Cervical radiculopathy usually involves one spinal nerve root and follows myotomal and dermatomal patterns, with proximal pathology like a disc or osteophyte. Peripheral neuropathy usually involves one peripheral nerve branch with distal entrapment. Key differences are seen on neurologic examination, with radiculopathy showing reflex changes and neuropathy typically not.
