together in a team, regardless of whatever personal
differences or opinions the members may have. They highlight the importance of
uniting together to achieve a common goal and being reliable within the team. These
moral characteristics were ranked highly among the children, with a significant
correlation between the children s own morals and of the Fantastic Four s (Martin
246). Young boys tend to identify themselves with superheroes, who share their main
values, which include doing what they think is right and to be counted on doing their
part in a group (Martin 247): all values that the Fantastic Four demonstrates. Through

A standard hero embodies what we believe is best in ourselves. A hero is a
standard to aspire to as well as an individual to be admired (Miczo 4). The displays
of these superheroes emerged as the characters underwent certain transformations,
experiences of growth in empathy, and turned towards the good. They uphold and
maintain the public sphere as they operate in complete freedom and for the benefit
of others. In later parts of the Spider Man series, Peter readiness to forgive and not
be bound by his past mistakes but be conditioned by it are what the Fantastic Four
also did in their first issue. They ensure a connection between their identities and
facilitate the development in the community, often adding to it and learning from
it. They provide memorable messages and have a significant influence on behavior
(Miczo 91 92, 94). It is also good to note that Spider Man s origin differs from the
Fantastic Four as it was only through the death of someone Peter cared for that
becomes the catalyst needed for his transformation to set himself on the right path
of a hero. His origin and trauma towards the guilt of the death of his uncle by the
hands of a criminal he could have stopped (seen and revealed on also page 8 and 11
of Amazing Fantasy ) at the time later conditioned him to be a responsible person
(Miczo100 101). Therefore, these character traits illustrated by these superhero
characters such as the Fantastic Four and Spider Man only adds to the positive
development of children as it nurtures and encourages the heroic narratives of justice
and the benefits of
Dental Issues Like Gum Disease
Dental issues, like gum disease, do more than just affect your oral health. In fact,
research shows that heart disease and stroke are often associated with gum disease,
and while no clear cause and effect relationship has been proven by doctors just yet,
studies show that gum disease directly increases the risk of developing serious heart
conditions. For this reason, the dentists at Kenton Dental Care, Kenton, Ohio s
leading center for family dentistry, say that routine dental exams along with good oral
hygienehabits are essential to fighting off gum disease and keeping your heart healthy.
Gum disease, also known as periodontal disease, is a common condition among adults
in the U.S. and is the infection of the mouth s gum tissue, usually

They were instructed to be an honorable wife and mother obeying the male in which

women in these cultures, especially in the Chinese culture, were kept at home
along with their children because the other family members hoped to use them as
a ploy to keep their wandering song from forgetting to send money home and about
their family back home. (Takaki, 36). It wasn t uncommon that women were
brought over against their will. While men generally chose to go, many women
had no choice; their husbands had decided for them or they were brought as
prostitutes. (Takaki, 65). It also wasn t uncommon for Chinese women to be at
home hoping for their husbands return, but to much surprise their husbands had
married a Hawaiian to help pass their time way from home. (Takaki, 169). Due to
their lack of encouragement to journey to America, the lack of choice to not go if
they didn t want to, and the burden to be a domestic goddess while their husbands
were off in America with who knows are just a few reasons why their experiences
were completely different.
Korean men made the journey to America as a way to start anew and generate new

History, Family Structure, And Culture Essay
Belize has been historically known for its tourism for several of years. This first
started dating back about 2000 years ago when the Ancient Mayans were
introduced. We have learned so much about their culture and history thanks to years
of research and the help of archaeologists excavating several Mayan ruins in Belize.
Although the number of Mayans still alive today has greatly reduced they still had
a major impact to our culture as shown through the many challenges they had to
overcome and the discoveries that they made. Some of the topics that will be
addressed will be geography, history, family structure, and culture. The Mayans are
known for their diversity as they are divided into three different regions; the
northern highlands, the central lowlands, and the southern highlands. The overall
name for this was called Mesoamerica which spreads across five different countries.
These countries were Belize, Honduras, Guatemala, Mexico, and El Salvador. There
are different groups that make up the Mayans. According to Lafond (1996), Some of
the largest Maya groups are found in Mexico, the most important of these being the
Yucatects, the Tzotzil, and the Tzeltal. Specifically, in Belize, they are comprised of
three Mayans groups; the Kekchi Maya, the Yucatec Maya, and the Mopan Mayans.
The Kekchi Mayans immigrated from San Pedro in Guatemala then to Belize where
they occupied eight villages, specifically in the Toledo district. The Yucatects
migrated from South Mexico and
The Greek Mythology Of Women
The Greeks most important legacy is not being pioneers in democracy as we would
think: it is their mythology. In general, we only know what male writers tell us
women thought, because there were little to no women writers. However, the Greeks
attributed to women a capacity for understanding that we do not always find in the
other great literary traditions such as the Bible . Ancient Greek mythologydepicts
women as a source of creation of the mythological universe, the creation of multi
gendered immortals, and the knowledgeable and powerful personalities attributed
to women in ancient Greek mythology. Many popular Greek plays contain several
well written, complex, female characters. These women were depicted as the role
of villain, victim, and even the role of heroine, showing the diversity in which
women were seen in both mythology and ancient Greek society. We do not give
much credit to the Greeks for their balanced view of women s abilities. The first
reason is that many of the original meanings get lost by translations and retelling1,
similar to the game Telephone. Secondly, myths tend to be misunderstood due to the
concerns and beliefs of our own society1. But were women fairly represented as
powerful in ancient Greek mythology? We often think of women as troublesome,
conniving, and all around negative; but I believe their representations in Greek
society and myth prove to be misunderstood.
Throughout Greek mythology, women are considered subservient, negative and

