ABSTRACT
 Redtacton is a technology that uses the surface of the
human body as a high speed and safe network transmission
path. So in this paper we are explaining the unique new
functional features and enormous potential of Redtacton as
a Human Area Networking technology. Here, the human
body acts as a transmission medium supporting half duplex
communication at 10Mbit/s.

INTRODUCTION
 Redtacton uses minute electric field emitted on the
surface of the human body as medium for
transmitting the data.
 Redtacton can achieve duplex communication over
the human body at a maximum speed of 10Mbps.
 Redtacton works through shoes and clothing also.

WHAT IS REDTACTON
 It uses the minute electric field emitted on
the surface of the human body as a safe
high speed network transmission path.
 Also known as PICO-net- Point to Point
network.
 Redtacton involves initiating
communication with a touch that could
result in a wide range of actions in
response. Transmission path is formed
when a part of the human body comes in
contact.
HUMAN AREA
NETWORKS(HAN)
 HAN uses human body as communication
network and uses the concept of redtacton to
transmit the data.
 HAN transmit the data between the human
centered electronic devices and computers and
other network devices via total human natural
physical activities.
WORKING PRINCIPLE
 Redtacton is based on the principle that optical properties of electro-optic
crystal can vary according to changes in electric fields.
 Redtacton allows information to be exchanged between two transceivers
without the need for a server to store or process information.
 Redtacton receiver and transceiver are the two major devices in the
transmission.
 Redtacton majorly depends on the human natural physical movements.
WORKING PROCEDURE
 Transmitter sends data.
 Transmitting transceiver creates a change in the field.
 Field from human body dissipate into earth.
 Electric field is received using sensing technology.
 Receiving transceiver recognizes the change in the electric field.
 Sensing technology measures the weak electric field induced.
 Electro-optic crystal uses laser to convert and read the signal.

 Restrictions over the speed in Bluetooth and
infrared technology in multi-user environment.
 Redtacton is the human area networking
technology that uses the human body as a safe
high speed networking transmission path.
THREE FEATURES OF
RED TACTON
TOUCH
 Touching, gripping, sitting, walking,
stepping and other human movements
can be the triggers for unlocking or
locking, starting or stopping equipment,
or obtaining data.
 Using RedTacton, communication starts
when terminals carried by the user or
embedded in devices are linked in
various combinations through physical
contact according to the human’s
natural movements.
BROADBAND AND INTERACTIVE

from notebook PCs with just a touch

NEW BEHAVIOUR PATTERNS:
An electrically conductive sheet is
embedded in the table.
A network connection is initiated
simply by placing a lap-top on the
table.
Using different sheet patterns
enables segmentation of the table
into subnets.
RedTacton can carry music or video between headsets,
mobile devices, mobile phones, etc.
Users can listen to music from a RedTacton player simply by
putting on a headset or holding a viewer.
Potential applications…
Carrying a mobile Redtacton-capable
device in one's pocket, ID is verified
and the door unlocked when the user
holds the doorknob normally.
Secure lock administration is
possible by combining personal
verification tools such as fingerprint
ID or other biometric in the mobile
terminal.

CONCLUSION…
 The advent of RedTacton technology by NTT is in itself
revolutionary, which will likely be targeted for use in
applications such as wireless headphones, wearable
medical devices, security applications, point-of-sale
interactions etc. This could get as simple as two people
equipped with RedTacton devices being able to exchange
data just by shaking hands.
 It is amazing to see such a technology in the lives of human
beings who always want comforts for their living in the
present world.

  • 3. ABSTRACT  Redtacton is a technology that uses the surface of the human body as a high speed and safe network transmission path. So in this paper we are explaining the unique new functional features and enormous potential of Redtacton as a Human Area Networking technology. Here, the human body acts as a transmission medium supporting half duplex communication at 10Mbit/s.

  • 5. INTRODUCTION  Redtacton uses minute electric field emitted on the surface of the human body as medium for transmitting the data.  Redtacton can achieve duplex communication over the human body at a maximum speed of 10Mbps.  Redtacton works through shoes and clothing also.
  • 6. WHAT IS REDTACTON  Red-Warmth,  T-Touch,  Acton-Action.  Redtacton: An innovative Human Area Networking technology that uses the surface of the human body as a transmission path.

WHAT IS REDTACTON  It uses the minute electric field emitted on the surface of the human body as a safe high speed network transmission path.  Also known as PICO-net- Point to Point network.  Redtacton involves initiating communication with a touch that could result in a wide range of actions in response. Transmission path is formed when a part of the human body comes in contact.
  • 8. HUMAN AREA NETWORKS(HAN)  HAN uses human body as communication network and uses the concept of redtacton to transmit the data.  HAN transmit the data between the human centered electronic devices and computers and other network devices via total human natural physical activities.

WORKING PRINCIPLE  Redtacton is based on the principle that optical properties of electro-optic crystal can vary according to changes in electric fields.  Redtacton allows information to be exchanged between two transceivers without the need for a server to store or process information.  Redtacton receiver and transceiver are the two major devices in the transmission.  Redtacton majorly depends on the human natural physical movements.

WORKING PROCEDURE  Transmitter sends data.  Transmitting transceiver creates a change in the field.  Field from human body dissipate into earth.  Electric field is received using sensing technology.  Receiving transceiver recognizes the change in the electric field.  Sensing technology measures the weak electric field induced.  Electro-optic crystal uses laser to convert and read the signal.

Examples of Similar Applications: •Transfer songs to portable music players from notebook PCs with just a touch
  • 20. Potential applications… NEW BEHAVIOUR PATTERNS: An electrically conductive sheet is embedded in the table. A network connection is initiated simply by placing a lap-top on the table. Using different sheet patterns enables segmentation of the table into subnets. RedTacton can carry music or video between headsets, mobile devices, mobile phones, etc. Users can listen to music from a RedTacton player simply by putting on a headset or holding a viewer.
  • 21. Potential applications… Carrying a mobile Redtacton-capable device in one's pocket, ID is verified and the door unlocked when the user holds the doorknob normally. Secure lock administration is possible by combining personal verification tools such as fingerprint ID or other biometric in the mobile terminal. SECURITY APPLICATIONS:

CONCLUSION…  The advent of RedTacton technology by NTT is in itself revolutionary, which will likely be targeted for use in applications such as wireless headphones, wearable medical devices, security applications, point-of-sale interactions etc. This could get as simple as two people equipped with RedTacton devices being able to exchange data just by shaking hands.  It is amazing to see such a technology in the lives of human beings who always want comforts for their living in the present world.
