The TRACE Model
The TRACE model accounts for WF effects as studies have found that participants gaze at words
presented prior and after LF words for a longer duration than the words surrounding the HF words
(Rayner Duffy, 1986). Thus, as the model encompasses top down and bottom up processing
(McClelland Elman, 1986), quicker responses may be induced for HF words, as when individuals read
LF words they may analyse surrounding words to assess the context of the text, which consequently
slows them down. Whereas, this process is not necessarily required for HF words, due to the
familiarity of the context the words are used in.
Furthermore, the TRACE model accounts for WS effects as exemplified by Williams and Gaffney
(1985) as eight participants ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Thus, the model s flexibility and universality allows a greater applicability to these effects and
variations, such as developmental disorders that can impact them. accurately in a string of letters when
presented in an actual word, compared to a non word or a single isolated letter (Baron, 2014). Thus, as
both models only incorporate bottom up processing, which is more useful when processing individual
letters (Starrfelt, Petersen, Vangkilde, 2013), they cannot account for WS as it would be difficult to
efficiently detect letters within words.
However, the TRACE model by McClelland and Elman (1986) accounts for both effects as it is an
interactive processing model whereby visual and auditory inputs are interpreted by their features,
before progressing to either the letter or phenome level and subsequently advancing to the word level
to retrieve suitable candidates, as shown in Figure 2.
The Logogen model accounts for word frequency (WF) effects, which is based on the premise that
high frequency (HF) words are used more regularly so they are easier to recognise than low frequency
(LF) words that are used scarcely (Murrell Morton, 1974). Rayner and Duffy (1986) illustrate this as
participants fixated and gazed longer at LF words compared to HF words, potentially as infrequent
words are not easily accessed within the lexicon. Consequently, as a Logogen has to reach a specific
threshold to be activated, HF words are stimulated quicker than LF

Architect Company Bjarke Ingels Group ( Big ) Studio
The internationally awarded architect company Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG) Studio has been drawing
headlines around the world with their impressive projects. To be known as one of the innovative
architects throughout the time, founder and architect Bjarke Ingels is full with enthusiasm and ideas
and making the society as the main ingredients in the design process. He views architecture as art and
science of accommodating life which the architect have to make sure that the city and buildings are

Offering such idea into architecture, the firm has established a reputation for challenging the
traditional architecture approach by creating structural entities that speaking about our constantly
evolving world (designboom, 2014). Yes is More stand as a philosophy of BIG which basically an
evolution from Mies Van de Rohe, a modernist architect that triggered the agenda of less is more into
their design. That is some sort of minimalist approach that is being encountered in that time however
the modern building became less attractive and new evolution had to be made (Ingels, 2015). BIG
tries to contribute to the societal evolution throughout their architecture. The social environmental
issues are the concerns and demands from each of the project not just the aesthetic values and facades.
Hedonistic Sustainability is the concept that represent the approach by BIG, making a combination of

What Is Abraham Lincoln s Life
Abraham Lincoln earned and received his license to practice law in Illinois in 1836. By then Lincoln
was already on his way with politics as he was elected into the Illinois General Assembly in 1834.
Lincoln would go on to be reelected into the Illinois General Assembly in 1836, 1838, and 1840.
While in the Illinois General Assembly Lincoln would play a major role relocating the state capital to
Springfield, Illinois. After 1840, Lincoln did not actively continue on with the Illinois General
Assembly. In Abraham Lincolns young adult life, he showed great dedication. Lincoln was only in
school for one total year. Yet, he did not let that alter his knowledge. Lincoln continued to read books
and educated himself with these books as well as life

Education And The Childcare Act
Since the government brought Every Child Matters and the Childcare Act 2006, every child between 3
and 4 years old is entitled to have 15 hours of free early yearsâ€TM education, over 38 weeks in the
year. The entitlement is funded by government via local authorities. The idea behind this is to make
sure all children have equal opportunities to education regardless of their social status. Also their
parents donâ€TMt have to pay for that 15 hours a week. Children will be learning through play. For
example, children will be learning to count to 10 through nursery rhyme and role play or they will be
learning the names of the colours through painting. Although there is some literacy targets included
within Early Years Foundation Stage, it is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The state schools all follow National Curriculum and are inspected by OFSTED. The differences
between the state schools are in the way they are managed. Although they get government money to
some extent, how they spending it, it depends on what type of school they are. For instance, most
voluntary aided schools are faith schools and the governing body of faith school is linked to a
particular faith or religion. The building or land of the school might be owned by religious charity or
church. They may also have assemblies in school to promote that particular faith or religious. There
are some types of schools that are not funded by local authorises. These are known as †̃independent
schoolsâ€TM and †̃academiesâ€TM. Below is the list of different type of schools in UK: Foundation
schools These types of schools have governing body and their admission policy is agreed with local
authority. Their building or land usually owned by governing bode or charitable foundation. Support
services are budgeted for and brought in. Trust schools They are similar to Foundation schools, but
they are different slightly that form a charitable Trust with an outside partner, like a charity or college.
Instead of having their own charitable Trust, they get help from outsider. Like Foundation schools,
support services are brought in school. Community schools This type of schools are run and owned by
local education authority and the support services are provided by local authority.