Amusing Ourselves To Death Analysis
In the book, Amusing Ourselves to Death, Postman states his thesis, All public
discourse increasingly takes the form of entertainment which has out us in a position
where we are slowly amusing ourselves to death . By this, he means that the media
has negatively affected the level of public discoursein contemporary America, and it
considers media in a larger context to achieve that. Amusing Ourselves to Death is a
foretelling look at what happens when politics, journalism, education, and even
religion become subject to the demands of entertainment. It is also a blueprint for
regaining control of our media, so that they can serve our highest goals. Postman

He views this shift from the Age of Typography (text based communication) to the
Age of Show Business (image based communication) as a profoundly problematic and
troubling phenomenon. By this he means that finding meaningful content is no
longer as simple as it was when text was all we had to contend with. Now, there are so
many things to distract and delight us, it takes even more discipline to examine
through the overwhelming abundance of stimuli (Postman). Information has become
a product valuable for being a novelty and form of entertainment rather than for being
important towards informing the public.
Postman mentions that what is most troubling about this influx of irrelevant
information is that while it gives us something to talk about, it cannot lead to any
meaningful action (Postman page 68). He suggests that the speed of transmittal
allows little time for reflection, and only offers an opportunity to replace one piece of
information with whatever happens next. He suggests that our culture s language
became a language of headlines sensational, fragmented, impersonal (Postman Page

Characteristics Of Nocturnal Animals
Nocturnal animals are more active at night than daytime. These animals sleep
during daytime and hunt their food at night. They have special adaptation that
helps them to survive at night. They prefer to come out at night to escape the
daytime heat though some nocturnal animals can be seen during the day and
others spend the whole day resting or sleeping. There are millions of animals and
some of it is nocturnal animals. We haven t discovered all of it and other nocturnal
animals become extinct as years passed by, mainly because of their declining habitat
and human encroachment of land for developmental projects. The deforestation is
one example of it. They cut trees that result to lose the animal s habitats though they
did that for human s sake. We, humans, need enough space especially our
population is getting bigger as years passed by. As they are losing their habitats,
they don t have a choice but to go near our area and as our self defense we kill them.

First the predators, if it were daytime, they would easily spotted especially if their
predators live in trees or can fly. Small animals have better chance of going unnoticed
as they forage for food and water at night. Second is the prey that comes out at night,
which happens to be a nocturnal also. It is hard to hunt food at night but predators
usually equip with great hearing and eyesight. Others use echolocation to hunt food.
Next is the competition. There is less competition at night. A diurnal, animals that is
more active at night, hunts their food at daytime and a nocturnal animal hunts their
food at night. In this way, both species have a chance to hunt their food without
fighting each other. Last, the temperature. Some animals, like in desserts, are
nocturnal to avoid the daytime heat. They sleep at night when the temperature is high
and comes out at night when the temperature is
Romans Sanctification
Justification produces positive outcomes in the lives of the believer. Because
justification is the declaration of righteousness before God, the results are somewhat
limited to the believer s standing before God. As stated previously, sanctification is a
continuing process which bears its fruits. However, none of these need considering
when discussing justification.
The epistle to the Romans contains one of the most often quoted verses in Scripture.
Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans
8:1) Justification caused this freedom, this blessing. According to Stott, The first
blessing of salvation is expressed in the words no condemnation , which are
equivalent to justification 13(217). In fact,

rash does not appear at all. There is no specific diagnostic test for this disease that is

Olmec Culture Essay
The mysterious Olmec civilization prospered in the Pre Classical (Formative)
Mesoamerica from c. 1200 BCE to c. 400 BCE and is considered the forerunner of
all subsequent Mesoamerican cultures, like the Aztecs and the Mayans.
The Olmec culture flourished along Mexico s gulf coast from 1200 to 400 B.C.
Known best today for their carved colossal heads, the Olmecs were an important
early Mesoamerican civilization which had influenced later cultures such as the
Mayans and the Aztecs. One of the most important archaeological sites associated
with this culture is San Lorenzo. There was a great city there: its original name has
been forgotten in time. Considered by archaeologists to be the first true
Mesoamerican city, San Lorenzo was a very important center of Olmec commerce,
religion and political power during its popularity. San Lorenzo was first occupied
around 1500 B.C., making it one of the oldest cities in the Americas. It housed three
early settlements, referred to as the OjochГ (1500 1350 B.C.), the BajГo (1350 1250
B.C.) and the ChichГЎrras (1250 1150 B.C.).These cultures are considered pre
Olmec and are largely identified by pottery types. The ChicharrГЎs period has
characteristics identified as Olmec characteristics. The city reached its peak in the
period from 1150 to 900 B.C. before falling into decline: this is referred to as the
San Lorenzo era. There may have been some 13,000 people at San Lorenzo during
the peak of its power (Cyphers). The city then went into decline and entered the
Nacaste period, lasting 900 to 700 B.C.: the Nacaste did not have the skills of their
forebears and added little to the progress of art and culture. The site was
abandoned before the Palangana era (600 400 B.C.) began: later, inhabitants
contributed small mounds and a ball court. The site was deserted for more than a
thousand years before it was re occupied during the Late Classic era of
Mesoamerican civilization, but the city never regained its former glory. The Olmec
were religious and contact with the Gods was a very significant part of their daily
life. Although no structure has been clearly identified as an Olmec temple, there are
areas of archaeological sites which are considered to be religious complexes, such as
Pratt And Whitney s Impact On The Military And
Commercial...
I will do my research on Pratt and Whitney s significant contribution to the military
and commercial aviation throughout the years. I have always been interested in this
great company s ability to learn develop, evolve and advance their engine
manufacturing technological capabilities throughout the years thus, making them a
force to recon with in the engine field. My focus will be towards the beginning
when they started building simple horizontally opposed engines through the radial
engines particularly during nineteen fifties. The wasp and the double wasp capable
of producing over 400 and 1300 shaft horsepower respectively for that time period
which was unheard of will be discussed. I love aviation and have always marveled at

