Gender and Dress Code High school dress codes are rules for clothing that is deemed either
appropriate or inappropriate to wear to school. Standard codes in public schools, that don t have
uniforms, typically require students to have sleeved garments and leg wear that is a certain length.
At some schools, the term leg wear doesn t include leggings, while other schools permit leggings as
long as your shirt or other clothing reaches the length that shorts are required to meet. After
attending five public schools, three of which during my high school career, I can verify that these
were typically the enforced rules. All schools also had rules against hats and certain headgear,
though exceptions would sometimes be made, such as in the case of spirit week. My most
recent school has, for the most part, been very relaxed about dress codes. Most of the rules are
simply to maintain a piece of decency among the students. The code basically calls for
undergarments to remain concealed, provocative skin can t be shown, shirts must have sleeves,
and leg wear must be longer than your fingertips with your hands at your sides. However, there
are some inconsistencies with dress codes that I have noticed and can t seem to understand.
There seems to be lenience for boys when it comes to the enforcement of dress codes. Of course,

The Catholic Church s response to the Western Schism was vastly important to its respectability
and authority in regards to the faithful of that time. The Western Schismwas only a temporary
misunderstanding, even though it compelled the Church for forty years to seek its true head; it
was fed by politics and passions, and was terminated by the assembling of the councils of Pisa and
Constance. 1 After the Avignon Papacy, the Catholic Church had three men claiming to be pope
.
One man elected in Rome, one in Avignon, France, and one elected by the Council of Pisa. This
was very detrimental to the Catholic theology which states that it can trace every pope back to St.
Peter, the first pope. The Catholic faithful were not sure which of the three men was the true pope
and which, if any of them, they should listen to. It was a very confusing time for all the faithful
living in this time, and a very annoying situation for the true pope who was now seen by many to
be as questionable as the other two in regards to not being the true pope. The three men knew what
a mess this situation was and two of them wanted to deal with the situation, so as to reduce
confusion among the faithful. The anti pope John XXIII called the Council of Constance to deal
with this situation. He offered to resign from the papacy, that he was never in possession of, if
the other two men would as well. The council met to depose of the two anti popes, to deal with
heretical teachings, and to protect the succession of the papacy. This council is one of the most
important ecumenical councils, as it helped to affirm the succession of the pope and to help to
resolve the confusion caused by these anti popes. The Council of Constance was called in 1414
by the Anti Pope John XXIII. It was called to resolve the conflict regarding the papacy and to
identify the true successor of St. Peter. Between November 1414 and June 1415, the council had a
total of 13 sessions, dealing with the papacy and how the pope was chosen. The council, enacted

The dVSS was FDA approved in the year 2000. The da Vinci has 2,250+ patents and additional
1,550 pending. The system is available in 6 continents, 64 countries, and 50 states (Intuitive
Surgical 2017).
The surgical system is capable of operating in many different categories such as Cardiac,
Colorectal, Gynecologic, Head Neck, Thoracic, Urologic, and General surgeries. Unfortunately,
the surgical system does not complete the required tasks on its own, it s controlled by an onsite
/offsite surgeon whilst the patient is monitored by a surgical team onsite in case of data
communication failure. The da Vinci Surgical System (dVSS) functions as a telemanipulator,
meaning any motion the surgeon performs with their hand, the robot will replicate. The system
works as a slave for and copies its master s movement. In most cases, the dVSS is utilized at onsite
surgeries; however, the dVSS is capable of accomplishing full off site surgeries. For instance, a
patient may be located at a hospital in Houston, and the surgeon could be working at a hospital in
Seattle. The dVSS s new model (XI) consists of four main components, Surgeon Console, Patient
Side Cart, Endowrist Instruments, and the Vision System.

I know that there is a unique difference between love and lust. In the Andrew Marvell poem To
His Coy Mistress, I would argue over the issue of love versus lust. In this poem, we are introduced
to a man who is infatuated with a young woman and wants to become intimate with her. He tries to
pursue this young woman, but the woman is playfully hesitant. The man is trying to explain to the
young woman if she keeps being resistant to him, they would never get a chance become intimate.
Could it be that the man really does have true lovefor the young woman? Or is that he is just lusting
for her gentle touch?

As we start the second part of the poem, the man begins to discuss the amount of time the
woman and he both have left on this earth. The man states in first couple of lines, But at my back
I always hear time s winged chariot hurrying near. The man is trying to tell the woman that they
should not wait to embrace each other physically because no one is here on this earth forever.
The man describes to the woman that all they will have left in the end is the grave. In the final
part of the stanza, the man says The grave s a fine and private place, but none I think do there
embrace. The man is trying to explain to the young woman that though the grave is a fairly
private place, they will not be able to make love because they are no longer here on this earth. He
also states that in the end he will no longer have the feelings he has for her now because his time
here on earth will be done for. At this particular part of the poem, I would say that the man is using
anything in his power to convince the young woman to sleep with him. The man seems very lustful
at this point, so the love that the man somewhat conveyed for the young woman at the beginning of
the poem has slowly drifted away.
In the final section of the poem, the man goes from loving the woman forever, to saying that there
is no time left here on this earth and that they should make love as soon