Dr. Bandura s Bobo Doll Experiment
1) What was Dr. Bandura s hypothesis? By watching the video about Dr. Bandura s Bobo doll
experiment, it is clear that his hypothesis was that children who see aggressive behavior tend to be
aggressive, while children who do not see aggressive behavior will probably not show an aggressive
behavior (Research Methods Presentation). Bandura s hypothesis was that children can learn about
aggressive behaviors by observing the action of others (Durkin, 1995, pp. 405 406).
2) What type of research study did Dr. Bandura conduct: true study, correlation, or naturalistic
observation? How do you know? This research is a true study, which is clear when one understands
the definitions of true study, correlation, and naturalistic observation. The textbook ... Show more

Mexican Revolution
Assignment 1: Major Causes of the revolution in Mexico.
Based on John Tutino, From Insurrection to Revolution in Mexico
The Mexican Revolution (1910 1917) was caused by a variety of factors. It is impossible to place the
blame on one single event or person because of the complexity of the Mexican people. One thing is
for sure, if people are deprived of food and water, they will find a way to obtain enough to survive.
History proves that in desperate times people will take matters into their own hands. When a countries
leadership wavers, and conditions become poor enough that people are starving, they will respond
negatively. It seems that any time the Mexicans lose the ability to grow their own maize they become
discontent. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Diaz had done well at expanding the economic system especially by producing a system of Mexican
Railroads. He is also given credit with the economic growth in the Southern Regions. Mexican land
owners were losing land for owing money. For example.
In Central Mexico, a heavily indebted Mariano Riva Palacio lost in 1870 the estates he had worked to
acquire since the 1830 s, and that had provided the economic base at Chalco that underlay his political
dominance of the state of Mexico for years.
Tutino also discussed how interaction with the French could also lead to loss of land. Large chunks of
land were broken up under Diaz, in order to redistribute lands in order to yield more productive areas
to generate commerce. Crop failures in 1907 were another cause; the people could not afford to import
American Maize, and were unable to grow their own crops for subsistence. All of these separate but
different events led to the people of Mexico revolting, and brought a significant amount of change to
the landscape of Mexico ever since. In the southern areas were uprisings were held to a minimum,
people were still able to feed themselves and their children. The Elite were still making money and
able to afford the near slave labor wages by giving the workers who migrated advances on their pay in
the off seasons, for a promise to go to work at a later date. This system was used in the North, but
ultimately failed

Performance Argument Analysis
For my performance concept, I will focus on how millennials are put to an unfair standard and set of
criticism. For the aspect of familiarity , I will set up a slide show of multiple articles that discuss how
millennials are lazy, self entitled, and selfish, etc. For the first 30 seconds, I will sit in a chair looking
at my phone. After that, I will stand up and spend a minute speaking of true stories of people my age
who are struggling to exist in this day and age despite their hard work. After a minute, I will realize I
m being ignored, and spend the last 30 seconds settling back in on my chair and looking back to my
phone, ignoring the articles in anger.
I will have the audience be sat in rows like any audience would be. This is because ... Show more

There will be a section of thirty seconds at the beginning and thirty seconds at the end where I do
nothing but look at my phone. However, when I start speaking I will begin a slow build of emotional
responses. I wish to be able to convey the frustration over time of how millennials are attempting to do
the best with what they have but to still be criticized for it. As my frustration builds, so will the speed
of my words as well as the volume. However, once the red spotlight is turned off, not only will the
passion of my words dwindle away but my sentences. This should convey the hopelessness at being
taken seriously or having my concerns addressed by those who are writing these articles behind me.
I hope to accomplish in this piece the juxtaposition of showing how many images and articles that
consider the millennial generation to be a passive and egocentric while I speak passionately about
stories and topics that affect this generation. Those of the millennial generation are even quick to
categorize their peers as being all of these terrible adjectives because that s what s been told to them. I
hope to cause the audience to question if we should believe labels that are placed upon them or to
think more critically why these labels are given to

Importance Of Electronic Discovery
1) Why is electronic discovery not an issue in some cases?
In some cases, electronic discovery is actually a good thing when it comes to litigation. Because of
electronic discovery, the law office is now becoming more green since paper documents are now being
replaced by electronic files (Goldman and Hughes, 273). Since documents are now becoming
electronic, someone can also search through millions of pages to find information quickly (Goldman
and Hughes, 273).
3) Why is electronic discovery a process? What are the steps in the process?
Electronic discovery is a process because there are many steps in the process rather than just one
single event (Goldman and Hughes, 250). The electronic discovery process first starts obtaining the
documents, then filtering the documents out for relevant terms. Next, duplicate copies of the
information must be removed. After that, the documents are converted into files that can be processed
like other electronic files. Finally, the document is given a code in order to make locating the
documents much easier (Goldman and Hughes, 273).
4) What are the issues to be considered in choosing the format in which documents are to be
delivered?
There are a variety of issues that must be considered when choosing a document s format of delivery.
The first issue is metadata. Metadata is information from a data set that may describe how, when and
by whom a document was received from (Goldman and Hughes, 254). Having metadata in a document
could result in

The Threat of Catheter-Related Infections
Clinical problem: Catheter related infections pose a detrimental threat to adult patients in intensive
care units with a central line. Effects of an infection include: an increase in the patients length of
hospital stay, morbidity and mortality rates, and hospital readmission rates.
Objective: To determine if the evidence based practice interventions studied and published can help to
decrease the rate of infection occurring in central lines.
Data sources: The search engine that was used to find three randomized controlled trial articles and
support my PICOT question was PubMed. Key terms that were used to search for them included
intensive care unit infections, chlorhexidine dressings, antiseptic solutions, and prevention methods
for catheter related infections. A clinical guideline for the prevention of intravascular catheter related
infection was retrieved from the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ).
Results: The clinical guideline from the AHRQ encouraged interventions like the chlorhexidine
impregnated sponge, antiseptic solution, and other precautious measures in order to reduce catheter
related infections. The research completed by Atahan and colleagues (2012), Timsit and colleagues
(2012), and Timsit and colleagues (2009) concluded that the use of 2% chlorhexidine gel tegaderm
dressing, chlorhexidine impregnated sponge, and the antiseptic solution has significantly helped to
reduce infection rates in catheters.