These airplanes were equipped with four of these engines and transported passengers
in comfort. These engines had better performance, reliability and greater fuel
efficiency than any other at that time and won the company the prestigious Collier
Trophy award. Everything remained unchanged until 1966 when again the company
introduced the JT9D turbofan fan commercial use. Which would later be used in the
on the iconic and still the best looking airplane in aviation history the Boeing 747
which opened a completely new era in commercial aviation in 1970.
The P W Wasp Junior was produced by the thousands. It was a simple, dependable,
easy to work on engine. The accessories were attached to the rear and the constant
speed prop hub to the front.
Over the years, there have been many different configurations of radial engines,
from three cylinders to nine cylinders, with the seven and nine cylinder versions
preferred. When more power is required, a second engine is bolted at an angle to
allow cooling air to reach the second set of cylinders. The famous P W corn cob
engine had four banks of seven cylinder engines attached to one crankshaft. That s 28
cylinders, and 56 spark plugs to regularly change.
The all time reigning king of radial engines is built by United Aircraft s Pratt Whitney
Division. The man behind the engine was Frederick Rentschler who had designed a

The History of Caterpillar Engines Essay
The History of Caterpillar Engines The start of Caterpillar engines actually begins
before Caterpillar was even a company. The history began back in the late1800 s
when Daniel Best and Benjamin Holt were experimenting with various forms of
steam tractors used for farming. The two competed with each other to gain the lead
in the farm equipment industry. Throughout the late 1800 s and early 1900 s Holt
and Best continued to build both steam and gas tractors. In 1908 Best sold his
company to Holt. In 1925 Holt Manufacturing and C. L. Best Gas Tractor, a
company owned by Best s son C. L. Best, merged to form Caterpillar Tractor
Company. Three years later C. L. Best met with Carl George Arthur Rosen to discuss
putting diesel engines in... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This housing then directs the compressed air into the engine. After the use of the
turbocharger they discovered a new problem. The compressed air was much hotter
than normal air going into the engine. The reason was that when the air is
compressed it puts pressure on all the atoms. This causes the atoms to hit each
other, causing friction, and move even faster. These rapid movements cause a
massive amount of heat. This excess heat caused less oxygen to get to the
cylinders which means a loss of potential power. Our answer to this dilemma was
the aftercooler. Aftercoolers are used to lower the temperature of the air after it
comes out of the turbo but before it enters the engine. By lowering the temperature
the air becomes denser and holds more oxygen. This increase in oxygen provides
an increase in power. There are three types of aftercoolers. The first is an Air to Air
Aftercooler (ATAAC). With the air to air system, a separate cooler core is placed
in front of the engine. The engine fan then passed outside air across the cooler. The
outside air is much colder than the compressed air in the cooler. This difference
causes the compressed air to drop in temperature by losing its heat to the outside air.
This method is very common on most on highway trucks since they have access to a
large volume of fresh cool air. The second type of aftercooler is the Jacket Water

Essay about Virgin Suicides
Each year suicide is becoming more common in the United States among adolescents,
according to the Suicide and Mental Health Association International. The main
reason why adolescents commit suicide is because they are depressed. In the article
Nightmare in the Mirror by Scott Long, he explains that adolescence has changed
throughout the years. An assertion he makes is that teens have Angst and bouts of
suicidal despair distinguish this gloomy figureВ… (Long 156). Long explains that
throughout the years, adolescents have become sadder and depressed. Adolescents,
who suffer from depression and are suicidal, don t usually inform others. Those

As a result of being isolated from others, the girls become depressed. Lux makes the
statement I can t breathe in here (The Virgin Suicides). The girls become extremely
lonely. Even before Cecilia, the youngest daughter, committed suicidethe girls were
still sheltered. Cecilia s psychiatrist told the parents that the girls needed another
social outlet besides school. This proves that it is not healthy for adolescents to
not be social. With the girls now without the social outlet of school, the girls
became lonely and depressed. According to neuropsychiatrist, Rajesh Parikh,
Alcoholism and suicide become a handmaiden due to loneliness and depression .
In other words, people who are lonely and depressed have a higher risk of
committing suicide. Since the girls were lonely and depressed, they were at a
higher risk of committing suicide. Since the girls were depressed, this later
resulted in their suicide. Suicide attempts are usually made when a person is
seriously depressed and feels that there is no way out of their problems according
to D Arcy Lyness, PhD. Adolescents commit suicide because they feel as if they
can not escape emotional pain. The Lisbon girls were simply depressed. The
majority of adolescents who commit suicide suffer from depression. From the film
The Virgin Suicides, it is obvious that the Lisbon girls are depressed. The Lisbon girl

