This document outlines potential risks and preventative measures for a film shoot. Key risks addressed include actors being absent, equipment breaking, low battery or memory, bad weather impacting outdoor shots, injuries on set, lighting issues, not following the storyboard, software crashes during editing, public interference during outdoor scenic shots, and general health and safety issues. Prevention strategies include scheduling flexibility, testing equipment, bringing backups, checking weather forecasts, indoor filming, familiarizing actors with the set, frequent saving, choosing a quiet filming location, and prioritizing safety.

2. Risk Location Prevention
Absent (Illness etc.) All If any of the actors are ill
or can’t make it to film,
we will re-arrange the
shooting day so that they
are able to film. Another
solution would be filming
shots where we don’t
need the actress, for
example, the scenic shots,
which don’t require any
acting but make up the
instrumental scenes. If
our actors can’t make it
due to personal
problems, we could
simply have a substitute
in her place or get a new
actress.
Broken equipment All We will test the
equipment, such as
cameras prior to the
filming day to ensure that
we have no problems on
the day. If however, there
are problems when
filming, we will have to
arrange another camera
to use instead.
Memory card All To be safe, we will bring
multiple memory cards
on the day to ensure that
if one breaks or is full due
to storage issues, we can
easily replace it and
continue on with filming.
Weather All Although we can’t control
the weather, we can
check forecasts
beforehand for any
outdoor shots. The
majority of our shots are
indoor which avoids any
major problems involving
bad weather.

3. Low battery All Prior to the event, we will
make sure the battery is
fully charged and bring a
charger in case it isn’t.
Injury All Since our filming takes
place in door, there will
not be any major
problems involving
getting injured. To avoid
this however, we could
familiarise the actors
with the surroundings so
they are aware of
everything and can’t
bump into anything. If an
injury occurs, we must
act accordingly by making
sure they’re ok and
sending them home. If the
injury Is minor, we could
simply rearrange the
filming to another day or
substitute the actors.
Lighting All Our scenic shots depend
on the weather, as they
can’t be too dark when
filming. To avoid this, we
could pick a day where
it’s somewhat sunny, or
check the forecast to
check whether it’s going
to be cloudy or not. Our
other shots are inside and
lighting isn’t an issue as
it’s either natural or
artificial.
Not following the
storyboard
All We will refer to our
storyboard constantly
through out the filming
process to ensure we are
on track.
Software Editing If my editing software
crashes when editing my
work, this can be avoided
by saving constantly and
saving back ups onto a
memory card.

4. Public interferences All When filming our scenic
shots, we will need no
distractions or
disruptions in the shot as
it’s capturing the scene.
We will avoid problems
by filming in a quiet place
and ensuring there’s no
one who could interrupt
our shooting.
General Health and Safety All The video shoot involves
no stunts or anything
risky that could
potentially hurt us or the
actors involved in the
sheet. If unfortunately
this does arise, we will
immediately stop the
shoot and help those in
need.