The Standards Of The Standard Oil Company
In the 1870 s through the 1900 s, the Standard Oil Company (SOC) has been the largest company in
one of the most rich industries in the world. The Standard Oil Company held a monopoly over the
entire industry, which meant that their wide variety of products must have been essential to many
types of people and industries. The SOC s ability to spread awareness of their company and their
products is a main reason why they became so powerful. The Standard Oil Company would not be
nearly as successful as it was if not for its widespread consumer base, the company became one of the
largest in history. This success lead it s CEO and founder, John D. Rockefeller, to become one of the
most rich people to ever live; he also gave away an extremely large portion of his wealth and make the
world a better place. Another way that the company s massive amount of various customers allowed
them to succeed is because oil has numerous uses and their products appealed to a wide variety of
people. This fact is important because oil s many different uses made it extremely appealing and
marketable to numerous and various audiences, thus allowing the company that controlled the industry
to skyrocket and create a monopoly. A monopoly had never really been done before in history and
with the huge amount of wealth it created for certain individuals, the wealthy were able to change the
world. Oil also led the world to many technological advancements and because of the current decrease

Mental Health Is Becoming Serious
The rapid escalation of youth and adults affected by mental health is becoming serious not just in
Indiana but all over the United States. In the last several years national tragedies and mass killings
such as Sandy Hook has placed our government in the position of reexamining and improving access
to mental health treatment. Although the government sees a great need for changing it s unhurried I
have witnessed mental health patients unable to get medication and have limited access to mental
health care due to lack of insurance or other barriers. Mental health comes in many different faces
some are being treated others are undiagnosed. The current economic crisis and environmental
violence has created a fracture within our community as we witness to an increase in murders among
youth we need to implement a change for our community in both mental and social services there is a
great need for committed individuals that are not in it for the money but who are in this field because
they care. This problem resonates deeply with me, I want to continue to grow in this field that I ve
been working in since I was twenty one years old to assist with being part of the solution to our
growing crisis. It is for this reason that I am applying to the graduate program in social work at IUPUI.
I seek the skills and knowledge needed to get me to the next level of helping our community heal.

A Project On Nickel Mine Opportunity
Project Procurement Description
The project, referred to as Nickel Mine Opportunity is a product of a comprehensive of options work
that led to a preliminary feasibility study which further farmed the project concept to an approximate
accuracy range of +/ 25 percent. The target schedule for the project is approximately 12 months. For
the project to be approved, the client holds the opinion that a contracting company engaged in the
preparation of a feasibility study must develop a study that define scope and cost to an accuracy of +/
15 percent.
The undertaking of the project will involve one or more development contractors who will work
closely with the lead contractor. Close collaboration among different contractors working on a project
is an effective way of achieving project objectives within set timelines (Binder, 2007). The execution
of the project will be undertaken by the contractor after approval via an appropriate procurement
contract. The client proposes a target schedule of project execution to start of production at
approximately 48 months.
Te concept of the scope of work is defined by the location and infrastructure elements that encompass
the project. The physical location of the Nickel Mine is approximately 1000km inland in the country
of Kumahatata, located in the African continent. Key infrastructural components that encompass the
project include offices, accommodation, and an aerodrome. The location and preliminary design of the
aerodrome is complete.

The Founding And Development Of The Sociology Of Youth
Zubok and Chuprov s research article The Founding and Development of the Sociology of Youth in
This Country (2009), focuses on the sociology of youth and the way it has developed and progressed
over the years. Beginning in the 1960s, the study of youth developed as a special area of research
(Zubok and Chuprov 2009:23), essentially focusing on the domestic life of young families (2009:23)
as expressed by E. Kabo, the ideas of peasant kids (2009:23) as explained by N. Rybnikov, and the
position of adolescent blue collar workers employed in production (2009:23) as presented by I.
Ianzhaul A. Bernshtein Kogan. Social scientist involved in the development of the study of youth
proposed the idea of establishing theoretical conceptions of social development of young people
(2009:26) so society would better understand youth and their actions. This development would
involve communicative rationality, which allowed social scientist to address the underlying issues
faced by youth, who at the time were unable to speak up about occurrences and decisions in society
that affected them. The platform through which communicative rationality presents itself occurred in
the first nationwide study titled A Social Portrait of Young People (Zubok and Chuprov 2009:23),
dedicated to addressing a diverse number of problems involving youth. The structure would: provide a
valid idea of the social makeup of young people and its constituent categories (Zubok and Chuprov

Political Party Vs. Politics
Political party or anything in connection with politics is a common topic of every group of Indian who
are sitting together at any place. It is always a debatable topic. Most of Indians are very much
interested in politics. We look at formation of many parties; we find that their establishment are
mainly due to ideological differences that result in split in parent party and at the end leads to
formation of a new political party with a new agenda.
In multi party system like India, the parties can be classified into three types i.e.; National parties,
Regional parties and State parties. The status of the party is granted by Election Commission of India
and after that it is reviewed occasionally. All the parties whether national, Regional or State party, they
are registered with Election Commission. A unique election symbol is given by the Election
Commission to every registered party
Currently there are 7 National parties and 56 State parties. The total number of registered
unrecognised parties in India is 1786. There are mainly nine regional parties out of 657 Regional
parties. There are 12 other upcoming parties.
The Election Commission mandates certain rules regarding starting a new political party in India like;
1. Every new party to have at least 100 members.[There are no set rules on how or who to recruit, it s
up to the party]
2. Each member is required to hold an Indian voter ID card.
3. Individuals must be 18 years old [major].

Human Cloning Should be Permitted Essay example
Human Cloning Should be Permitted
What would you say if I told you that scientists had just developed a new procedure that could lead
not only to the cure for cancer, but would provide an unlimited source of organ donors and could lead
to the first effective treatment of nerve damage? Now adding on to this scenario lets say that our
government was taking action to ban this new procedure because of a few myths and some loud
mouthed conservatives.
This scenario is true and is taking place with human cloning at this very moment. If you don t act fast
this crowning achievement of medical science could be lost forever. This procedure will be both a
contribution to science and a betterment of the human race. Human cloning will ... Show more content

It also could lead to a way to repair damaged nerves by cloning the nerve cells from the injured
person.
Millions of Americans suffer from a terrible neurological disorder known as Parkinson disease. This
disease affects the control of the muscles. Through the valuable information about genetics that we
will learn through cloning scientists could learn what causes Parkinson disease and learn how to treat
it better.
Nature has a cruel way of dooming innocent children to horribly short and painful lives. Genetically
inherited diseases such as hemophilia and Downs syndrome could be identified and treated while the
baby is still in the mothers womb. This could spare countless innocent children and parents from years
of horrible suffering.
Many couples that are infertile still have a great desire to create a new life however the current method
in vitro fertilization is very often ineffective. In fact it only results in a healthy pregnancy 10% of the
time. However cloning could be much more effective. Contrary to one of the biggest arguments
against cloning it would not effect the world s genetic diversity because the economics and emotional
factors would make very few parents choose cloning. The amount that will probably clone represents a
drop in the ocean of genetic diversity.
Since I began doing this project I have heard countless arguments against human cloning, however