In the agreement FVC would become a subsidiary of RSE, and would maintain its
identity and management staff, furthermore no lay offs of staff are expected or
desired. RSE believes FVC s personal brings in a significant intangible asset to their
company and want to preserve it.
To this effect, they are looking to keep Flinder (62 years old) as CEO of the new
subsidiary with a potential salary increase of between $50,000 and $200,000 per
year. This RSE hopes will be enough incentive to keep Flinder from retiring and
overseeing the training of his eventual replacement. The only remaining issues are:
Price of the deal:
FVC is traded in NASDAQ while RSE is traded in the American Stock Exchange
Market CAP for both companies are FVC $100M and RSE $1.4B
Recent rapid growth over competitors/market segment despite weakened economy
has both companies feeling their stocks are undervalued.
Method of settlement: Cash, Stock a combination of both, etc.
RSE has sufficient credit capacity to finance the purchase through debt
Auden Co. who holds 20% of FVC stock has signaled they will not opposed the
acquisition but will sell their stock.
What is a reasonable offer price for FVC?
RSE want to make a reasonable offer price for FVC and they need to know FVC s
corporate Value. So we need to calculate WACC first. We can found Flinder s Equity

seems as if guys have to think about how to do romantic things for girls. But I also
do believe that girls today don t understand how to do romantic things for their man

Climate Change And Its Effects
Though the center of much debate, one undeniable fact is that climate change is
occurring and affects every part of planet Earth. Some effects are actually positive,
such as higher rates of photosynthesis in trees due to absorption of more abundant
CO2 and warmer temperatures. However, most of the negative effects of climate
change outweigh or counteract positive growth. Negative effects of climate changeare
affecting the land, water, plants, and animal life on planet Earth. Climate change has
provided both gifts and curses for Earth s forests. One of the most prevalent issues
associated with climate change affecting forests are forest fires. Both the frequency
and range of forest fires has increased in recent decades. In fact, information
published by the EPA reports that, burned area more than doubled between the 1960s
/70s and the 1980s/90s. (Backlund, p. 81) Extreme weather events, such as lightning
storms, are increasing in number, causing the initiation of more fires, while higher
temperatures and longer warm seasons are prolonging and promoting the wildfires.
Another important effect of climate change is the temperature increases, which affect
surface water. When the temperature of surface water sources such as streams, rivers,
and lakes increases, fish and other organisms, which live in the water, are negatively
affected. According to the EPA article, Water Impacts of Climate Change, fish species
are negatively affected by rising water temperatures because,

Franz Peter Schubert (January 31, 1797 November 19, 1828) was an Austrian
composer. He wrote some six hundred romantic songs as well as many operas,
symphonies, sonatas and many other works.
Schubert s Ave Maria! was not written with religious practices or the Catholic Church
in mind. The piece was considered a masterpiece, and, unlike the vast majority of his
compositions, it found a publisher before his death. Though not written for liturgical
services, the music proved to be inspirational to listeners, particularly Roman
Catholics, and a Latin text was substituted to make it suitable for use in church. It is
today most widely known in its Latin Ave Maria form. Although the song is a prayer,

The Demand And Supply Analysis
Introduction: The most important tool in microeconomics is the demand and
supply analysis. Demand refers to the amount of the product which is desired by
the purchaser at a certain price level where as the supply of the product represents
the amount of quantity that is supplied in the market at a certain level of price.
There are different factors on which demand is dependent. Apart from the price of
the product, the demand depends upon the income, the number of consumers,
preferences of the consumers and income of the consumers. The supply of the
product depends upon the price of the product, future expectation of the prices and
price of the factors of production (Colander 2013). Resources availability is
limited in the country so there is a need to observe the demand and supply so that
the resources are not exhausted. The demand and supply mechanism is analyzed
before getting into a detailed discussion upon the demand and supply of human
resources and iron ore resources in the Australian economy. Several newspaper
articles has been collected showing the demand for the skills in the state of
Queensland and the supply iron ore has dropped in respect of the increase in global
supply more than the demand. Mechanism of Demand and Supply: When the other
factors, which are seen to affect the demand for the product is constant then a rise in
the price of the product, will lead to fall and when there is fall in the prices then
there will be an increase in the demand. There is

The First Battle of Lexington
How would you feel if you found yourself on a battlefield firing red hot cannon
shots at moving hay bales? This is exactly what soldiers did in the First Battle of
Lexington. This battle was not as tiresome as the battles of Bull Run or other battles

The First Battle of Lexington, which is located in Missouri, surprisingly also known
as the Battle of the Hemp Bales or the Siege of Lexington, was fought for eight
tedious days in 1861. From September 12 to September 20 the Union army and the
pro Confederate Missouri state guard in Lexington furiously clashed with muskets
canons, bayonets and hemp bales. The Missouri state guard was a militia of
approximately 25000 Confederate soldiers, although not all of these soldiers were

Jazz Influence On African American Culture
Jazz music was born from the creative hands of black people who experienced
oppression and slavery in America in the late 18th century. Expression of a resistance
against the racist and oppressive political system was manifested in the way of black
Americans to play their music.
History has recorded that slavery and racial discrimination in America gave birth
precisely to the music of resistance, such as the Spiritual, gospel and blues. This
phenomenon could be interpreted as a cultural resistance of black people to
Westernization, in terms of religion, culture, politics, and how to make music. It was
because before they were brought to America, they have a distinctive culture of
Africa.

