In a ring topology, each network device is connected to two other devices in a closed loop using point-to-point connections, allowing signals to travel from one device to the next in sequence until reaching the destination device. Signals pass through each device along the ring until reaching their destination, and each device can act as a repeater by regenerating the signal before sending it to the next device. While easy to install and configure, ring topologies are unidirectional and if any single device fails, the entire network will fail.

2. Explanation of Ring Topology
 Ring Topology:
1. In a ring topology, each device has a dedicated point to point line configuration.
2. All devices are connected point to point in the shape of ring.
3. A signal is passed along the ring in one device to device until it reaches its
destination.
4. Each device in the ring can act as a repeater because each device in ring receives
the signal and regenerates the bits and then send to the another device.

 Advantages :
1. Easy to install and reconfigure.
2. Fault identification is easy.
3. A signal can travel long distance because each device in a ring can acts as a
repeater.
 Disadvantages :
1. It is a unidirectional.
2. If any one device fails in the ring topology the entire network fails.
3. Time delay of the signal is more.
