 RED TACTON meaning:
tacton: touch-act-on (action triggered by touching)
red: symbol of warmth and love conveying the cordiality of
    interpersonal communications

 Red Tacton works on HAN. (Human area networking), as a safe,
    high speed network transmission path.

 RedTacton uses weak electric fields on the surface of the body as a
    transmission medium.

 Technically its completely distinct to wireless and infrared.

 Communication possible through any part of the body.

 Red Tacton can achieve duplex communication over the human
body at a maximum speed of 10 mbps.
 Major components of device are a red Tacton transmitter and a
    receiver.
 Transmitter induces a weak electric field on the surface of the body.
 Receiver senses changes in the weak electric field on the surface of
the body caused by the transmitter.
 Red Tacton works upon the principle that the optical properties of
an electro-optic crystal can vary according to the changes of a weak
    electric field.
 using a laser and converts the result to an electrical signal in a
    optical receiver circuit.
 There are 2 basic methods:

1. Electric current method
2. Electric field method( Red Tacton)
A communications path can be created
with a simple touch.

 Two-way communication is supported
with speed 10 Mbps & Frequency less
than resonant frequency of human(70-
100 Mhz)

RedTacton can utilize a wide range of
materials as a transmission medium.
 The naturally occurring electric field induced on the surface of the
human body dissipates into the earth.
 Photonic electric field sensors are developed which bounces a
laser beam off of a crystal (electro-optic crystal) and measures the
     reflected beam.
 Opto-electro sensors has two features :
1. Should measure electric field from a device without contacting it.
2. Ultrawide band measurement possible & Should support one
     point measurement independent of ground.
MECHANISM OF COMMUNICATION WITH
           REDTACTON
 In addition to the WANs (Internet) and LANs, there are applications best
served by Human Area Networks (HANs) as well.
 Many human movements like touching, gripping, walking, stepping
etc. can lock or unlock equipments or start or stop an equipment or can
    result in data transfer
 Communication starts when any body part or embedded system gets in
contact through various physical contacts according to human natural
    movements .
 Bandwidth is not at all affected with the variations in the number of
users and also not affected with the use of duplex operation.
 Because the transmission path is surface of the body, the speed is not
    compensated in congested areas.
 In addition to the human body, various conductors and dielectrics can
be used as transmission media. Conductors and dielectrics may also be
    used in combination.
 Safety is obviously the primary concern before the implementation of
    this technique.
 The transmitting and receiving electrodes of the Red Tacton transceiver
are completely covered with insulating film.
 So the body of the person acting as the transmission medium is
    completely insulated.
 When communication occurs, displacement current is generated by the
electrons in the body because the body is subjected to minute electrical
    fields.

ADVANTAGES
 Data transfer is faster and easier through this technology.

 Data loss during transfer is less.
 Use of minimum amount of power (of some milli volt range).
 Security is more.

                       DISADVANTAGES
 It can be useful within few centimeters.
 Effects on human body is still under research.
 Cost of development.
 as walkthrough ticket gate

 a cabinet that opens only to authorized people

 a television control that automatically chooses favorite programs.

The system also improves security.

 It can dominate Bluetooth technology in future

 It ensures that only drivers can open their cars by touching the doors if
the keys are in their pockets, not people around them.
 Red Tacton is an exciting new technology for Human Area
    Networking.
 It is best to connect network within short distances with speed of
    10Mbps.
 There is no any type of problem of hackers as our body itself is the
    transmission media.
 It can dominate Bluetooth technology in the future and can end the use
    of cables.
 It supports personal devices like PDA’s and notebooks.
 Since it provides high speed communication, it can provide seamless
service wherever, whenever and whoever uses it.
