2. What did you learn about technologies from
the process of constructing this product?
• During the process of creating our media product I have learnt a lot
about technologies. This helped me a lot through out the whole of my
media course. The use of technologies also helped us improve our
media product quite a lot.

3. Camera and Tripod
• One of the most used technologies used during making out media
product was a camera and tripod. During the preliminary task I
learned how to safely put the camera on the tripod so that it wont fall
off. Also during the preliminary task I learned that the tripod has to
be levelled so that it doesn’t wobble and fall over. We learned this
because it is likely that if the tripod falls over the camera will break.
The preliminary task also learned me that different placements and
angles of the camera can create different effects. This helped because
it gave us the idea to use a canted angle in our thriller film to create a
disorientated atmosphere.

4. Internet
• A very important part of what helped me with my pre-production
research was the internet. The internet helped me a lot because it
meant I could use google to find out information for certain parts of
my individual research. It also meant I could use survey monkey to
create my pre-production questionnaire. The internet also allowed
me to have an easy way to do my work and have it all in one place
through Blogger.

5. Blogger
• When I first created my blog and started uploading my work onto it I
realised it was a much easier way to see all of my planning rather
than having paper in a folder. Blogger is helpful because you can save
things as drafts and also embed videos and power points onto it as
part of research. Blogger is also a lot easier because you can access it
from any device with internet meaning I could check my work
wherever I was. It also allowed my group to check progress and stay
on top of our work as we could see everyone’s together.

6. Slide share
• Through using the internet and I blog I discovered Slide Share. Slide
Share allows me to imbed my power point presentations onto my
blog. Slider Share was really helpful for me as it meant that I could
use different ways of presenting my work to make it more interesting
than just essay looking work.

7. Conclusion
• In conclusion, I have learnt a lot about technologies whist creating my
media product. The things that I have learned about technologies will
help me in my A2 media course because it means I already know how
things work and I won’t have to learn to use things all over again next
year.
