RESERVES
Development
The field has an approved development plan and
reserves base agreed upon by the State. Reserves can
be stated as technically recoverable volumes and as
economic volumes. Estimates for each category are a
single value, “best estimate.”
Exploration
The field is under appraisal and does not yet have an
approved development plan and reserves base agreed
upon by the State. The field is subject to technical
studies and/or pilot programs to determine the
optimum development plan and recoverable volumes.
