The student used various media technologies in the construction, research, and evaluation of their media project. They used a SLR camera to take photos for their digipak and magazine advert. They created their digipak using Photoshop and their magazine advert using the same software, though found Photoshop less useful for the advert. They gathered feedback on their digipak and advert from their target audience using Facebook. A Panasonic video camera was used to film clips for their music video, which were edited together in Premiere Pro. The completed video was uploaded to YouTube to be viewed by the public. PowerPoint and blogger were also utilized in the planning and research stages.

PHP Frameworks: I want to break free (IPC Berlin 2024)Ralf Eggert
In this presentation, we examine the challenges and limitations of relying too heavily on PHP frameworks in web development. We discuss the history of PHP and its frameworks to understand how this dependence has evolved. The focus will be on providing concrete tips and strategies to reduce reliance on these frameworks, based on real-world examples and practical considerations. The goal is to equip developers with the skills and knowledge to create more flexible and future-proof web applications. We'll explore the importance of maintaining autonomy in a rapidly changing tech landscape and how to make informed decisions in PHP development.
This talk is aimed at encouraging a more independent approach to using PHP frameworks, moving towards a more flexible and future-proof approach to PHP development.

LF Energy Webinar: Electrical Grid Modelling and Simulation Through PowSyBl -...DanBrown980551
Do you want to learn how to model and simulate an electrical network from scratch in under an hour?
Then welcome to this PowSyBl workshop, hosted by Rte, the French Transmission System Operator (TSO)!
During the webinar, you will discover the PowSyBl ecosystem as well as handle and study an electrical network through an interactive Python notebook.
PowSyBl is an open source project hosted by LF Energy, which offers a comprehensive set of features for electrical grid modelling and simulation. Among other advanced features, PowSyBl provides:
- A fully editable and extendable library for grid component modelling;
- Visualization tools to display your network;
- Grid simulation tools, such as power flows, security analyses (with or without remedial actions) and sensitivity analyses;
The framework is mostly written in Java, with a Python binding so that Python developers can access PowSyBl functionalities as well.
What you will learn during the webinar:
- For beginners: discover PowSyBl's functionalities through a quick general presentation and the notebook, without needing any expert coding skills;
- For advanced developers: master the skills to efficiently apply PowSyBl functionalities to your real-world scenarios.
Neuro-symbolic is not enough, we need neuro-*semantic*Frank van Harmelen
Neuro-symbolic (NeSy) AI is on the rise. However, simply machine learning on just any symbolic structure is not sufficient to really harvest the gains of NeSy. These will only be gained when the symbolic structures have an actual semantics. I give an operational definition of semantics as “predictable inference”.
All of this illustrated with link prediction over knowledge graphs, but the argument is general.
UiPath Test Automation using UiPath Test Suite series, part 4DianaGray10
Welcome to UiPath Test Automation using UiPath Test Suite series part 4. In this session, we will cover Test Manager overview along with SAP heatmap.
The UiPath Test Manager overview with SAP heatmap webinar offers a concise yet comprehensive exploration of the role of a Test Manager within SAP environments, coupled with the utilization of heatmaps for effective testing strategies.
Participants will gain insights into the responsibilities, challenges, and best practices associated with test management in SAP projects. Additionally, the webinar delves into the significance of heatmaps as a visual aid for identifying testing priorities, areas of risk, and resource allocation within SAP landscapes. Through this session, attendees can expect to enhance their understanding of test management principles while learning practical approaches to optimize testing processes in SAP environments using heatmap visualization techniques

question 4
1. How did you use media technologies in the construction, research and planning
evaluation?
Within my media project I used many different
technologies in my construction of the music video and
within my research and planning of my digipak and music
advert.
Back within the planning stages of my project I used a SLR
camera which I was able to take some images which looked
professional. I was able to use the SLR camera well as I’m
used to using that kind of equipment. I believe that using
this equipment worked well as it gave a good focus and
some very different settings which could of been used. I
decided to leave the setting on an automatic setting for
most of the photos that I took for my digipak and for my
magazine advert, although one of the photos within my
digipak is a close up image, for this image I decided to use
a different setting which worked well, I was able to get up
close to the image without the focus blurring to much.
Overall I believe that this was a useful technology to use, I
had no problems at all using this piece of equipment and I
was happy with the results which I got at the end.
2. To then make my digipak I used a program
call photo shop. This again was a program
which I was familiar with. I didn’t have any
majors problems with the software, although
sometimes it was slightly confusing as some
of the icons didn’t do what I thought they
would do. This program on the other hand
was very useful while I was creating my
digipak, I was able to change images to
different effects such as black and white, as
well as add on unusual effects such as a
“pencilled” effect. I was able to explore lots I then decided to create my magazine

3. After creating my magazine advert and digipak, I
felt like it would be a good idea to ask my
target audience what they thought of both of
the objects which I had created. To do this I
decided to use a well known social network,
face book. By using face book I was able to
look at what the audience I had asked thought
about the products which I had created. It
was a simple source to use to ask questions
and get answers.
I firstly set up a group on face book, which I then
added some of the audience which I was
targeting at. They were then bale to see the
products which I created. I then asked some I was able to take it to consideration

them for the better.
Using the particular technology worked well as its a simple and easy way to get the
feed back which I needed. Also as my target audience was for ages of 16 – 25’s , this
is the best place to try and communicate as a lot of this age range use face book
either weekly or even maybe daily.

simple and easy to use. It consisted of
an SD card which we were then able to
slot into the computer when we wanted
to add our clips onto the Premiere Pro
software.
We were able to use the camera in many
ways. We decided most of the time to
stand the camera onto the tripod this
then gave a steady shot of what we
wanted, this either being close up, mid

Throughout using the camera we even The settings on the camera were pretty

effect quite a few times within my
music video, this was the cross dissolve.
This worked well within my music
video. I was also able to cut certain
clips and add new bits on to other bits

6. After creating my music video, I was then able
to show the public by embedding the video
on to a technology called you tube. You
tube is a great way to show off many
different videos. I thought that buy using
you tube it would give me the best chance
for my music video to be seen. You tube is

7. This is definitely something
which I found useful within this
technology.
Blogger was the last technology
which I then used within my
project. I found blogger very
useful as not only does it let you
submit your work, but it also
