2. • Technology across the board is used extensively to
produce a magazine. The technology covers the
research of the content, the production of the product
and then the distribution of the content. A few examples
of the bits of technology I used for the research of my
audience and the making of the final magazine were:
- The Internet
- InDesign
- Digital Cameras
- Blogger
- Slideshare

3. The Internet
• The Internet plays a very large role in the building of a
magazine and it proved very helpful in the production of
my one. But it starts with the research.
• I used the internet to look into already produced
publications on alternative music and fashion; looking at
the conventions it clearly follows and the typical forms
the magazine cover takes as well as how the page
spreads are layed out. This helped me realise what I
needed for my own magazine and led me the right way
to create a cover, contents page and double page
spread that fitted with the conventions set out by already
made magazines.

4. Blogger
• This website allowed me to pull all of my
research together into an order that fitted they
times it was done. It shows my progress from
small research into magazine conventions, to
the audience that I wanted to follow and later my
evaluating of my whole project.
• Blogger has helped me in time management, for
it has kept me up to date as to when I have
uploaded items and when I need to finish posts.
It’s a good website to use to store all the
information you have gathered. Making it a
fundamental part of my full piece.

5. InDesign
• Adobe InDesign was the software that I used to create
my magazine front cover, contents page and double
page spread.
• The tools I could use on it helped create various aspects
of my construction, for example the tools to formulate the
text on the double page spread to make all the columns
the same width and make the first letter of the paragraph
large than the other letters. This made it more
professional and gave it a less amateur element.
• This software has helped shape my product vastly with
the help of its tools and the effects it has to make my
magazine more unique but also fit with the conventions
set out by other music magazines that I have
researched.

6. Slideshare
• Finally Slideshare has been a good
website to funnel my PowerPoint's onto
my blog.
• This allowed me to add another level of
depth to my blog and evaluation.
