The student had a very productive final week of their major project. They finalized all of their production work, including 7 PowerPoint presentations, a website, magazine, and 10 development posts. Over the past 4 days, the student focused on improvements based on feedback, such as adding more research and images to PowerPoints. While they wish they could have balanced improvements across all presentations equally, overall the student was happy with completing the project before the deadline.

The student used several programs throughout their coursework including InDesign, Blogger, Photoshop, PowerPoint, Survey Monkey, and Word. For their final magazine, they used InDesign to design pages, Photoshop to edit photos, and a digital camera to take photos. They concluded that InDesign and PowerPoint became easier to use with more practice, while Survey Monkey and Prezi took some time to learn but were helped by available tutorials.
Media technologies
The blogger used WordPress as the central hub to document their entire media project, including research, planning, development, feedback, and final work. Key features used included categorizing posts, linking resources, embedding videos alongside analysis, and creating polls for audience feedback. Google, YouTube, and other websites were used for initial research. Facebook was utilized to gather participants for polls and feedback. Photoshop was employed to edit images and create the movie poster, while Premiere Elements supported video editing and trailer creation. Sound recording and PowerPoint were also leveraged at different stages of the process.

2) Taking photos with a camera, importing them, and experimenting with different shots for future use.
3) Designing 2 magazine covers in Photoshop using stock images to practice layout and design.
4) Editing existing photos using effects in Photoshop like patterns and colors to explore editing tools and see which worked best.
The experiments provided hands-on experience with skills needed for the magazine and helped Jude learn techniques, tools, and decide approaches for the final production
Evaluation 4
Alisha Parker used various media technologies across the four stages of her coursework: research, planning, construction, and evaluation. In research, she used Google, SoundCloud, YouTube, Vimeo, TubeChop, and headphones to research music videos and genres. In planning, Google, YouTube, Wix, headphones, and CDs helped with inspiration and conventions. Construction involved Photoshop, Premier, studio lights, social media, smartphones, DSLR camera, and Blogger. Evaluation utilized Google, Paint, PowerPoint, Prezi, SlideShare, memory sticks, and Blogger for presentations and documentation. Alisha concludes she could not have completed any stages without these media technologies.

They used PowerPoint to plan the magazine layout, and Photoshop to design the pages, where they learned to edit photos by removing backgrounds, adjusting lighting and contrast. They also learned video editing skills by creating a music video for their blog, gaining experience they can apply in the future. Creating a blog was an unfamiliar skill that required uploading different media formats and embedding a YouTube video. Overall, the project helped the student develop both new skills like video editing as well as improve existing skills like photo editing.

A Strategic Approach: GenAI in Education
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

- 3. - While going through the blog, I realised a lot of the group pitch tasks were only titled using the pitch task and blog number. - To fix this, I went through every blog created for the pitch and named them according to their topics. - I also noticed a lot of the posts were posted only as big chunks of text like the one shown on the left. - I went through the group posts and I replaced them into ICT apps (like the post on the right) which would make the posts more visual and easier to view.
- 4. - I spent most of my free time this week working on the blog and replacing old blogs with different ICT apps - I noticed that the filming evidence photos were posted on the blog without the use of apps so I placed the photos into Flipagrams, Instagrams and Padlets and embedded them into the old blogs. - I made an updated storyboard on Prezi based on the changes that we recently made to our opening sequence. - By responding to the feedback, I have used more than three different apps on my older posts that I haven’t used before - These apps were: Canva, Powtoon, Instagram and Flipagram - I am going to make an updated production schedule: Listing all of the previous dates we filmed on. I will also make a production schedule for editing time because the group will need to meet up in between lessons so we can edit our footage together. - This week we will also need to work on the soundscape in our title sequence so I aim to be blogging our process during this time.
- 5. - I went through my whole blog today and listed how many times I used ICT apps on each post - I have used a variety of apps but find that I use a lot of apps very frequently - I have decided that for the remaining blogs I post I will make sure they’re all posted by embedding an app - I will also try and find other different apps to use to make my posts visually pleasing and easier to use. Overall,I like the progress I made with my blog this week. I was able to make a lot of changes to it and have closely stuck to the feedback that I received from Louisa. I completed about 4/5 of the targets she set for me and will complete the last one this week.
