2. These are all well known record labels
around the world ranging across from Sony
record label to warner music label, they all
in my opinion very basic logo’s, I think the
examples of records label are going straight
to the point by showing the name of the
record label with a mini logo.
3. EMI RECORD LABEL:
My personal opinion is that this logo is very basic but is still
successful at what it’s trying to achieve, the reason why I think this
is because when some see’s this on a album or a magazine advert
promoting an artist the audience will be aware of who they are and
it’s the record label for that artist, I think the reason why is because
it’s firstly easy to remember ‘EMI’ and also its not too complicated.
Positives:
• Easy to remember the name by looking at it
• Straight to the point
• Good use of colour(not too many colours used)
• Very basic
Negatives:
• Doesn’t include what ‘EMI’ stands for, could be used below
• My personal opinion the logo looks a bit out dated
4. SONY RECORD LABEL:
This record label likewise with EMI logo is very basic with the
white background and the simple ‘SONY and BMG’ but I think
that’s all it needs to be because everyone is aware of the ‘Sony’ style
logo so people will be aware it’s a sony production by adding
‘Music Entertainment’ people then become aware this is a record
label so therefore again I like this record label.
Positives:
• Again very basic and straight to the point
• Includes Music Entertainment
• The use of the music lyric instead of ‘&’
Negatives:
• Could be a bit boring
• Not very eye catching
5. WARNER RECORD LABEL:
The link between all these record label is they all basic so therefore I
will be looking to make my record label very basic as well. This one
is slightly different however as they have a little logo to make it
unique.
Positives:
• Uses a mini logo
• Includes the name of the record label bold & clearly
• Good use of font #
• Only used 3 colours which is successful (blue, white and black)
Negatives:
• Could be seen as too boring this could make it not very eye
catching.
