The document summarizes recent developments in China's food additives regulations. It provides an overview of China's food additives regulation system and the major regulatory bodies. It then discusses two key updates: 1) Revisions made to China's Food Safety Law in 2015, including provisions related to risk assessment, standards, production and import requirements for food additives. 2) Revisions made to GB 2760-2014, China's standard for uses of food additives, which consolidated notices, removed sections to be covered by other standards, modified carry-over principles and appendix information.
An expert presented on key changes to China's new Food Safety Law and implications for imported foods:
1) Authority over food safety has been consolidated under the National Health and Family Planning Commission, with stricter standards, fines, and penalties for non-compliance.
2) Imported foods must meet national food safety standards and be accompanied by inspection certificates, with importers responsible for verifying exporters' compliance. Recalls are now required if imported foods are found to be non-compliant.
3) For foods without Chinese standards, importers must register alternative standards and China may develop its own. Importers must also keep detailed records and maintain good credit to avoid import restrictions.

1. Codex committees that establish food standards for additives, residues, hygiene practices, etc.
2. A code of ethics for food trade that states food should be safe, wholesome, and not adulterated or mislabeled. Principles include establishing food standards, ensuring hygienic practices, and proper labeling.
3. Requirements for countries exporting food to conform to legislation and standards of importing countries. Importing countries can reject non-compliant food and suspend imports if issues persist.
ISO is an international standard-setting body established in 1947 that has published over 18,000 standards. ISO 22000 specifies requirements for a food safety management system that can be applied throughout the food supply chain. It aims to ensure safe food and facilitate international trade. Key aspects of ISO 22000 include identifying food safety hazards, establishing prerequisite programs and implementing a HACCP plan. There are also supporting standards for specific industries like manufacturing and catering that provide additional requirements. Certification to ISO 22000 allows companies to demonstrate their food safety system to customers and authorities.

The GACC (General Administration of Customs of China) updated its regulations on food imports to take effect on January 1, 2022. The new regulations expand the scope of registration, adjust the registration methods, clarify responsibilities of all parties, and extend the validity period of registration from 4 to 5 years. Key changes include expanding registration to include processing and storage companies for all food types rather than just high-risk foods. The registration process was also adjusted, with on-site assessments to be conducted when needed rather than for all applications. Responsibilities of foreign companies and competent authorities are further clarified under the new rules.

Understanding User Needs and Satisfying ThemAggregage
https://www.productmanagementtoday.com/frs/26903918/understanding-user-needs-and-satisfying-them
We know we want to create products which our customers find to be valuable. Whether we label it as customer-centric or product-led depends on how long we've been doing product management. There are three challenges we face when doing this. The obvious challenge is figuring out what our users need; the non-obvious challenges are in creating a shared understanding of those needs and in sensing if what we're doing is meeting those needs.
In this webinar, we won't focus on the research methods for discovering user-needs. We will focus on synthesis of the needs we discover, communication and alignment tools, and how we operationalize addressing those needs.
Industry expert Scott Sehlhorst will:
• Introduce a taxonomy for user goals with real world examples
• Present the Onion Diagram, a tool for contextualizing task-level goals
• Illustrate how customer journey maps capture activity-level and task-level goals
• Demonstrate the best approach to selection and prioritization of user-goals to address
• Highlight the crucial benchmarks, observable changes, in ensuring fulfillment of customer needs