As a result of the spirit of Jazz that was dialectical, liberal and deconstructive, an
old style of playing music was negated by the ideas of new music. Then, the ideas
led into the new styles of playing music. In this case, the chronology of the
development of jazz was divided in three time periods where each period gave birth
to a specific style of playing music.
The first period was traditional jazz period (1890 1940) that gave birth to Ragtime,

The second one is modern jazz period (1940 1980) that gave birth to New Orleans

Personal Learning Environment And Learning
Environments
The Challenge I chose was Advancing Personal Learning. Personal Learning is the
tailoring of curriculum and learning environments by learners or for learners in order
to meet their different learning needs and aspirations. Before I go into the details of
why I chose this topic, it is important to know what Personal Learning
Environments, a current form of Personal Learning, actually are. A Personal
Learning Environment (PLE) are systems that help learners take control of and
manage their own learning(Wikipedia). These systems are centered on the user, and
are tailored to each individual to allow them to set their own learning goals,
manage the process of taking in content, and to help them learn to communicate
with others. Since these PLEs are user specific, it is significantly harder to carry out
on a large scale, but after they are able to be implemented, it is a lot easier to
coordinate and manage from a supervisor or teacher perspective. There are already
examples of more broad forms of PLEs, such as iGoogle, Edline, and Moodle. These
examples are more general and will work for most people because what each person
does with the access to material and content is up to them. However, I believe that
personal learning can be advanced to greater heights than that.
I chose the topic Advancing Personal Learning because I think learning is by far one
of the most important things in life. Societies rely on each individual s contributions
to the community, and if everyone has

should be something they market to the consumers more. Catering would expand
the kinds of buyers (ex. 1) such as business, families, schools, which would grow

in this industry (ex. 3). Offering more services, such as catering, is a way to catch
the consumers interest. With a growth rate of 26 percent in 2010 for Panera s
catering proves that a new segment is being targeted. Panera needs to reach more
consumers through advertising, commercials, and incentives. We recommend Panera

International Trade Dbq
When studying trade and commodities of Empires in any period of time, it is
important to look at the changes that the trade created within the involved nations.
What crops were popular enough to grow commercially in the empire, what the
increase of trade did to the population demographics, and how the global system
influenced the interactions of the countries involved can be found through close
reading primary sources. Through sources like Tradeand Travel in the Far East by
G.F. Davidson and Tearful Conversation over the Mulberry Fields and the Sea by
Nguyen Thuong Hien, scholars can determine the impact these factors had on the
lives of those who experienced empirical trade. In comparing these two documents,
the most prominent focus is on... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
From this, readers are aware that French men held important roles in Vietnam s crop
development system. This again matches Elson s article which states that when
European populations decide the official positions of natives in the trading system, or
hold the power themselves, the native populations are often further exploited and
overworked. For the sake of higher profits in the trade network, working conditions of
the Asian producers were difficult and often deadly, especially compared to their
Western managers. In the views of the author, the French owners in Vietnam treat the
Mandarin workers as their servants; they treat them no better than their dogs. For
their own business development and for the prospect of greater Asian trade relations,
the Western powers would stop at nothing to enhance their profit through Asian trade

Rebirth/reincarnation:
Buddhists believe all of us will pass away eventually as a natural part of the world;
birth old age and death. However, they believe death is not the end of life. It is
said to be the end of the body that we inhabited in that life, but that our spirit will
remain and seek out a new body and new life. Your new life would be based on
your previous life s karma. This is what is lead to the person being reborn in one of
the six realms. These are heaven, human beings, hungry ghost, animal, Asura
(lowest rank of demigods) or hell. Buddhists believe these realms are not permanent
place and one does not remain in any place forever. So in Buddhism, life does not
end, that the life we are in is impermanent. They believe we should not fear death, as
it will lead to rebirth.
The Six Realms
Heaven: there are 37 different levels in the Buddhist heaven, where beings experience
long lasting happiness and peace without suffering.
Human life: We can be reborn into human life several times, either poor or wealthy,
beautiful or ugly, healthy or sick. We can be reborn into any

Roman Empire Essay

  • 1. Roman Empire Essay Crafting an essay on the topic of the Roman Empire can be both challenging and fascinating. The difficulty lies not only in the vast expanse of historical events, figures, and cultural nuances that one must navigate but also in the need to synthesize this information into a coherent and engaging narrative. The Roman Empire, spanning centuries and encompassing a multitude of regions, presents a rich tapestry of political, social, and economic complexities. Researching this topic requires delving into a wide array of primary and secondary sources, ranging from ancient texts and inscriptions to modern historical analyses. The challenge is to sift through this wealth of information, discerning relevant details, and identifying overarching themes that contribute to a comprehensive understanding of the subject. Moreover, constructing a compelling essay involves not only presenting factual information but also weaving a narrative that captures the reader's attention. Conveying the significance of key events, personalities, and societal shifts requires a delicate balance between providing sufficient detail and maintaining a cohesive structure. One must grapple with the task of bringing historical characters to life, exploring their motivations, and analyzing the consequences of their actions. The essay should also address the historiographical debates surrounding the Roman Empire, reflecting an awareness of differing interpretations among scholars. This demands critical thinking and the ability to evaluate conflicting perspectives, adding another layer of complexity to the writing process. In conclusion, tackling an essay on the Roman Empire necessitates a nuanced understanding of history, a keen analytical mindset, and adept writing skills. However, for those seeking assistance or looking to explore similar topics in greater depth, various resources are available, including online platforms like HelpWriting.net, where one can find expertly crafted essays and a range of academic writing services. The duration of the work term was spent working in the Enterprise Architecture department as a Technology Architecture Assistant, and working with the Wireless Development team as a temporary Software Tester. Working as a Technology Architecture Assistant, main responsibilities included the managing of the content within an internal department SharePoint site, aiding with the relaunching of a database synchronization process, and the updating of charts report documents for the end of the first quarter. First, the co op student was required to familiarize themselves with all the documents and lists present on the internal department SharePoint site, and propose content which should be deleted or archived due to no longer being relevant. By the end of the term, a means of identifying content to clean up was derived, and the actual action of deletion and archiving was carried out. Secondly, the student was required to studying a pre existing synchronization process that previously took place in Microsoft Access which synchronized the contents of an external database with a list in SharePoint. Since the synchronization process had stopped working prior to the arrival of the co op student, the student was required to find a means to reproduce a working version of the process. The third major task, the updating of charts and reports,

