RECRUITMENT 
 Recruitment refers to the overall process of attracting, selecting and 
appointing suitable candidates to one or more jobs within an 
organization, either permanent or temporary. 
 In simple terms, recruitment is understood as the process of searching for 
and obtaining applicants for jobs, from among whom the right people can 
be selected. Theoretically, recruitment process is said to end with the 
receipt of applications, in practice the activity extends to the screening of 
applications so as to eliminate those who are not qualified for the job.
RECRUITMENT PROCESS
OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECT 
According to the study, Accenture met target objectives on the following 
major aspects in the recruitment process: 
 Candidate’s prior knowledge about the company 
 Satisfaction of the candidates with the physical ambience of the 
test/interview venue 
 Behavioral pattern of various interlocutors dealing with the candidates 
 Candidates who are willing to refer others for recruitment by the 
organization 
 Candidates willing to reapply if not selected in the first attempt 
 Candidates’ overall satisfaction with the complete recruitment and selection 
process.
The study also revealed that the following areas in the recruitment 
process require improvement: 
 Ease in filling up the candidate information form 
 Filtering efficiency of the HR round in the selection process

CONCLUSION 
 The purpose of this research was to understand the recruitment process 
in detail and also the candidate’s experience. All the aspects have been 
covered in the survey starting from the physical ambiance of Accenture 
to the recruitment process and after going through the data analysis it 
can be concluded that the overall response has been very much positive 
and majority of the candidates are satisfied with the recruitment process. 
 This study is useful not only to Accenture for validating its recruitment 
processes but would also benefit other organizations in similar lines of 
business as a frame of reference for benchmarking their recruitment 
practices.
