Commissioning and Operation:
 Cold, warm and Hot light up of boiler, rolling of turbine and Synchronization loading unit maintaining
parameters with in limit. Normal shutdown of unit boiler, turbine and other auxiliary.
 Avoiding tripping during house isolation of unit. Load shedding as per generation schedule in case of
emergency.
 Handling emergencies like plant blackout, tripping of boiler turbine and generator and its auxiliary.
 Issue and cancellation PTW (Permit to Work) system, safe isolation, personnel safety and equipment
safety.
 Prepare the plant performance report for the shift/day during the shift operation logging of all the
critical parameters is being done at all location by respective operators and engineers.
 Ensuring proper utilization of resources such as water (raw water & DM water), air (instrument air &
service air), auxiliary power, coal and oil (HFO, LDO & Plant Lubricants) etc & reducing their
wastage.
 Air tightening test, drainable and non-drainable hydro test of boiler (1950 TPH) of unit #1 and
unit#2.Air tightening test, rain test and kerosene test of ESP of unit #1 and unit #2.
 Successfully commissioning of boiler auxiliary like F.D. fan, I.D. fan, P.A. fan there oil skid, scanner
air fan and seal air fan.
 STG lube oil flushing of lube oil, lifting oil and control oil line. Acid pickling and flushing of BFP lube oil
line .Hydro test of condensate and feed lines.
 Boiler light up for chemical cleaning through EDTA process, detergent flushing of boiler tubes, feed
line and condensate line.

3. FABRICATION & ERECTIONS OF PRESSURE PARTS:
 Erection and Commissioning of Boilers and auxiliaries Tri Sector Air Pre Heater, Radial ID Fan,
Axial PA & FD Fan, Coal Milling System, Coal Piping and Ducting system as per approved
drawing and FQAP.
 Erection & Commissioning of Pulverized fuel Boilers and auxiliaries from client side &
coordinating with M/s BHEL , ThyssenKrupp, Chinese specialists and erection vendors for timely
and proper erection of boilers as per FQPs.
 Erection of pressure parts attachments like backstay, skin casing, seal box, leveler guide etc
 Erection & Fabrication of Pressure & Non pressure parts.
 Erection & Fabrication of IBR & Non IBR parts.
 Involved in Commissioning activities like Refractory dry Out, Alkali Boil Out, Hydro Test, and
steam blowing.
PERFORMANCE MONITIORING & MIS
 Daily review of progress& status, reporting for the day generation
 Involve in the Performance monitoring of 2*525 MW units. Its include daily monitoring of unit Heat
Rate, aux power consumption, Sp oil consumption & other performance parameter. Reduction of
variable cost through performance improvement.
 Preparing the Daily / Monthly MIS report for Senior Management.
 Preparing monthly performance report of the station.
 Preparation of Annual Business operating plan for the station.
 Preparation of Capex/Opex plan for the station as per CERC Guideline.
 Preparation of details of ORT/PRT meeting. Reviewing the status of crit ical projects of the station.
 Preparing the Board presentation on station performance.
 To Plan, control & supervise operational & maintenance tasks for a safe, reliable and smooth plant
operation, start up, shutdown and emergency conditions.

 Liasioning with BCCL/CCL for procurement of coal for Maithon Power Plant
 Transportation Management – Managing the transportation work to lift the 3.5 Million MT coal from
Rail and Road from various Mines of BCCL, CCL & TATA Steel.
 Co-ordination with BCCL & CCL officials to timely issue the Release orders as per FSA and to ensure
the good quality coal dispatch from mines.
 Co-ordination with Transporter to ensure the vehicles availability for lifting of coal from different
mines of BCCL and CCL
 Co-ordination with Railway officials for timely Rake Placement for dispatch as per indent
 Timely Rake Unloading to avoid penalties & Evacuation and shifting from Railway Siding to plant.
 Presenting various MIS to management for clear view and communication and follow up to avoid any
deviation in plan as per ACQ
 Billing & documentation for Rake supply, penalty calculation of Overload / under load, late supply,
demurrages charges if any.
 Transportation billing and Payment
 Vendor Management as per requirement of Job, Timely placement of PR and follow up for release of
PO to execute the work and vendor billing.
