This document outlines various risks associated with an independent film production and identifies ways to mitigate those risks. It notes that the director is responsible for most risks but that sensibility should be used throughout filming. It then lists specific risks like weather, equipment issues, actor absences or injuries, location safety concerns, and financial constraints. 1. Risk Assessment
As Director I am the one who is responsible for most of the risks listed below,
however it is important to remember that sensibility should be used through out
the creation of my movie.

day of my shoots,
for example if
they have another
event or
unexpected delay,
I will keep in
frequent contact
with all of the
actors to see if
they can make it.

Broken
equipment
All Me As all of the
equipment that I
am using for each
shoot is my own, I
will have to check
the equipment
frequently for
example my
camera, tripod
and props etc... to
see if they still
work and are
suitable to shoot
with.
Low battery All Me To prevent loss of
filming due to low
batteries, I will
make sure that I
will have at least
two spare
batteries at each
shoot fully
charged, so if one
does run out of
charge I can
replace it.
Actor gives a poor
performance

are safe and that
there is no

area for the actors