At various times many states passed laws in contradiction to the freedoms guaranteed in the 1st Amendment. However broadcast has always been considered a special exemption to free speech laws for two reasons. 1) the most important reasons is the scarcity of spectrum and the 2) is the persuasiveness of the medium. Because radio and TV come into the house, and may be heard or seen by unsupervised children, the government feels a special responsibility to protect the American people. • 4. Profile of Rorschach in Alan Moore s Watchmen Who chooses our heroes? Who watches our heroes? Who watches the Watchmen? Over the course of history, many public figures have been scrutinized for heroic actions that some have deemed controversial. Charles Darwin dismantled theories of Creationism with his discoveries in evolutionary biology. President Harry Truman single handedly ended World War II by authorizing the nuclear bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Japan, killing thousands upon thousands of civilians. Gangster John Dillinger stole from banks all across the U.S. Midwest in the midst of the Great Depression and was heralded by some as a modern day Robin Hood. All of these figures share a common characteristic concerning their heroic lore: the controversy ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Even after the public saw them as disturbances to the peace of the city and the government had banned them, Rorschach continued to serve justice. Heroes will work tirelessly to improve the greater good even when it comes at a deadly cost to those that stand in their way. To eradicate the world of evil and corruption is heroic, even when it jeopardizes one s well being and legacy. It is his moral absolutism that makes Rorschach the purest hero of all the Watchmen. To fully understand Rorschach, it is imperative to analyze the event that turned him into the fighting vigilante that he became. During the early hours of March 13, 1964, Kitty Genovese was returning from her job at a bar when she ran into a killer on the street a mere 100 feet from her apartment. She was repeatedly stabbed as she yelled out to her neighbors for help; but among the thirty eight witnesses that heard the commotion and watched the scene from their windows, not one called the police. Kitty Genovese died from her injuries and the murder has since been thoroughly studied in social psychology. Her extraordinary case forced the bystander effect into the academic journals and studies of psychologists. How could there be thirty eight witnesses to this brutal murder and not one of them informed the police? The bystander effect states that, in stressful situations, individuals are less likely to offer aid when there are other
  • 5. Improving Gun Safety Improving Gun Safety There has been a sizeable debate on gun control and whether or not important political figures or public safety should address the issue. Public safety and political figures should address this issue because the two leading causes of death are from gun wounds and car accidents. There should be tougher gun restrictions in the United Statesbecause guns are bought with the intent on killing another human being, which can be justified in self defense. However, there should be requirements that the gun owner should be licensed, trained, and have lock boxes for their guns because children can get to them, misuse them, and actually hurt or kill themselves and someone with them. Restricting them doesn t necessarily mean banning
  • 6. The Casual Relationship Between Mental Health And Crime Mental Health and Crime It is a common misconception that there is a causal relationship between mental illness and committing a crime. This myth is nothing more than a myth presumably stemmed from media misrepresentation and sensationalising the rare few cases where a criminal suffers from a severe mental illness. Mental illness is defined as a health condition involving changes in thinking, emotion and behaviour. Mental illnesses are linked with distress and/or problems in work or social functioning. Criminal behaviour is any social act violating socially defined laws. Predominantly in the case of youths, it is often done in groups. Social psychologists have come to the conclusion that it is more than one variable that contributes to the act of committing crimes. It takes an integrated approach to be able to begin to understand the offender s motivation for breaking the law. Mental health issues are not a strong factor with regards to criminal behaviour, however children who have been diagnosed with conduct behaviour are more likely to have crime involved in their life than children who do not have conduct disorder. Substance abuse however can lead to both violence and the development of a mental disorder, but the mental disorder in this case is not a causal factor of being violent. In a study of prisoners in Mountjoy Prison, it was found that eighty three inmates out of one hundred and eight had had experience of using drugs other than cannabis. • 7. Visit At The Beautiful Colosseum My colleague, Alison Guest, and I were assigned to travel to Rome to visit the beautiful Colosseum where we needed to record out findings and reveal the history of the structure. We traveled over eight hours from New York to Piazza del Colosseo, Rome, Italy to learn about the history behind the Colosseum. Being a new archeologist, it is mandatory to travel all over the world to cites to get a better understanding of history. Before traveling to Rome, I knew very little of the Colosseum. I knew it was made of cement and destroyed but I did not know much of the history behind its creation and its destruction. Little did I know, I would fall in love with the history and the beauty of the ancient Colosseum. Once we arrived, the first thing you noticed was how big the Colosseum was. I never imagined how big it could actually be. It covered six acres of land and stood at 157 feet tall. Another leading archeologist who joined us for the trip had mentioned that took 1.1 million tons of concrete, stone and bricks to complete the whole structure. (The Colosseum, 2002) The Colosseum was a massive structure made of stone. It has an elliptical shape, allowing a nice view no matter where you are seated. The best seat belonged to none other than the emperor who sat in the emperors box. The entrances and staircase were arranged by marble and iron dividers. This was to keep different social classes apart. ( The Colosseum:Emblem of Rome , 2011) While taking in the the view, I was amazed
  • 8. Voting Rights Act Of 1965 States have utilized their discretion over the time, place, and manner to alienate large segments of the voting population in the pass. From the Jim Crow era literacy tests and poll taxes, to modern day voter ID laws, representatives have attempted to disenfranchise voters at every turn. Thought the VotingRights Act of 1965 would have ideally rid America of these obstacles by this point, vestiges of the manipulation remain. The passage of years has brought a large degree of uniformity to election laws. For example, all states except Louisiana permit election by plurality in general elections. But several key distinctions prevail, and the desire for federalism here has created issues with suffrage. Voter ID laws are perhaps the most visible... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Now, congressional districts follow no reasonable pattern or logic; districts within states vary drastically in terms of size, shape, and similarity of socio economic diversity. Parties controlling state legislatures have the most say in the mapping of Congressional districts, and consequently try to draw districts up in ways that insulate incumbents. They draw district lines to maximize the number of seats they can win, usually by concentrating opposition voters into the same districts. This leads to a guaranteed loss in those districts, but allows the ruling party to win the vast majority of other districts by tight, but secure margins. The wider the margin of victory at the national level, the more dangerous gerrymandering becomes to Congressional districts. This was true of the elections of 1974 (Democrats picked up 49 House seats and 4 in the Senate in the wake of Watergate), 1994 (When Republicans gained 54 House and 10 Senate seats during the Gingrich Revolution ), and 2006 (When Democrats won 31 House and six Senate seats). For example, in 2010, Republicans scored a sweeping victory in the House. They ended up controlling redistricting procedures for eighteen states, compared to Democrats six. Republicans then exploited this opportunity to shore up some of their marginal districts by adding in favorable voters to weakening districts. The effects shine clearly: in 2012, only

