of stress. Exams, homework, after school clubs, jobs, college, relationships, it s all
running through our heads at every second of every day. With a jammed packed

some slack. If that could come in the form of a better night s sleep, we d be
eternally grateful. This schedule change might impact after school sports and
clubs, but not by much. It would only involve starting games and practices an hour

which kids they pick up first. The parents would be grateful to have their little kids

Charles Percier and Pierre Francois Leonard Fontaine decorated the Chateau de
Malmaison for Napoleon Bonaparte and Josephine de Beauharnais. Napoleon and
Josephine were married in 1796 when he was 26 years old. She had two children
from her previous marriageand was a 32 year old widow of a man who had been

After the divorce, Percier s protege, Louis Martin Berthault, redecorated Josephine
s bedroom in a sumptuous tent style. It s possible that the tent theme stemmed
from a desire to evoke the militaristic victories of Napoleon. Allusions to Napoleon
s militaristic accomplishments had been on show throughout the chateau. Textiles
had been being used as coverings for walls for long before the Empire era style of
interior design. At Malmaison, Percier and Fontaine raised textiles all the way up
to the ceiling, draped them over doors, and even hung them loosely like curtains.
Opulent tents and wall hangings were also associated with the ancient Roman
Empire. Napoleon often identified stylistically and politically with Rome s golden
age. He modeled portraits of himself after the monarchs of the ancient regime,
which he helped to overthrow. It may have been a similar self conscious move on
the part of Percier Fontaine and Josephine to cover the interiors of the Malmaison
with pricey and expensive fabrics. Napoleon s Council Room, one of the rooms
that included a tent style ceiling, was where the First Consul meet with his

Many events have led up to the shaping of the ANZAC legend along with various
individuals and groups contributing to how these events took place. The ANZAC
legend is also known as the ANZAC myth, referring to the representation of
Australians and New Zealanders that fought for their countries (Australian War