Chinese Medicine As A Holistic Concept
Chinese Medicine as a Holistic Concept
Western medicine has four different areas: clinical, preventive, rehabilitation and general health care.
Western and Chinese medicine each has its own strengths in clinical and preventive medicine.
However, Chinese medicine has more advantages in rehabilitation and health care. Not all physicians
will agree with the practice of Traditional Chinese Medicine or TCM. Even though Chinese medicine
is not effective for all illnesses and disease, Chinese medicine should be recognized more around the
world because it focuses on holism, maintenance and low cost therapeutic treatments which will be

The meridian channel is used to pin point areas of illness in the body. Some of the ingredients include
red ginseng, fungus, and Chinese red dates. The herbs are dried well before usage to preserve
nutrients, tone down the smell and for storage purposes in antique shelves. These herbs are classified
into three categories. First, the herbs are determined hot or cold. Cold herbs such as licorice treat
symptoms such as high fever, sore throat and constipation. Warm herbs such as red ginseng treat cold
symptoms such as cold hands and feet. Second, the medicines have distinct flavors of sweet, sour,
bitter, and pungent. Third, the meridian channel is used to determine where the problems occur in the

Trans Fats
Trans fats are produced as a result of partial hydrogenation of the unsaturated fats18. Partially
hydrogenated oils have been used in the food products for their higher oxidative stability and the
harder texture they provide to the food product18. Several metabolic studies concluded that trans fats
increased the low density lipoprotein content and decreased the high density lipoprotien content of the
blood19 20. Other health effects of TFA include raising the fasting triacylglycerides (TAG) levels20
and increased Lp(a) levels20 and plasma concentrations of lipoproteins 19 which are associated with
increased risk for coronary heart disease. Trans fat consumption has been also linked to the occurrence
of coronary artery disease19. Studies also ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The process can be achieved by chemical or enzymatic routes. The change in the TAG composition
has been known to change the crystallization properties of the fats including the microstructure 28,
solid fat content29, rheology30 and the hardness of the fats. These properties determine the
spreadability, flavor release, hardness of fats in the final application. Schmidt et. al31 studied and
compared the physical properties of the blends of vegetable oil with fully hydrogenated vegetable oil
and their chemically interesterified randomized counterparts. The randomization of the fatty acids on
the TAGs caused a reduction in the melting point and the solid fat content of the samples31. Ahmadi

(CI) and enzymatically (EI) interesterified blends of fully hydrogenated canola oil (FHCO) and High
Oleic sunflower oil (HOCO) in different proportions. The change in the TAG composition did reduce

Gainesville Air Filter
What Is Air Filter?
An air filter is an important part of air conditioning Gainesville. It is a fibrous material that helps
remove dust, bacteria, pollen and mold from the air. Your air filter will need to be changed on a
regular basis. Changing an air filter is a relatively simple process.
The air conditioning Gainesville will need to be turned off before you change the filter. After that, the
old filter will need to be removed. The final step is to slide in the new filter. Filters typically have
colors or arrows on the front or back to indicate which side they should be side.
Filters come in many sizes. They can be disposable or permanent. Disposable filters are thrown away,
but permanent filters can be washed and reused.

Fate In The Crucible
A Twisted Fate
Prompt: A work of literature cannot be regarded as successful unless at its end the main character
meets a fate that seems to be the natural result of what he has done or shown himself to be. Show how
this statement is true in The Crucible.
Every dramatic play has a tragic hero with a twisted fate. John Proctor is the hero of a play called The
Crucible by Arthur Miller. John is a decent man who lives with his wife, Elizabeth Proctor, in Salem,
Massachusetts during the 17th century. Miller writes based on the popular interests of the people
during the 17th century and characterizes John as a persistent man who has pride in who he is. He also
includes values, motivations, and immoralities of the characters in the play. Successful ... Show more

John decides to confess because the judges think he has come to overthrow the court with contempt
and Abigail is successful in making herself seem as though she is the victim of her own deeds. After
he confesses, John encourages his wife to take his lead, Elizabeth, tell the truth! Elizabeth, I have
confessed it! (Miller 113). The importance of John s words is that they reveal one a cause of his
downfall having faith in Elizabeth not lying about his sin in front of the judges. This line is also
prominent because it helps the reader predict John s fate. Since the immorality of adultery is evident
when John is asked to list the Ten Commandments, one can infer that he will most likely be sentenced
to a harsh punishment after proving himself to be sinful in court. The scene in its entirety is intriguing

London Essay
With reference to one property development site within the City of London, critically appraise the
extent to which that development delivers successful modern property development whilst at the same
time respecting the historic sense of identity of the City of London as identified by Glinert.
The City of London sometimes referred to as the square mile denotes the area within the original old
walled city built by the Romans in about AD50.1 One can still see evidence of roman heritage by
visiting the London wall, built in around 200AD or the only roman built amphitheatre, which is

A particular building or site distinguishes many cities. For example the Eiffel tower is the symbol for
Paris and one may say Buckingham Palace is the symbol for London. This means that a city s identity
can be portrayed through its architecture and I believe that a building like the Lloyds building is not
appropriate for the prestigious City of London. The extent to which the Lloyds Building is a modern
success can definitely be questioned. One of the aims of locating the ugly serviceable components on
the outside is that costs are saved on repairs because everything is accessible. However the cost of
cleaning the external steel is so extortionate and frequent that the benefits are outweighed completely.
Also, now that it is Grade 1 listed it means alternations are extremely hard to make. The whole point
of the design was that the building could be changed and re ordered like Meccano. This means it can
no longer even achieve one of the primary objectives that were in mind when it was built. This is one
of the main reasons I believe it does not represent a successful modern property development . In the
summer of 2013 it was reported: The outgoing chief executive of Lloyd s of London blamed the
design of the insurer s headquarters for its high maintenance costs 6and that Lloyds are considering
terminating their lease when the next break clause occurs in 2021. With regards to respecting the
historic sense of identity in

