Front cover
For my frontcoverI usedI site called‘dafont.com’ tocreate mymasthead
title.Byprintscreening,copyingandpasting,selectinganddeletingthe
background,Iwas able to transferthe image of thisfontand put iton my
frontcover andmake it my ownby editingthe colour. Ialsousedimage
placementtogetmy frontcoverimage,the barcode and the imagesof social
networks.

For my contentspage IrepeatedwhatI didto getthe mast headto create
brandinginmy magazine.Anothertechnique Iusedwasdeletingpartof an
image,the image of mymodel holdingamicrophone hadabackground,I
usedthe magic wandtool to selectaroundheras accuratelyas I couldto
delete the background,Ialsoeditedthe effectof herimage usingthe fx tool
and changingherto blackand white.These techniqueswere effectiveas
theycreatedthe aestheticIwantedformy magazine.
Double page spread
For my double page spread,inInDesignIuseda range of
techniques.Forthe layoutIusedthe columntechnique toordermy
textintosectionssothe writingwasneaton the pages,I blended
my imagesintothe backgroundusingthe gradientfeathertool in
effectsandalsogot mybackgroundcolourfor the page by taking
colourfrom the image usingthe eyedroppertool.The use of
differentcolour,size andfontsof textwasusedtohighlightcertain
area suchas importantinformationandquotations.These
techniqueswere effective astheyhelpedtocreate a more professionalappeal tomymagazine.
