nutrients using statistical analysis. Students were required to scientifically determine whether or

length and biomass of 20 random leaves grown in different chemical media s were measured and
this data was used to calculate statistical calculation such as the mean, standard deviation and t
value which was compared to the critical t value to determine whether or not the null hypothesis
was rejected. It was statistically calculated that the treatments that were nitrogen deficient and
phosphorus deficient had a p value greater than 0.05 and treatments that were water and potassium

Several seasons back, there was a program on one of the cable television stations entitled Long
Lost Family . The premise of the program was to reunite family members who had been separated
for many years, sometimes decades, to make a family whole again. Sometimes the story was about
parents and children lost through adoption or custody situations. Most frequently, it was about
siblings who, because of family feuds or other dysfunctions, had been apart for many years.
Sometimes other siblings had polarized around the two who were separated, causing increased

educator, activist, author, and politician. She is best known as the first African American woman
elected to United States Congressand the first woman and African American to run for president
of the United States. Chisholm s maiden name was Shirley Anita St. Hill, born on November
30, 1924. Chisholm was born in the impoverished Bedford Stuyvesant section of New York. Her
father was an emigrant from Guyana who worked as an unskilled laborer. Her mother who was a
native of Barbados, she was a seamstress along with a domestic worker. Due to their lack of money
Chisholm s parents had to separate Chisholm along with her three other sisters, for much of their

Fighting Shirley Chisholm is what Chisholm called herself during her first Congressional
Campaign. Beginning with her inauguration in 1968, championed liberal legislation from her seat
in the house. In 1969 Chisholm became the first African American Congresswoman. She
represented New York s 12th Congressional District for seven terms from 1969 to 1983.After
initially being assigned to the House of Forestry Committee, she shocked many by demanding
reassignment. Chisholm was placed on the Veterans affair committee, eventually, she graduated to

There have been various types of Insulating materials used within the electrical power industry
since the beginning of electrical power. And over the years scientist and environmentalist have
discovered that most if not all insulating materials are harmful to the human body or the
environment in one way or another, being shot term or long term exposures. First of all, the term
insulating material refers to a substance that has the ability to resist electrical energy flow to make
a conductor or copper wire safe to touch by human hands for instance. But all these insulating
materials will break down at a certain limit if the power is strong enough, so this tells us that there
is no such thing as a perfect insulator. This example explained above is one use for an insulating
material within the electrical power industry. Insulators serve many advanced purposes and
conditions. Be it Arc suppression within circuit breakers or voltage insulation on power lines, or
even protective equipment worn by electrical workers. A majority of these insulating materials have
been known to cause health hazards to humans and environmental hazards to the environment
