The Philippine Association of Academic/Research Librarians (PAARL) will hold its 5th Marina G. Dayrit Lecture Series on November 29, 2016 at the National University in Manila. The lecture series aims to provide a platform for discussions among library professionals. This year's concluding lecture will highlight the top research papers accepted for publication in PAARL's 2016 research journal. Authors will present the results of their works which further the library and information science profession in the Philippines. Free registration is provided to PAARL members who have paid dues from 2013 to 2016, with advanced registration required due to limited space.

The Philippine Association of Academic/Research Librarians, Inc. (PAARL) will be holding
its 5th Marina G. Dayrit Lecture Series with the theme Recognizing Best Researches: a
Colloquium on Philippine Libraries and Librarianship on November 29, 2016, 1:00 p.m.,
at the National University, M. F. Jhocson St., Sampaloc, Manila.
The lecture series, named in honor of our founding president, Ms. Marina G. Dayrit, aims to
provide a fertile learning environment for new ideas and enlightened discussions among
library and information professionals in the country.
This year's concluding lecture is a colloquium highlighting the top research outputs accepted
for publication in the 2016 issue of the PAARL Research Journal. Authors of said papers
shall present and disseminate the results of their works targeted at furthering the library and
information science profession in the country and cultivating the culture of research among
Filipino librarians/information professionals.
As PAARL's way of expressing gratitude to its members for their incessant support to the
Association's mission and objectives, registration to this forum is provide FREE to
institutional and individual (regular and associate) members who have paid their
membership dues in the last three years, that is, from 2013 to 2016. However, as the
venue can only accommodate a maximum of 90 persons, advanced registration is required.