Limitations Of Globalization
Looking around my desk: a computer, glass mug, textbooks, a microphone, and various small
mementos; just in the close vicinity I have more products of globalization than an entire household
just a few centuries ago. Globalization is the flow of culture, a byproduct of spreading technology and
economic influence. This process has allowed the world once stricken with distinct cultures and
borders to consolidate into a functioning machine like entity. This entity not only delivers the products
seen on my desk, but it also has the potential to do wonders. For example, Thomas Friedman proposes
the theory that globalization is not merely an efficient machine but a mechanism for peace in his book
The World Is Flat. This peace is held together through a symbiotic relationship, with each component
secured with their place in line. While his theory seems promising it is important to evaluate both
sides to look for practical limitations or exploitations.
Why does globalization exist, why are countries softening their borders and working together in an
unprecedented new way? The answer to this question is demand. The demand to have the latest phone,
laptop, or artistically woven basket made by a designer from across the globe. In order to deliver the
product and meet the demand what needs to occur Friedman labels the supply chain symphony (126).
Factories in China need to know when and where the products for their device are located, even before
the customer orders it. This requires

Essay on Exegesis of Matthew
Exegesis of the Gospel according to Matthew Chapter 5:3 12
The Eight Beatitudes
In Matthew s Gospel, starting with Chapter five verses three through twelve, Jesus tells us of the Eight
Beatitudes. These verses are much like The Ten Commandments in nature, but more philosophical:
· Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven.
· Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.
· Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the Earth.
· Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.
· Blessed are those who are merciful, for they shall obtain mercy.
· Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.
· Blessed are the peacemakers, for they ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The beatitudes are just a sample of the many teachings that this book has to offer. The text itself
written by Matthew, one of Jesus disciples, does coincide with the beatitudes written by another of
Jesus disciples; Luke. Only Luke writes the beatitudes a little differently than Matthew. One example
of the differences is in the first beatitude where Matthew writes, Blessed are the poor in spirit where
as Luke recorded Jesus as saying only, Blessed are the poor By annexing in spirit Luke suggests that
only the monetarily poor belong in God s kingdom, where Matthew seems to state that material status
or social poverty alone are not the standards for faith. All throughout the beatitudes there seems to be
the theme that it does not matter what is on the outside, but God sees and is only concerned with the
inside of his children. Their hearts and their souls. It doesn t appear God cares much for material
wealth or success in the world, but more so for what is in mans heart. Luke suggests ‘the poor should
be monetarily poor, and if they have any wealth they should give it all up to those more needy to give
glory to God. Money and wealth may be seen by some as a sign of being in God s favor with darker
signs and adversity a sign of some sort of punishment. Which should not be the case at all, Matthew
seems to add in spirit more to identify wealth and social status is not the standard by which God will
judge. Money and wealth do have an

Identifying An Unknown Solid Using Melting Point
Identifying an Unknown Solid Using Melting Point and Mixed Melting Point Data

The experimenters inserted a capillary tube containing approximately 2 to 3 mm of benzoic acid into a
manual Mel Temp melting point apparatus. With the Mel Temp dial set between 3 and 4, the
temperature increased at a steady rate of approximately 2° C per minute from a plateau set at 90° C.
The first appearance of liquid occurred at 119° C, and the benzoic acid completely melted by 122° C
giving a melting point range of 119° C to 122° C for benzoic acid. Repeating the procedure for 2
naphthol returned a melting point range of 118° C to 123° C. Next, a 1:1 mixture of benzoic acid and

Discussion
A pure organic compound melts or freezes fairly sharply over a specific temperature range called its
melting point. This physical constant can help identify a substance. Generally, any impurity added to a
pure substance will lower its observed melting point and increase the range over which melting
occurs. Therefore, when two pure organic substances possess a similar melting point, a mixture
containing both substances will often melt at a lower temperature and over a broader range.
Conversely, if a mixture of a known and unknown substance actually contains a single substance, the
melting point of the mixture will not deviate from the melting point of the known.
Davis (1913) demonstrated that pairs of substances with similar melting points melted at lower
temperatures and over broader melting ranges when mixed. Since the separation and purification of a
compound from food or excretions often leaves toxicologists with very little material to examine,
Davis (1913) recommended the use of melting point and mixed melting point data for

Nurse Practitioners (NP) to be 1) supervised by, 2) perform delegated tasks from or 3) work as part of
a team managed by, a medical doctor or dentist (American Association of Nurse Practitioners, 2014).
To obtain an APRN license in SC requires a RN license, in good standing, a graduate degree and

National Certifying Board Options for South Carolina
There are two main certifying options, the AACN and the ANCC, for the state of SC (South Carolina

Profession Education Association Essay
What is the purpose of a profession education association? An association can be defined as a
synergistic group, meaning that the effect of a collection of people is greater than just one person
(Cherwin, 2010). Being part of a professional association can be very beneficial to a teacher s job.
Associations can help professionals network and/or meet other professionals in the same field.
Participants often find support from others and gain knowledge by learning about new things, ideas,
etc. about their career. Many times journals, magazines, and newsletters are provided with
membership. Associations also offer career resources such as tips for effective resumes, providing job
leads, and assist with negotiations of contracts, etc.
As with any profession, there are many professional association in which teachers can join. Some of
them include the National Education Association (NEA), the American Federation of Teachers (AFT),

