Disaster Recovery Analyst
Responsible for coordinating, planning and scheduling multi-platform business recovery testing with IT
resources; evaluating and recommending business continuity planning solutions; working closely with
business continuity coordinator to strategically plan the recovery of all field office locations and
subsidiary companies; coordinating development of a formal, written IT recovery plan and database.
 Developed and defined project initiatives for off-site strategic testing utilizing over 50 business
associates from corporate and remote offices. Testing was completed on time and under budget to
align with departmental goals.
 Continued annual coordination, planning and testing of field and subsidiary offices to simulate
disaster scenarios as a proof of concept for IT and business to support recovery time objectives.
Recommended solutions to align RPO with RTO business requirements.
 Managed and maintained strategic business continuity contracts valued at approximately
$500,000 for telecom, PC/LAN and mainframe configurations.
 Negotiated, implemented and administered new business continuity software called LDRPS

Data Center Shift Supervisor, 1987-2000
Responsible for supervising a 24 x 7 data center and its computer operations staff including writing staff
objectives, administering performance appraisals, writing and maintaining standard operating procedures,
coordinating disaster recovery tests, providing help desk support during non-business hours and
supporting production control with all job scheduling issues related to restart and recovery.
 Provided Response support and delivered critical communications while performing hands-on
support during the disastrous event that occurred in 1989 at the primary data center located in
Philadelphia. This event led to a building evacuation and a declaration of a disaster which
relocated primary operations to a contracted off-site vendor location for 1 year.
 Coordinated and assisted in the Restoration process of the company data center from the Hot-Site
to a new leased sited for data center operations in 1990. Data Center was relocated without
impact to support all critical online systems availability.
 Coordinated, planned and assisted in the Restoration process of the company data center from the
leased site to a new home office location for data center operations in 1999. Data Center was
relocated without impact to support all critical online systems availability.
 Supervised shift personnel and provided critical direction for correcting problems associated with
all batch workload applications on the mainframe and distributed systems.
 Initiated and led the ‘Tape conversion project’ that significantly reduced the elapsed run time in
critical online batch updates by 33%.(or 100,000 tape mounts annually)
 Team lead for technical support software testing of CA-1 tape system. All new releases of this
software were put through vigorous testing before being moved into production.

Assistant Shift Supervisor/Lead Computer Operator, 1984-1987
Responsible for assisting in supervisory duties as assigned in daily and nightly shift operations, running
production mainframe batch jobs, restart & recovery of applications and systems, monitoring online
systems, initiating and restarting FTP processes and providing first level support to Production Control
for scheduling issues. This included performing daily and weekly backups to support disaster recovery
initiatives, performing system IPL’s and scheduling off-hour maintenance with third party vendors.

Data Center was relocated without impact to support all critical online systems availability.  Supervised shift personnel and provided critical direction for correcting problems associated with all batch workload applications on the mainframe and distributed systems.  Initiated and led the ‘Tape conversion project’ that significantly reduced the elapsed run time in critical online batch updates by 33%.(or 100,000 tape mounts annually)  Team lead for technical support software testing of CA-1 tape system. All new releases of this software were put through vigorous testing before being moved into production.