This first started dating back about 2000 years ago when the Ancient Mayans were introduced. We have learned so much about their culture and history thanks to years of research and the help of archaeologists excavating several Mayan ruins in Belize. Although the number of Mayans still alive today has greatly reduced they still had a major impact to our culture as shown through the many challenges they had to overcome and the discoveries that they made. Some of the topics that will be addressed will be geography, history, family structure, and culture. The Mayans are known for their diversity as they are divided into three different regions; the northern highlands, the central lowlands, and the southern highlands. The overall name for this was called Mesoamerica which spreads across five different countries. These countries were Belize, Honduras, Guatemala, Mexico, and El Salvador. There are different groups that make up the Mayans. According to Lafond (1996), Some of the largest Maya groups are found in Mexico, the most important of these being the Yucatects, the Tzotzil, and the Tzeltal. Specifically, in Belize, they are comprised of three Mayans groups; the Kekchi Maya, the Yucatec Maya, and the Mopan Mayans. The Kekchi Mayans immigrated from San Pedro in Guatemala then to Belize where they occupied eight villages, specifically in the Toledo district. The Yucatects migrated from South Mexico and

In general, we only know what male writers tell us women thought, because there were little to no women writers. However, the Greeks attributed to women a capacity for understanding that we do not always find in the other great literary traditions such as the Bible . Ancient Greek mythologydepicts women as a source of creation of the mythological universe, the creation of multi gendered immortals, and the knowledgeable and powerful personalities attributed to women in ancient Greek mythology. Many popular Greek plays contain several well written, complex, female characters. These women were depicted as the role of villain, victim, and even the role of heroine, showing the diversity in which women were seen in both mythology and ancient Greek society. We do not give much credit to the Greeks for their balanced view of women s abilities. The first reason is that many of the original meanings get lost by translations and retelling1, similar to the game Telephone. Secondly, myths tend to be misunderstood due to the concerns and beliefs of our own society1. But were women fairly represented as powerful in ancient Greek mythology? We often think of women as troublesome, conniving, and all around negative; but I believe their representations in Greek society and myth prove to be misunderstood. Throughout Greek mythology, women are considered subservient, negative and

Olmec Culture Essay The mysterious Olmec civilization prospered in the Pre Classical (Formative) Mesoamerica from c. 1200 BCE to c. 400 BCE and is considered the forerunner of all subsequent Mesoamerican cultures, like the Aztecs and the Mayans. The Olmec culture flourished along Mexico s gulf coast from 1200 to 400 B.C. Known best today for their carved colossal heads, the Olmecs were an important early Mesoamerican civilization which had influenced later cultures such as the Mayans and the Aztecs. One of the most important archaeological sites associated with this culture is San Lorenzo. There was a great city there: its original name has been forgotten in time. Considered by archaeologists to be the first true Mesoamerican city, San Lorenzo was a very important center of Olmec commerce, religion and political power during its popularity. San Lorenzo was first occupied around 1500 B.C., making it one of the oldest cities in the Americas. It housed three early settlements, referred to as the OjochГ (1500 1350 B.C.), the BajГo (1350 1250 B.C.) and the ChichГЎrras (1250 1150 B.C.).These cultures are considered pre Olmec and are largely identified by pottery types. The ChicharrГЎs period has characteristics identified as Olmec characteristics. The city reached its peak in the period from 1150 to 900 B.C. before falling into decline: this is referred to as the San Lorenzo era. There may have been some 13,000 people at San Lorenzo during the peak of its power (Cyphers). The city then went into decline and entered the Nacaste period, lasting 900 to 700 B.C.: the Nacaste did not have the skills of their forebears and added little to the progress of art and culture. The site was abandoned before the Palangana era (600 400 B.C.) began: later, inhabitants contributed small mounds and a ball court. The site was deserted for more than a thousand years before it was re occupied during the Late Classic era of Mesoamerican civilization, but the city never regained its former glory. The Olmec were religious and contact with the Gods was a very significant part of their daily life. Although no structure has been clearly identified as an Olmec temple, there are areas of archaeological sites which are considered to be religious complexes, such as

