This document identifies and assesses various risks associated with filming a movie project. As the director, the author is responsible for most of the risks. Some of the key risks addressed include actor issues, weather, equipment malfunctions, props and costumes, lighting conditions, location safety, hazards on set, public interference, traffic noise, electrical issues, software crashes, health and safety, sticking to conventions while allowing creativity, and working within a limited budget. Strategies are provided for overcoming or preventing each of the risks.
