Looking back, the author has learned more about what is required to produce a believable magazine. For the preliminary task, the author was unsure about layout and the main image did not stand out. The contents page also had a lot of empty space that looked unprofessional. However, for the main task the author improved by giving the masthead a black background, filling empty space on the contents page, and using a consistent color scheme to make the magazine appear more organized and cohesive. Overall, the author's magazine-making skills have clearly improved through experience using design software and learning to manage empty space and visual hierarchy effectively.