Concussions Or Mild Traumatic Brain Injuries
Concussions or mild traumatic brain injuries (MTBI) are the most common forms of traumatic brain
injury. There are between 1.6 and 3.8 million concussions a year that occur due to sports and
recreation accidents alone (CDC). Mild concussions and MTBIs were once thought to be insignificant
in terms of consequences. However, there now is significant evidence that neurological even with
what is thought to be a mild injury, physiological, and cognitive changes can occur. Individuals
sustaining mild brain injuries often report an assortment of physical, cognitive, and
emotional/behavioral symptoms referred to as post concussion syndrome (PCS). There are many
symptoms associated with PCS, but these symptoms are often mistaken as behavior, mood, and/or
adjustment disorders.
A concussion is a type of traumatic brain injury (TBI) that results from a bump, blow, or jolt to the
head or body that causes the head to move quickly. The sudden movement can cause the brain to move
in the skull. This movement can result in stretching and damaging the brain cells and create chemical
changes in the brain. A young brain may more susceptible to the chemical changes that occur in the
brain after a concussion. These changes may lead symptoms that affect their cognitive, physical,
emotional, and sleep functions. While concussions affect people differently, most people will have
symptoms that last for a few days to a week. More serious concussions may last for weeks, months or
even longer. (Davies,

mostly because she is nonconformist.
The first reason why Squeaky is a memorable character is because she is a confident character. For

A Comparison Between Macbeth And The Bible
There are multiple connections between Macbeth and the Bible, the strongest of which are seen in the
two books from the Bible, Genesis and 1 Samuel. Macbeth takes the characters of Adam and Eve from
Genesis, and uses them as a basis for the two main characters of Macbeth , Macbeth and Lady
Macbeth. Just as Eve tempts Adam to go against the direct instruction of God, Lady Macbeth
convinces Macbeth to murder the king, Lady Macbeth and Eve are both seen as the temptress to
Macbeth and Adam, and they are punished equally in both stories, either by death, or expulsion from
their home with God. 1 Samuel demonstrates the origins of the Divine Right of Kings: that no one was
able to go against the King, for he was God s appointed one. Macbeth takes it further and
demonstrates what happens to the one who does kill the King, that they bring upon themselves only
misery, and eventually death. Macbeth and the Bible have numerous resemblances to each other,
indicating how Shakespeare used his Biblical knowledge, which was common in the Elizabethan era,
to influence his plays.
There is a strong connection between story lines of Macbeth and Genesis chapter three. They both
have a man and a woman, who are associated with prominent individuals, Macbeth and Lady Macbeth
are associated with King Duncan, and Adam and Eve and in the Garden of Eden with God. They hear
of a way, or prophecy which could raise them to a higher position, either King, or equal to God. In

Companies that were going bankrupt months before were now literally begging for labourers and
some even suffered from a shortage of workers. This was mainly due to the rapid production levels the
country needed to produce military equipment including ammunition and vehicles etc. A short time
after the U.S. declaration of war, the unemployment rate dropped a massive ten per cent from its
previous amount. After taxes, business profits almost doubled and industrial output increased
massively at 96 per cent. Government expenditure also sored dramatically to 53 per cent of GDP at its
peak in 1945, in comparison to around 20 per cent of GDP previous to the war. This contributed to
business recovery and gave companies the kick start they needed. Due to productivity doubling,
consumer goods also expanded. The war consumed one third of industrial output and this ensured a
constant supply of goods, the U.S being the only country with a significant rise in supply despite
rationing. Wages also rose 50 per cent higher by 1944, this was a combination of over time pay and
wage increases etc.
Men were drafted out to fight in the war in large numbers which contributed to unemployment figures
creating jobs for others. Those that previously were skilled, high paid labourers and worked in
industries such as welding etc. were forced to sign up to the military.

The Oppression Of Women In Today s Western Culture
There have been many unspoken agreements made in the past 250 or so years of western culture.
There s an understanding in our community that some things just are because they are, especially

Concentration Camp Auschwitz Essay
Hitler s infamous concentration camp Auschwitz became well known as one of the most brutal camps
of the Holocaust. However, it was more than just an excruciating death center. It was a place where
German SS and Nazi officers broke prisoners mentally and physically. Millions of innocent lives came
to an end there. Considered one of the worst concentration camps ever, Auschwitz was known for its
methodical organization, horrendous treatment of prisoners, and an atrocious death toll. Auschwitz
was made up of three camps including Auschwitz I, Auschwitz II Birkenau, and Auschwitz III
Monowitz. Auschwitz I and Monowitz were labor camps where the SS forced prisoners to do
strenuous amounts of work. Birkenau was notoriously known as the main extermination camp and
held the biggest number of Auschwitz prisoners by far. Germans have claimed these camps were made
for three reasons. To overpower the enemy, give the SS free labor forces, and to have a site to kill
people that went against their dictator s regime. As Auschwitz grew, the Nazi s constructed more than
forty sub camps within the three main camps. Auschwitz began being built in 1940, in Oswiecim,
Poland. The Nazi s didn t waste any time after that to start deporting prisoners there. By 1941,
Auschwitz s operation already had 10,000 Jews in their barracks. That number only grew and grew

balance between the planet s different life forms and geological systems. This essay will include
exploring theories and deciding whether we have an individual moral responsibility towards the
environment. Many people believe that as humans, we do have a moral responsibility towards the
environment and we must preserve and protect it for the future generations. However, others take an
anthropocentric view and they ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Aldo Leopold s book Sound County Almanac inspired a new approach to the environment and an
interest in ecology as a science, the book calls for a new approach to the environment. In it he writes a
thing is right when it tends to preserve the integrity, stability and beauty of the bionic community, it is
wrong when it tends otherwise this means that when the earth becomes a thing which is manipulated
to the advantage of humans then it is wrong. Aarne Naess wrote the book The Shallow and the Deep,
Long Range Ecology Movement where he states that there are two ecology movements, the first being
concerned with pollution, the depletion of natural resources, and usefulness of Earth for Humans and
the second concerned with the richness, diversity and intrinsic value of all the natural world this being
deep ecology. This movement maintains that animals and aspects of the natural world have rights.
Everything is seen as an integral part of a complex system which needs to be respected. We have a
personal, moral responsibility to preserve it. Naess rejected the idea that humans are more important
because they have a soul, the use of reason or a consciousness, he said that humans are simply a part
of nature and all species have a right to exist for their own sake. He opposes the view of stewardship
and sees it as arrogant and dependent on the idea of superiority, which underlies the thought that