This housing then directs the compressed air into the engine. After the use of the turbocharger they discovered a new problem. The compressed air was much hotter than normal air going into the engine. The reason was that when the air is compressed it puts pressure on all the atoms. This causes the atoms to hit each other, causing friction, and move even faster. These rapid movements cause a massive amount of heat. This excess heat caused less oxygen to get to the cylinders which means a loss of potential power. Our answer to this dilemma was the aftercooler. Aftercoolers are used to lower the temperature of the air after it comes out of the turbo but before it enters the engine. By lowering the temperature the air becomes denser and holds more oxygen. This increase in oxygen provides an increase in power. There are three types of aftercoolers. The first is an Air to Air Aftercooler (ATAAC). With the air to air system, a separate cooler core is placed in front of the engine. The engine fan then passed outside air across the cooler. The outside air is much colder than the compressed air in the cooler. This difference causes the compressed air to drop in temperature by losing its heat to the outside air. This method is very common on most on highway trucks since they have access to a large volume of fresh cool air. The second type of aftercooler is the Jacket Water Aftercooler

Back then they didn t have all the movies and the usual romance where the man falls in love with a woman and so on. The romance now a days I don t even think we can call it romance anymore. Back then guys didn t even have to think about opening the door for his lady or opening the car door for her or just little things like that, it all just seemed to come natural to them. In todays society it seems as if guys have to think about how to do romantic things for girls. But I also do believe that girls today don t understand how to do romantic things for their man either. What Is The Role Of Women In The Spanish Civil War Natalie House Dr. Delay Historian s Craft February 27 2017 Project Proposal The Spanish Civil war was a complex and tumultuous whirlwind of combating ideologies through the resulting emphasis on gender differences and maternalism, it played the catalyst in the bolstering prevalence of gender discourse. Although unlike traditional feminist movements, the women of the Spanish Civil War, specifically the Milicianas and Mujeres Libres were primarily in search of a voice in ongoing social revolution and less concerned with the acquisition of political equality. By taking into account the history of the social conditioning of Spanish women, I hope to analyze the changes in the sex gender system, wrought on by revolution and war by furthering examining

Some effects are actually positive, such as higher rates of photosynthesis in trees due to absorption of more abundant CO2 and warmer temperatures. However, most of the negative effects of climate change outweigh or counteract positive growth. Negative effects of climate changeare affecting the land, water, plants, and animal life on planet Earth. Climate change has provided both gifts and curses for Earth s forests. One of the most prevalent issues associated with climate change affecting forests are forest fires. Both the frequency and range of forest fires has increased in recent decades. In fact, information published by the EPA reports that, burned area more than doubled between the 1960s /70s and the 1980s/90s. (Backlund, p. 81) Extreme weather events, such as lightning storms, are increasing in number, causing the initiation of more fires, while higher temperatures and longer warm seasons are prolonging and promoting the wildfires. Another important effect of climate change is the temperature increases, which affect surface water. When the temperature of surface water sources such as streams, rivers, and lakes increases, fish and other organisms, which live in the water, are negatively affected. He wrote some six hundred romantic songs as well as many operas, symphonies, sonatas and many other works. Schubert s Ave Maria! was not written with religious practices or the Catholic Church in mind. The piece was considered a masterpiece, and, unlike the vast majority of his compositions, it found a publisher before his death. Though not written for liturgical services, the music proved to be inspirational to listeners, particularly Roman Catholics, and a Latin text was substituted to make it suitable for use in church. • 36. The Demand And Supply Analysis Introduction: The most important tool in microeconomics is the demand and supply analysis. Demand refers to the amount of the product which is desired by the purchaser at a certain price level where as the supply of the product represents the amount of quantity that is supplied in the market at a certain level of price. There are different factors on which demand is dependent. Apart from the price of the product, the demand depends upon the income, the number of consumers, preferences of the consumers and income of the consumers. The supply of the product depends upon the price of the product, future expectation of the prices and price of the factors of production (Colander 2013). Resources availability is limited in the country so there is a need to observe the demand and supply so that the resources are not exhausted. The demand and supply mechanism is analyzed before getting into a detailed discussion upon the demand and supply of human resources and iron ore resources in the Australian economy. Several newspaper articles has been collected showing the demand for the skills in the state of Queensland and the supply iron ore has dropped in respect of the increase in global supply more than the demand. Mechanism of Demand and Supply: When the other factors, which are seen to affect the demand for the product is constant then a rise in the price of the product, will lead to fall and when there is fall in the prices then there will be an increase in the demand. Expression of a resistance against the racist and oppressive political system was manifested in the way of black Americans to play their music. • 40. Personal Learning Environment And Learning Environments The Challenge I chose was Advancing Personal Learning. Personal Learning is the tailoring of curriculum and learning environments by learners or for learners in order to meet their different learning needs and aspirations. Before I go into the details of why I chose this topic, it is important to know what Personal Learning Environments, a current form of Personal Learning, actually are. A Personal Learning Environment (PLE) are systems that help learners take control of and manage their own learning(Wikipedia). These systems are centered on the user, and are tailored to each individual to allow them to set their own learning goals, manage the process of taking in content, and to help them learn to communicate with others. Since these PLEs are user specific, it is significantly harder to carry out on a large scale, but after they are able to be implemented, it is a lot easier to coordinate and manage from a supervisor or teacher perspective. There are already examples of more broad forms of PLEs, such as iGoogle, Edline, and Moodle. These examples are more general and will work for most people because what each person does with the access to material and content is up to them. However, I believe that personal learning can be advanced to greater heights than that. I chose the topic Advancing Personal Learning because I think learning is by far one of the most important things in life. Societies rely on each individual s contributions to the community, and if everyone has
