PRESENTATION ON
RELATION OF LIFE SCIENCE WITH OTHER SCHOOL SUBJECTS
INTRODUCTION
 is a integral part of our life.
 deals with natural science that studies life and living organisms, including
their physical structure, chemical processes, molecular interactions,
physiological mechanisms, development and evolution.
 Gives idea about the origin of life.
Concept of Correlation
 means connection between two or more thing.
E.g. :Biophysics, Biochemistry, Geophysics etc.
To show similarity or dependence of one subject on another.
 develops mental abilities such as logical thinking, imagination power.
Relation with different subjects
MATHEMATICS
 Soul language of science.
Laws such as Mendel’s, Darwin
are based on mathematical
expression.
Algebraic equation, graph,
statistics , probability are useful
tools.
 Helps in data collection and
analysis during research work.
CHEMISTRY
Study of molecules, ions
or chemical reaction that
occur in living organisms
as well as in laboratory.
Body made up of organic
and inorganic materials.
Eg; DNA, RNA, Protein,
Fats, Hormone, Enzymes
Relation with different subject
PHYSICS
 Mainly deals with motion,
Energy and force.
Instruments such as
microscope, X-rays, ECG are
based on the principle of
physics.
Helps to explain how
animals use sound waves to
navigate in the dark and how
wings give insects the ability
to move through the air.
GEOGRAPHY
Distribution of plants
and animals vary
different geographical
factors such as climate,
altitude, temperature,
etc.
Closely related with
evolution of culture and
scientific progress.
Relation with different subject
ECONOMICS
 deals with the production,
distribution, and consumption
of goods and services.
Gives ideas about loss and
profit
Important for proper
adjustment in the production
of crops and animals.
SOCIOLOGY
 deals with the human
related with origin,
distribution, relationship and
culture.
Study of human behaviour,
social relationship and
antisocial relationship needs
the idea of sociology.
Conclusion
Life science is a natural science which is all about the environment,
human life, plant cell, animals, its functions, evolutions and all other
living organisms around us. The main view of studying biology is to
know about ourselves, body parts, nature around us, etc. It is the most
interesting subject which is all about life, its composition, development
and about nature, environment, experiments, inventions and lot more.