Macbeth Rhetorical Devices Essay
Ray Comfort, a New Zealand evangelist, once said: Rhetoric, which is the use of language to inform
or persuade, is very important in shaping public opinion. We are very easily fooled by language and
how it is used by others. Rhetoric can be used to inform, persuade, and inspire. Writers will use
rhetoric to shape their characters feelings and attitudes. The writers want the characters to differ, so
they can represent the different factions of the human persona. This personality is created by the
character s usage of rhetorical devices, such as diction, dialect, or tone. A character s attitude towards
other characters is shaped by their rhetoric as well. In William Shakespeare s Macbeth and John
Bunyan s Pilgrim s Progress, two fantastical ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
She speaks with sharp words riddled with rhetorical questions. When she is given Macbeth s letter, her
following monologue is full of nefarious emotion: Come you spirits that tend on mortal thoughts,
unsex me here, and fill me from the crown to the toe top full of direst cruelty. Make thick my blood.
Stop up th access and passage to remorse . . . (1.5.47 51). Her plea for a detached mind creates utmost
irony, for Lady Macbeth is a character that relies purely on emotion, albeit wicked. In asking for no
emotion, she becomes solely dependent on her emotions. She later prepares herself for what she and
her husband must do to Duncan: Come thick night, and pall thee in the dunnest smoke of hell, that my
keen knife not see the wound it makes, nor heaven peep through the blanket of the dark to cry Hold,
hold! (1.5.57 61). Giving up her femininity and allowing hell to preserve her shows unnerving
dedication. Lustful for power, Lady Macbeth is willing to literally do anything to place her husband on
the throne. Therefore, she shows devotion to both her causes and Macbeth. She, like her husband, is
honorable to her causes. Later she uses her manipulative diction to convince her husband to kill
Duncan. She continually berates him: Was the hope drunk wherein you dressed yourself? Hath it slept
since? And wakes it now, to look so green and pale at what it did so freely? From this time

Sears Performance Management Implementation
Performance Management Implementation According to Sears Holding, Sears is the leading integrated
retailer. This retailor focuses on everything from digital to physical shopping experience. Sears is
known for their Shop Your Way, which is a social shopping website that enables members to receive
rewards for shopping at Sears and Kmart as well as other partners according to Sears Holding. The
company generally operates through subsidiaries that include Sears, Roebuck and Co and Kmart.
According to Forbes, Sears reportedly made over 1 billion in profit in 2017. Unfortunately, before
2017 Sears revenue reportedly continued to fall. According to Kern and Rucci, Sears developed a
conceptional model of performance that links employees, customers, and shareholders in a causal
chain. The model is known for three C s, creation of a compelling place to work, compelling place to
shop, and a compelling place to invest (Kirn,Rucci, Huselid, and Becker,1998). In 1995, Sears put
together a team of skilled econometrics to help gather data from 800 stores throughout the system
(Kirn,Rucci, Huselid, and Becker,1998). The analyses gathered confirmed that Sears corporate
financial performance is the issue that is lagging the organization behind but this information didn t
really provide detailed information. After experimenting, Sears was able to create a conceptual model
of a casual chain, involving employees, customers, stakeholder (Kirn,Rucci, Huselid, and
Becker,1998). The strategic

