INTRODUCTION
 Now a day, renewable energy is the best form of
clean energy due to high penetration of solar and wind
energy.
 In the upgrade system we can integrate renewable
energy system to the grid and manage the power
supply to every consumer in a smart way.
 The main challenging task is to storage of energy
stability and co-ordinate control of power in large
scale.
 In this smart grid there is a new technology used i.e
the two way communication and transmission of
information between all parts of the grid.
 In this technology the problem occurred in a certain
section can be detected in faster way.

BATTERY STORAGE MANAGEMENT
AND OPTIMIZATION MODEL
 In normal grid the power supply is not
dependent on the weather conditions.
 we know in winter season a consumer
consumes less electricity then in summer season
but we can supply same amount of electricity in
both the seasons, due to this reason loss of
energy occurs.
 To evacuate this problem we use storage system
in smart grid.
 The sustainable sources like coal and gas will
be replaced by the imperishable wind and solar
4
 An important bottleneck of sustainable energy is
its fluctuating supply, which rarely runs parallel
to demand to overcome this problem the only one
solution is storage but it is not an easy one now a
days.
 The way we use to store energy is costly.
 So we have to develop a new technology to store
the energy.
 Energy management systems (EMSs) and
optimization methods are required to effectively
and safely utilize energy storage as a flexible grid
asset that can provide multiple grid services.

OPTIMIZATION STRATEGIES IN A
COST EFFECTIVE MANNER
 In smart grid the storage is the main thing which
is more costly in this project.
 It is costly because we have to use more number
of batteries to store the energy.
 If we optimize the number of battery or we can
use a new technology to store the energy the
cost will be optimized.
 If we use solar and wind in place of coal and gas
to generate electricity we can optimize the cost.
STABILITY AND CO-ORDINATE
CONTROL OF POWER IN LARGE
SCALE
 For stability and Co-ordinate control of power
system is installed in the grid.
 After storing all the energy from the different
sources after that we can supply the power to the
large scale as per the requirement.
 Let take an example of a large scale industries
where but use of smart grid we can supply
power.
 This smart grid can supply power to all
electrical equipments of the industry and control
without any fluctuation.
8
9
 For stable flow of electricity we can use a
storage system in the smart grid, which provide
electricity to all over the industries requirement.
ADVANTAGE OF SMART GRID
OVER NORMAL GRID
 The conventional grid is having are way
communication. But smart grid uses two digital
communications.
 The conventional grid uses centralized
generation and smart grid uses distributed
generation.
 The conventional grid will have limited sensors
where as smart grid is equipped with sensors
throughout.
10
FUTURE SCOPE
 The winds spread energy demands are fulfill by
smart grids which will make renewable power
attainable.
 We reduce the cost of electricity. We get 24*7
power supply.
11
CONCLUSION
12
 Undoubtedly, the future recognized smart grid
and the power generation to be the most power
full energy sources.
 With the utility of renewable energy in the grid,
the electric city cost is decreased drastically and
their by continuous power supply is obtained.
 In future the life span of battery will be
increased. By using of renewable energies in the
grid the cost of the electricity is decreased. We
get the power every time.
