Technology played a huge role in the construction of the magazine. The internet was used for research on existing music magazines and their appeals to help decide the direction. Blogger was used to post research and work over time for time management. Adobe InDesign proved efficient for creating and editing the front cover, contents page, and double page spread due to its effects and elements. Microsoft PowerPoint and SlideShare were used to create and upload this presentation about the technologies used.

2. • Technology plays a huge part of the designing
and production of a magazine. There are many
aspects of technology that make each individual
part. For example there is the internet, InDesign,
Photoshop and various amounts of photography.

3. The Internet
• The internet plays a huge role in the production of a
magazine, it is used for the research of all things and
can be used to communicate with reporters or people
who will be featured within the magazine.
• I used the internet to research existing music magazines
to find out which ones are more appealing then others
and why that is. Doing this research helped me decide
what way I was going to go with my magazine and how I
would bring in my audience. The other parts of the real
production are used through other means of technology.

4. Blogger
• I used blogger to post all of my activity
throughout this assignment starting from the
small research I did in the beginning, to finally
posting my front cover, contents and double
page spread of my music magazine The Scene.
• Blogger has helped me in time management, for
it has kept me up to date as to when I uploaded
certain posts, it has also helped me by storing all
of my work on there.

5. InDesign
• I used Adobe In Design to create, make
and edit my front cover, contents page
and double page spread. It proved very
efficient as it had lots of effects and
elements that made me create my
magazine.

• I used Microsoft office power point, to
create this very presentation. I then
uploaded the presentation to slideshare,
then embedded the link to my blog.