  • 2. The TRACE Model The TRACE model accounts for WF effects as studies have found that participants gaze at words presented prior and after LF words for a longer duration than the words surrounding the HF words (Rayner Duffy, 1986). Thus, as the model encompasses top down and bottom up processing (McClelland Elman, 1986), quicker responses may be induced for HF words, as when individuals read LF words they may analyse surrounding words to assess the context of the text, which consequently slows them down. Whereas, this process is not necessarily required for HF words, due to the familiarity of the context the words are used in. Furthermore, the TRACE model accounts for WS effects as exemplified by Williams and Gaffney (1985) as eight participants ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Thus, the model s flexibility and universality allows a greater applicability to these effects and variations, such as developmental disorders that can impact them. accurately in a string of letters when presented in an actual word, compared to a non word or a single isolated letter (Baron, 2014). Thus, as both models only incorporate bottom up processing, which is more useful when processing individual letters (Starrfelt, Petersen, Vangkilde, 2013), they cannot account for WS as it would be difficult to efficiently detect letters within words. However, the TRACE model by McClelland and Elman (1986) accounts for both effects as it is an interactive processing model whereby visual and auditory inputs are interpreted by their features, before progressing to either the letter or phenome level and subsequently advancing to the word level to retrieve suitable candidates, as shown in Figure 2. The Logogen model accounts for word frequency (WF) effects, which is based on the premise that high frequency (HF) words are used more regularly so they are easier to recognise than low frequency (LF) words that are used scarcely (Murrell Morton, 1974). Rayner and Duffy (1986) illustrate this as participants fixated and gazed longer at LF words compared to HF words, potentially as infrequent words are not easily accessed within the lexicon. Consequently, as a Logogen has to reach a specific threshold to be activated, HF words are stimulated quicker than LF ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Based on John Tutino, From Insurrection to Revolution in Mexico The Mexican Revolution (1910 1917) was caused by a variety of factors. It is impossible to place the blame on one single event or person because of the complexity of the Mexican people. One thing is for sure, if people are deprived of food and water, they will find a way to obtain enough to survive. History proves that in desperate times people will take matters into their own hands. When a countries leadership wavers, and conditions become poor enough that people are starving, they will respond negatively. Diaz had done well at expanding the economic system especially by producing a system of Mexican Railroads. He is also given credit with the economic growth in the Southern Regions. Mexican land owners were losing land for owing money. For example. In Central Mexico, a heavily indebted Mariano Riva Palacio lost in 1870 the estates he had worked to acquire since the 1830 s, and that had provided the economic base at Chalco that underlay his political dominance of the state of Mexico for years. Tutino also discussed how interaction with the French could also lead to loss of land. Large chunks of land were broken up under Diaz, in order to redistribute lands in order to yield more productive areas to generate commerce. Crop failures in 1907 were another cause; the people could not afford to import American Maize, and were unable to grow their own crops for subsistence. All of these separate but different events led to the people of Mexico revolting, and brought a significant amount of change to the landscape of Mexico ever since. • 11. Importance Of Electronic Discovery 1) Why is electronic discovery not an issue in some cases? In some cases, electronic discovery is actually a good thing when it comes to litigation. Because of electronic discovery, the law office is now becoming more green since paper documents are now being replaced by electronic files (Goldman and Hughes, 273). Since documents are now becoming electronic, someone can also search through millions of pages to find information quickly (Goldman and Hughes, 273). 3) Why is electronic discovery a process? What are the steps in the process? Electronic discovery is a process because there are many steps in the process rather than just one single event (Goldman and Hughes, 250). The electronic discovery process first starts obtaining the documents, then filtering the documents out for relevant terms. Next, duplicate copies of the information must be removed. After that, the documents are converted into files that can be processed like other electronic files. Finally, the document is given a code in order to make locating the documents much easier (Goldman and Hughes, 273). 4) What are the issues to be considered in choosing the format in which documents are to be delivered? There are a variety of issues that must be considered when choosing a document s format of delivery. The first issue is metadata. Metadata is information from a data set that may describe how, when and by whom a document was received from (Goldman and Hughes, 254). Having metadata in a document could result in ... This development would involve communicative rationality, which allowed social scientist to address the underlying issues faced by youth, who at the time were unable to speak up about occurrences and decisions in society that affected them. The platform through which communicative rationality presents itself occurred in the first nationwide study titled A Social Portrait of Young People (Zubok and Chuprov 2009:23), dedicated to addressing a diverse number of problems involving youth. The extent to which the Lloyds Building is a modern success can definitely be questioned. However the cost of cleaning the external steel is so extortionate and frequent that the benefits are outweighed completely. Limitations Of Globalization Looking around my desk: a computer, glass mug, textbooks, a microphone, and various small mementos; just in the close vicinity I have more products of globalization than an entire household just a few centuries ago. Globalization is the flow of culture, a byproduct of spreading technology and economic influence. This process has allowed the world once stricken with distinct cultures and borders to consolidate into a functioning machine like entity. This entity not only delivers the products seen on my desk, but it also has the potential to do wonders. For example, Thomas Friedman proposes the theory that globalization is not merely an efficient machine but a mechanism for peace in his book The World Is Flat. This peace is held together through a symbiotic relationship, with each component secured with their place in line. While his theory seems promising it is important to evaluate both sides to look for practical limitations or exploitations. Why does globalization exist, why are countries softening their borders and working together in an unprecedented new way? The answer to this question is demand. The demand to have the latest phone, laptop, or artistically woven basket made by a designer from across the globe. In order to deliver the product and meet the demand what needs to occur Friedman labels the supply chain symphony (126). Factories in China need to know when and where the products for their device are located, even before the customer orders it. This requires ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The text itself written by Matthew, one of Jesus disciples, does coincide with the beatitudes written by another of Jesus disciples; Luke. Only Luke writes the beatitudes a little differently than Matthew. One example of the differences is in the first beatitude where Matthew writes, Blessed are the poor in spirit where as Luke recorded Jesus as saying only, Blessed are the poor By annexing in spirit Luke suggests that only the monetarily poor belong in God s kingdom, where Matthew seems to state that material status or social poverty alone are not the standards for faith. All throughout the beatitudes there seems to be the theme that it does not matter what is on the outside, but God sees and is only concerned with the inside of his children. Their hearts and their souls. It doesn t appear God cares much for material wealth or success in the world, but more so for what is in mans heart. Luke suggests ‘the poor should be monetarily poor, and if they have any wealth they should give it all up to those more needy to give glory to God. Money and wealth may be seen by some as a sign of being in God s favor with darker signs and adversity a sign of some sort of punishment. Which should not be the case at all, Matthew seems to add in spirit more to identify wealth and social status is not the standard by which God will judge. Money and wealth do have an ... This physical constant can help identify a substance. Generally, any impurity added to a pure substance will lower its observed melting point and increase the range over which melting occurs. Therefore, when two pure organic substances possess a similar melting point, a mixture containing both substances will often melt at a lower temperature and over a broader range. Conversely, if a mixture of a known and unknown substance actually contains a single substance, the melting point of the mixture will not deviate from the melting point of the known. Davis (1913) demonstrated that pairs of substances with similar melting points melted at lower temperatures and over broader melting ranges when mixed. Since the separation and purification of a compound from food or excretions often leaves toxicologists with very little material to examine, Davis (1913) recommended the use of melting point and mixed melting point data for

There are between 1.6 and 3.8 million concussions a year that occur due to sports and recreation accidents alone (CDC). Mild concussions and MTBIs were once thought to be insignificant in terms of consequences. However, there now is significant evidence that neurological even with what is thought to be a mild injury, physiological, and cognitive changes can occur. Individuals sustaining mild brain injuries often report an assortment of physical, cognitive, and emotional/behavioral symptoms referred to as post concussion syndrome (PCS). A concussion is a type of traumatic brain injury (TBI) that results from a bump, blow, or jolt to the head or body that causes the head to move quickly. • 37. A Comparison Between Macbeth And The Bible There are multiple connections between Macbeth and the Bible, the strongest of which are seen in the two books from the Bible, Genesis and 1 Samuel. Macbeth takes the characters of Adam and Eve from Genesis, and uses them as a basis for the two main characters of Macbeth , Macbeth and Lady Macbeth. Just as Eve tempts Adam to go against the direct instruction of God, Lady Macbeth convinces Macbeth to murder the king, Lady Macbeth and Eve are both seen as the temptress to Macbeth and Adam, and they are punished equally in both stories, either by death, or expulsion from their home with God. 1 Samuel demonstrates the origins of the Divine Right of Kings: that no one was able to go against the King, for he was God s appointed one. Macbeth takes it further and demonstrates what happens to the one who does kill the King, that they bring upon themselves only misery, and eventually death. Macbeth and the Bible have numerous resemblances to each other, indicating how Shakespeare used his Biblical knowledge, which was common in the Elizabethan era, to influence his plays. There is a strong connection between story lines of Macbeth and Genesis chapter three. They both have a man and a woman, who are associated with prominent individuals, Macbeth and Lady Macbeth are associated with King Duncan, and Adam and Eve and in the Garden of Eden with God.
