Co-designed a HBA buying program in 1985 that compared multiple vendor cost
prices and created a rapid way to purchase merchandise at the best price.
Developed a unique Scheduling Program In April 1998, that reduced over-time by
85%, saving an average of $1500/week and hundreds of man hours annually
increasing store profitability. The program was especially effective in helping
assign the appropriate personnel for specific scheduling needs.
In October 1998, Transformed an underutilized 5,000 sq. ft. 2nd Floor space, into
a unique Toy/Novelty Department, and Children's Play area that quickly became
the most profitable space in the store. This increased the budgeted sales for the
2nd fl. allowing for greater expansion.
In April 1999, Established a 1,200 sq. ft. Party Supply Department, enhancing the
2nd Floor space, dramatically increasing sales and profits.
In July 1999, enlarged a 500 sq. ft. Baby Department, into a successful $1,500 sq.
ft. Full Line Baby/Juvenile Department. Establishing Essentials Plus as the place
to go for all the new parents in the area. We became known as the "Baby Store,"
further increasing sales and profits.
